That green-ish font and slightly bold characters are hard to distinguish... I can hardly read them.. Anything I can do?

K70%
by K####:

the app crashes when I try and view the alatortsev variation of alekhine, also, expansion of the databases would be great for a learner like myself, in general, good app

K70%
by K####:

Not a real tutorial. This app ports the same open source database as a dozen other apps of limited value. No lessons, no teaching method, no principles. Uninstalled.

K70%
by K####:

Best chess opening app ever.If you are starting to study chess openings for the first time in your life than this app is best for you.Very Innovative thinking.

O70%

An explanation which the ideas are behin every opening would be great. Also an update of the database would be great!!

G70%

If only the font related to the opening can be more clear

Mind bloying

M70%

It was that I want

K70%
by K####:

Good, but needs more depth.

F70%
by F####:

The perfect app for oppnings

Z70%
by Z####:

By far the best opening app, most comprehensive, easiest to use.

Z70%
by Z####:

Any opening app that ends before both sides castle is strictly for beginners, in which case they should study opening strategy, not memorize a series of moves.

Z70%
by Z####:

As a learner--who doesn't always "see" everything on the board--I greatly appreciate being able to see the multiple possibilities of each position as tested by masters. An absolutely brilliant use of available technology!

U70%

Please... allow us to write and save personal openings and lines. I have tons of chess books that I would like to use through my phone

Z70%

This gives you the opportunity to quickly go through the openings, you can search by name or diagtamatically get into the opening easily, covers all major openings and very handy interface, simply fast & neat. But the database should be bigger, also there should be some techniques to handle transpositions.it has got a quick saving option, unfortunately so far I have been taking screen shots. But as you emerge as a player it is insufficient, has to add more variation and depth. Then it would be the best.

F70%
by F####:

very good,we can know ,each and every variation with its name and code, indicating with arrows with names is very good ,this made easy to learn

Z70%
by Z####:

I love the way it works. My chess oponents will sometimes play an opening I'm unfamiliar with. Learning it usually requires digging through books. This makes it fast and easy. Suggestions: Add a paid version with more features. Add more depth. Add a database of Master games that can be pulled up from any position. When using the feature that pulls up an opening, it would be great if there were arrows below the board that allowed a user to step through the opening from the beginning, move by move.

V70%
by V####:

Typical the database ends as soon as the ECO code is established, aka 1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5 3.Nd2 and the opening is "known" (French, Tarrash variation). No additional moves are even possible. So, nice if you want to learn what name an opening has but useless to actually learn openings.

Z70%
by Z####:

Needs to inculde the posibility to study each variation of each opening deeper by selecting the variation name

Z70%
by Z####:

The idea is great but the depth should be increased. Moreover, description of the strategic ideas behind each opening is a good improvement to be considered.

Eh... What he Said below

Z70%

The variations are way too shallow. Really needs more lines deeper into the openings.

Z70%
by Z####:

Some openings don't have the correct move order and other variations are missing from some of the openings.

Z70%
by Z####:

Can learn more openings :)

Z70%
by Z####:

Very good illustrative openings shown. Would give 5 stars if it also talk about the basic rationale of each move. Still it did a good job giving a visual display of openings.

Z70%
by Z####:

Good for exploration. But not deep enough for depth analysis.

Z70%
by Z####:

A very good study tool for beginners looking to up their opening game. Useful for more experienced players who need to brush up as well.

V70%

It's apparently the most interactive way to learn the openings. Love it.

For beginners ok not for professionals

T70%

Very useful and unique. It would be perfect if it had an engine to analyze the position and play from the conclusion of the line. But terrific nonetheless. (Might be nice to be able to change font color.)
