About The Slow-Carb Diet

The Photo Diet Tracker for those on The Slow-Carb Diet® and The 4-Hour Chef®

The Slow-Carb Diet® App is a complement to The 4-Hour Body® App that makes it easy for you to visually track your Slow-Carb Diet® by taking quick photos of your meals.

This simple photo diet tracking app lets you take a quick two-tap snapshot of your meal before opening your mouth. Even without a prescribed diet, this awareness alone will result in fat-loss.

But why?

Research has confirmed that people who use food diaries lose three times as much weight as those who don't. But food diaries require time-consuming entries often written long after eating. Also, according to researchers at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, taking photographs of meals prior to eating is more effective than food diaries. The photographs acted as an instantaneous intervention and forced the subjects to consider their choice before the damage was done. One participant of this so-called "flash diet" said: "I was less likely to have a jumbo bag of M&Ms. It curbed my choices. It didn't alter them completely, but who wants to take a photo of a jumbo bag of M&Ms?"

"The fastest way to correct a behavior is to be aware of it in real time, not after the fact." --Tim Ferriss

Ads annoy me. I try to buy good apps. When I buy them, I expect the ads to disappear. Please fix this. I don't need to see an ad for the 4HB app or book...I already bought them both, thanx. Also, app doesn't place the photos of each meal under the correct date. Really poorly made and doesn't have a lot of relevant features to the 4hb app. A meal planner perhaps? Some recipies? I know it's a free app but really has no point beyond advertising the 4hb app.

it works, however I feel like you should be able to do more than just pictures, you should be able to track nutrient content as well, protein etc etc.

The pictures are clear and beautiful. Very easy to use. And the tracking is good. I wish it did a few other things but....

Love this app. Makes it easy to track my food. Minor changes would make it way better: stop counting dinner as part of next day, sort days from newest to oldest (or allow that option), allow editing text on existing entries.

L70%
by L####:

It's really annoying that the photos don't line up under the right date when you're viewing all meals. They're right when you click on the individual ones. It's annoying enough that I will likely stop using it.

Y70%
by Y####:

Its a camera that takes photos of your food......yippee another completely useless app.

C70%

Would be awesome if you could export or post days at a time to fb or other sources.

Good, minor error. The pic posts on the rght date but displays on the wrong date so it makes you second guess what day or meal you're on. Pretty good app still though. Limited to just snap, title and short description

Galaxy S ll. App doesn't work well. Snapped pics of four meals first day using it, July 20th. The fourth meal shows up on the second row, what should be the 21st. Top two rows are labeled 20th even though three of the meals on second row are from the 21st. When I click on the pictures each has the correct description, i.e. "dinner, fri jul 20" despite the incorrect row label. Also missing one meal from the 21st that I snapped.

I searched for "slow carb" and "slow carb diet" on my phone without any luck. Using my pc I went back to the blog to see if I could find a better keyword to search, and I did - "parsida". This must be the company who made the app. So if you have problems finding the app on your phone/tablet, do as I did - search for "parsida" and you will see it.

Its fine. I do this with the camera on my phone anyways, but what I was expecting was a voice operated note taker for a cheat day list. I use "note to self" for my list...maybe that's why its the"stripped down version"
