Sleep Genius With Alarm

For $10, I certainly expect more. The app claims to sync with my Fitbit, yet after several nights of using the program, the Dashboard still claims that I haven't completed a sleep cycle yet. Wake up alarm is no better than my stock Samsung alarm app.

I have used this app for about 2 years. I love the music and alar,. I've never paid for the extra stuff

I agree with some other people who have commented. The original version worked SOOOOO much better. Every morning I go and force stop the app just so it won't drain the battery. The original tunes were better. It still works well for me, just wished some of the older features were still in use on the app.

It can't work wile screen locked (most music apps do), music is distracting, can't hear / feel any binaural beats, only ancient PM / AM time format. Needs improvement. A lot.

Has some major bugs and for the cost it should be more reliable. Don't waste your money.

But it's not as simple to use as it should be. Hopefully this update will take care of that.

Older version worked a lot better. Music crashes after about half an hour of it being on.

The sounds in the music are so jarring that each time the tones sound it wakes me back up

Top app. Helps with deep restful sleep

Amazing app was recommended by a someone who i met in a training course who suffered with insomnia as well. Large file size and runs in the background but worth it.

Skeptical at first and hard to get used to for me. But after using it for close to two months I have to say this app is my favorite. It helps me fall asleep and I always look forward to waking up to the default alarm. I start my day in a great mood every day. Highly recommend it to anyone who needs that little push to help them sleep.

The free serenity music is good and probably only reason why am using free version now. Keen to upgrade but noting last update was in 2015. Other Sleep Apps seem to e.g. have better monitoring and reporting now. Documentation is non existing on the so called smart features. Wondering if NASA/Developer is still serious about this App, seems the focus has shifted?

Took 2 days and multiple reinstalls to get the upgrade purchase to validate. Now that it works I love it! As someone who was used to falling asleep with the sound of my TV or radio, this is a great alternative.

Shame about the size of the app but nonetheless, absolutely faultless. Definitely recommend for those who find it difficult to sleep, or just want a relaxing wake up

Great sleep! Great idea on the alarm with gradual wake up. Only problem is that can't trust the alarm. So many times I can't sleep because I know I have something important in the morning. I need 100% reassurance that the alarm is set to the right time, be able to check it without having to go back into the app (where I could possibly mess it up in my sleepy clumsiness) and that it will wake me up. If I could trust the alarm this would be a 5 star app.

After paying $10 in-app (thus not refundable), you get three extra "tunes" to fall asleep with (none of which I liked). Then they seem to require you create an account for which you have to agree with a ridiculous ToS and an INSANE privacy policy. Excuse me? I just want to sleep, not be spammed with marketing emails and threatened with lawsuits. Furthermore, the app has no useful explanations, just a 90 or 180 minute button, a volume slider and You-Figure-It-Out. The app gives me a very unprofessional impr.

I'm rather disappointed. The premise of the app is great but I think all the hype that comes with it actually ends up being counterproductive. I have no problem falling asleep to Relax Melodies or Doze, but Sleep Genius (despite its lovely music) left me awake and anxious. Bummer. Apparently, it's hit or miss.

This new version runs in the background all the time even with no alarms set. The alarms volume control is relative to the media volume on the device. The built in Smart alarm on my Samsung GS5 works better. I hate programs running in the background. Even though I paid for the full version.. I'll prbly Uninstall until this is changed. The original was leaps and bounds better than this junk. And worst of all....the new user interface is iPhone user friendly (idiot proof)..

The app opens with a video advertisement for itself... Yeah I downloaded your app already I don't need to be convinced to download it.... Redundant. Waste of my phone space. The app has a terrible terrible user interface that makes no sense, the back button doesn't work in app, just so many problems.

The music is good and did help me sleep. The actual app is hard to use and the alarm is a pain.

The sound and music in the app are scientific and proven, they came from research to help astronauts to sleep, that's true, so it REALLY helps you sleep, Although beware the creators are not savvy in software design, so you'll be a little annoyed by the UI, but that's a small price to pay for sleeping well. 5 stars for the science.

This is a great app to get your body used to sleeping quickly and tracking the quality of sleep. Peaceful tones.

I would use it for a while especially at night time because I have a tendency to wake up and watch the clock otherwise at night. However, when I would occasionally need a power nap I could not hardly believe it, that,that part didn't want to work for me for some reason! Help me out with this problem please! Thanks! Connectivity to wearables list does not include Gear 2 Neo. No way to sign in on my watch to gain the full features paid for on the main app. "Sleep" timer could benefit from more options on length of time ie 60 min setting. LOVE the wake up alarm! I combine it with a fade up daylight lamp alarm - great combo for waking up well rested!

Just wasted 10 bucks on this crap. There are plenty of free sleep apps on the market that accomplish more than this app.

Sleep wise amazing, I sleep like I haven't for years. The only reason it a 3 star and not 5 the alarm goes off every day, even when set to off. If they fix this I will buy this app, but until they do I am not buying it.

I was very skeptical, having tried many "sleeping" apps. But I actually did wake up regreshed after about two nights of repeated use. My main issue is I cannot get the alarm to work AT ALL. If anyone knows why please contact me. I've also tried using the help/feedback feature and get an error every time :(

Could not test as it keeps freezing on Android 4.4. The lack of transparency on what is in the paid features (3 revive cycles - so???) indicates hype only. It also is constantly displayed on icon bar, cannot get it out. Very annoying. Had to uninstall.

The sleep part works fine but the alarm used to work and now doesn't. I set it to go off and it does nothing

Music to put you to sleep, and wake you up. It's nice, but that's all.

I've paid for premium. I set the awake alarm and chose the sunrise tune. Instead get woken up by the power sleep music?! I've emailed 'contact details' and no response... so 2 stars for this app :(

I cannot fall asleep without the TV on. We moved into a new home and the cable was not installed for 6 days after we moved in. I needed something and I found sleep gen. I started sleep genius and it worked. I fell asleep and woke up with more energy each day. Now, no more TV and we just turn on sleep genius and out we go

I am asking for a refund the product states it works with Samsung Gear fit and it does not I paid the $10 to upgrade and after that it only had options for jawbone and fit bit

I use this at home, in noisy hotels while on business and it always does the trick.

After having contacted the Customer service regarding the issues mentioned below, I have to edit my review. The CS is really poor, they take days to reply, don't seem to care at all and the tone of their emails is almost rude. I regret having purchased the app. // This app seems great but I wish I could get it to work! I'm not able to create an account (gives me an error message) or to track my nights. I got the alarm to work after a few days of trying but I wouldn't rely on it. It's a shame.

This app used to work better before, the alarm never comes on for me. it also always leaves the notification symbol on my phone which makes me assume my alarm is set. I used to use this on my old phone and it was amazing

I was about to buy the paid version, but the newest update has broken the alarm function. Until it works again, I can't recommend this software.

The preview screenshots for this app show features which are actually only available in the paid version. The user interface is *terrible*, with unexplained jargon and no useful help included at all. I can't comment on the actual function much, because while this app apparently used to include a couple of demo sounds, it now has only one - one which makes a loud noise every now and then which kept waking me up! Really low grade stuff.
