The Salt Lake Tribune

Most of the articles are broken up by HTML code so it's obvious that people at the Tribune aren't checking the app for quality.

Weak, slow and unresponsive. Who wants to wait 5 mins for everything to load? Uninstalled almost immediately.

Sections often fail to load on first try or won't load at all. So far obituaries have never once loaded. Cannot copy and paste text. Too much crossover of the same article in several sections. Slow. Check out THE GUARDIAN for how to do it.

Why even make an app if you don't put any real effort into it? This is no more than a WebView of the mobile website with more ads. Not a good native app experience.

This is the slowest news app in the market place. I am guessing they only work on their apple app since this one is poorly done. All their ad revenue is being thrown away.

.....to your obituary section? No updates or new ones for at least 2 weeks. I'm an obituary junkie and like yours best.

Still need an app that allows full subscriber access like the e-edition, but is easy to read on the phone. This shows most of the stories that are in the print/e-edition, but still missing some content. A good start that will hopefully get better.

Takes a very long time to load and about half the time it will not load anything but an ad. Will never find anything in a search, even using their own criteria like local news or sports. Am I doing something wrong? Very frustrating.

Uses 14% of my battery whether I'm using it or not. Cannot force stop. Task killer won't stop it either.

Clearly this app has been abandoned. Don't download. No updates in 2 years. With ever changing operating systems it is obsolete. Use their website or choose another news source.

Last update has lost speed and functionality. Slow starting, loading, searching. Incomplete lists in any category or search. Often have to resort to their website via browser on my phone.

Trib could benefit from updates more frequently on stories.

Great app for easier search compared to mobile website. But we are missing out on the multimedia content. Videos need to be added for full experience.

Garbage app, barely better than the site. SL Trib has gone downhill over the years.

It shows you a list of articles. Can't tell what date they are from our search and finds anything in looking for. Easier to do an Internet search and pull up the paper with Google.

Rarely loads stories on the first try. Search feature is even worse. You get the ad banner with a blank screen and no story. I have never been able to successfully login to Disqus through my mobile device on this ap. The load screen just spins indefinitely.

Very well done app that appears to have been well developed and tested prior to release. Puts the KSL app to shame. Even ad placement is unobtrusive. Comments also load well.

Really poor GUI. disqus SUCKS! Why? There is a reason The Tribune is losing readers. From reporting to editing to publishing SLTRIB needs to do better. The web site SUCKS & the app is not much better. I subscribe again but delivery is unreliable.

Takes well over a minute to load and doesn't support landscape mode. I hope for some updates soon.

Love the Tribune. App is good on the phone. I read more on my tablet. This app needs to be able to work in landscape mode.

So the Ipad version gets a complete rewrite but we still don't have landscape mode for Andriod and loading takes a long time. Please take Android tablet users seriously.

This app is very slow to load articles, I usually end up going elsewhere for local news.

Works okay as a news reader, but for whatever reason it hangs when logging into Disqus. *6/12/13–Dropped another star, the Disqus login problem is super annoying, and the app hasn't been updated for 4 months.
