About How To Do Makeup Tutorial
It is difficult at any age to look your best. Young women will often have oily skin and blemishes. While older women might face tougher challenges like aging and sun exposure. But there are makeup products and skin care products that will help correct and conceal skin issues that have occurred over the years.
It is very difficult to look at yourself independently and determine that your look is outdated or unappealing. It is very hard to change a look that you have been using for 5 or more years. But if you want a new look, you should consult a makeup and beauty expert to get away from that old look. A beauty expert is always objective and they will look at your yourself for exactly what it is. These experts can be located at cosmetic counters in department stores and beauty salons. You can also find beauty consultants that will come to your house for individual one on one consultation. Any of these experts will provide great makeup tips.
However if you don't want to consult an expert there are proper ways on how to use makeup. The first is not to use too much makeup on your face. In this case, more is not better. You should always test out new products first, before you buy them in large quantities. You can do this by getting a sample or trial size container of a product, especially if the product is expensive. If a certain makeup product causes you to break out, you do not want to be caught with an expensive jar of it.
Always make sure you put on makeup in the right order for the best effect. The proper order to apply makeup is: cleansing, rinsing, astringents and moisturizers. Then apply foundation, eyeliner and eye shadow. Next up is mascara, eyebrow penciling and then blush. Then follow with lip primer, liner and lip stick. Finally finish with finishers. You will generally not apply all of these products at once, but you understand. You always want to start with cleaning your skin and then work your way outwards to get to the final touches. If oily skin is a problem, you should use products that minimize shine. If dry skin is a problem, you should use a product that includes more moisturizer. If you think you have large pores, you should use a product that will tighten them up before applying foundation. If you are getting older, you should use a wrinkle smoothing product before you apply any foundation. Your age and skin will dictate what you should apply to your face.
One of the rites of passage for young women in the United States is learning how to apply makeup. It goes right along with the first time a girl shaves her legs and goes on her first date. I remember that my mom was the one who taught me the basics, along with some teen magazines. I was only allowed to wear makeup in stages, too. For example, when I was in the seventh grade, I was allowed to choose two items from my mom's makeup bag to wear to school. Eyeliner was completely off limits, as was dark eyeshadow. Usually, I went with mascara and lip gloss.
As each school year passed, I was allowed to choose one more item out of my mom's makeup bag. I wasn't allowed to own my own makeup until I started high school, but it didn't really matter. Each year I looked forward to putting on a little bit more. By starting me off slowly, my mom was teaching me how to apply makeup. Less is more, she always said. I can still hear her telling me that the trick to wearing makeup is to make it look like you aren't wearing any. Women are supposed to be naturally beautiful, not beautiful because they've got blue eyeshadow and gobs of eyeliner. Actually, the more I think about it, the more I think my mom was against eyeliner in general.
Still, one of my fondest memories of my mom was when she was teaching me how to apply makeup. I learned more from her than I did from any of the Seventeen magazines that I read growing up, and I never realized it until later on in life.
