IntelliRing Free for Android
1. Ringing loud when your phone is in your pocket, a bag, or cover. Then, as you pull your phone out, the volume is lowered.
2. Ringing just a bit louder than the ambient noise when not in your pocket (no more embarrassing loud ringtones in your quiet office).
3. Beeping subtly, when your phone is flat on your desk, face down (meeting mode).
4. Silencing your phone for an interval you set - useful e.g. when you go see a movie.
5. All of the above can be enabled for audible notification sounds as well (e.g. SMS, email, etc.).
6. Mute an incoming call by placing your phone face down (soft reject - the phone call is not rejected, just stops ringing).
Everything happens automatically right after an incoming phone call (or new notification) is detected. The ringer volume level is auto-adjusted based on determined environment (all relevant available device sensors are used - including microphone for ambient noise detection). Additional transitions occur while the phone is ringing and changes to the environment are detected (quieter once pulled out of pocket, vibrator stopped when uncovered, etc).

NOTE: this is a 30-day trial version to convince you of the functionality and the care & effort that went into creating it.
I can't hear it on weekends when my phone is laying about. Should be a weekly/daily schedule function.
I use a 3rd party app for SMS, Textra, and there is no sound whatsoever when I have the notifications checked
I like the silence timer
I use ghis app and I like it.

For meetings and at the theatre is perfect.
App is handy and useful. I particularly like the ambient noise feature that adjusts the ring volume based upon surrounding noise. This also happens to be my chief complaint as if it seems to be unnecessarily loud in relation to the noise level in the room. Otherwise, am outstanding app.
I loved this app on my old GS4 running lollipop. It worked wonderfully. Got a new Nexus 6P running marshmallow and it doesn't play nice with my sound settings. My sound was kept silent at all times while the app was installed. I would really like to use this app again, but this glitch makes it impossible.
Could be good but doesn't work on stock Nexus 5 on 5.1.1 so pitty and uninstall. Could you please fix this?
Was absolutely brilliant but since Lollipop was updated to 5.1.1 it has stopped behaving and keeps muting the phone randomly so I am missing important calls and messages. I have now upgraded my phone and I have only got the trial version on reinstalling it :-(
Does not work on moto g3. It mutes everything
Great, haven't missed a call or gotten an unwanted one since I started using this. However, whenever I try to record a video, it forces me to turn on the silent mode timer.
Nexus 6 just mutes sound. I wish it worked.

If using LightFlow, make sure to set Volume Control Method (in LightFlow) to "Android standard notification volume" otherwise IntelliRing will completely silence notifications.
Can't shoot video until you turn app off. Other than that it works OK so far. I just hope the paid version works as well.
The automatic volume control works like magic, I hardly touch the volume keys anymore! So why 4/5 stars? First it doesn't work on my wife's Nexus 5 with Lollipop. Second, on the Lollipop (US GS5), the auto popup activates vibration mode that is not "silent" - I simply disabled it and use the Android Interruption feature instead... So this app needs an update. But otherwise it still is worth ever penny...
Still no response from support about activating upgrade after reinstalling. Update : uninstalled and the problem of no sound. Fixed
Nexus 4 upgraded to 5.1 and this app immediately muted my ring tone. Loved it until then but now it's useless. I was hoping the 5.1.1 upgrade would bring it back to life but no such luck.
It Works Pretty Nice, But Its Not Something That I Would Purchase.
Stoped working with android 5.1, the volume level drops to bottom, but its note mute
Why dose not show sign vibration? but this app is good
Doesn't work on Android 5.1
Just installed it and got told to upgrade to paid version because it has expired
No support, no fix for 5.1
Thank you good app
After nearly a year of happiness the app started to behave erratically - it randomly sets the phone on silent during busy hours, I started to miss important calls, so had to remove it. Good while it lasts.
I emailed the company weeks ago with no answer. I downloaded this when it was featured on appgrattis and LOVED ❤ IT. I have recently upgraded to the galaxy 5 and can't get the premium version without paying for it. Please help!!
IntelliRing Free is a 30 day trial. For me, that's a big plus as I use free versions as trials and do not like giving advertising networks access to my phone - especially not if the app has accessibility turned on for notification sound control. You may be looking for an advertising supported version - which this is not. Next up: seeing if this sucks my battery flat. Some of the other apps that have pretty much this same functionality have constant wakelocks to monitor ambient volume. hoping this one is better.
This app is actually very cool. One problem really irritates me. When in silent mode, I get phantom notifications that quit as soon as I shut off the silent mode. Irritating!
Works great, no problems calibrating!
Easy to use, and automatically appears when you turn sound off, however for long silent periods, the time set must be a half hour increment. Also the app makes a loud beep when sound comes back on. A reoccuring schedule option would be nice as well.
I never touched the ringer volume ever again. A must have!
Would it be possible to allow users to input their own finish time for silent mode instead of using 15 minute increments? I need longer than this app gives me sometimes.
It disables the notification LEDs, makes every WhatsApp message to beep (very annoying) and you can only disable the ringing up to 9h, but I need up to 12h. I regret I installed it.
It does, what it's supposed to do. For about 10 months now.
I travel a lot so.....dis one is a hit.
Works great

Great app. Problem with installation on android marshmallow. After install start phone in safe mode and clear cache. Until developers find a solution.
