Like all apps it has its issue. Overall not too bad considering it is a one stop shop for lighting control, camera viewing, garage door opening, and outlet management. However I do wish there was a way to tell if a light is on or off.
Crashes when you try to add hub. Numerous reports that this problem has existed for months. Still haven't fixed it as of October 7th wonder if they will? Do they even read this?
Good hardware but I am not sure the app developer knows what she is doing. Too many bugs with the app, not sure where to start. I am running Google pixel, which is reference platform. Looking to dump hardware and move to different vendor because of these app issues.
Without push notifications working, it's a complete garbage. A problem they know about but don't fix.

Crash always when I try to add a new hub. After over 10 try to set the app I am returning the alarm system back to the store. This is just a big waste of money
Returning the alarm to the store, it is useless with an app that crashes during setup. Great idea but poorly implemented.
App crashes every time I try to set up the home panel. Using a Note3.
Why does it take 5-6 times closing and reopening this app before it starts functioning? Half the time it says the camera failed as well. I didn't spend all this money for a decoration!!

Push Notifications bug solved, Uninstall and install again fixed it.
After update the new patch the application not notify on EMUI 5.0 please fix patch.

Well you get what you paid for. It is a cheap system and it generally works ok. There is virtually no support other than some PDFs and Google the web. Hope the company would at least consider hosting a support forum so users can contribute what they have learned for others to benefit. the basic functions of the app and the system worked well enough to worth the purchase. Just don't expect all the bells and whistles or any advanced features. With the money saved, you can arm all your doors and windows!
The system itself is OK, easy to connect, install and monitor; however, the app require some improvements. The first issue that requires attention is the notification that keeps messing with the system volume, turns it to vibrate or increases it.
App is completely non functional. I go to initialize hub on a brand new setup and it crashes every time after clicking continue. It does this on 2 Galaxy s5 neo phones with latest android update. I also tried re-starting the phone and changing the information in the fields. No customer service on weekends, just leave a message. Terrible first experience. I will give them a chance to fix it if it's quick but a hard crash on 2 devices every time tells me there is a major bug here.
I would never trust my safety to this. Stay far away from this alarm system and app. This app has severe bugs that have not been addressed for a long time and is an example of poorly implemented, immature home automation technology. Lacking extra convenience features, it's basically a remote that partially works. The current version of the app requires permissions for phone microphone, camera, storage, location, and others that don't seem to have valid purpose and are never explained. The previous version of the app indicated false alarms after enabling the alarm system. The new version does not display the status of the alarm system correctly. For example, the system will arm, but the app will indicate that it is disarmed, making it hard to disarm the alarm. The best feature may be IFTTT. If you can get IFTTT working with the sensors, you might be able to avoid using the app to some degree. I'm hoping for improvements, but at this stage, I can't recommend the app.
Really disappointed .. why there is " no if " for camera to start recording automatically
So far useless as I can't add the hub. It says invalid parameter. I could add it on one Nexus 4 but not Galaxy S5 and S6. Te other Nexus 4 didn't work either.
How to add IMEDIATE ALARM WHEN AWAY?
The lastest update is garbage. I updated this app because thr push notifications stopped working. Behold my surprise when it did not fix the problem, it actually caused the app to forget my hub and my setup!!! Now it won't recognize my hub password. Please fix this, I didn't spend hundred of dollars to have it malfunction at every update. Very frustrating.
How do I get my Hub working again. As commented below when I added update my Hub stopped working. My password doesn't work and when I try to add new up or existing hub or state forgot password the app just stops working. Security is paramount and I can't go without it. Please fix or advise how to asap!!
It's OK..Very basic app. The load time is pretty slow. I have to wait at my front door for the app to load to turn off the alarm before I can go in my house. Kind of annoying. I wish the app had landscape mode too for my tablet mounted on my fridge. It sucks that it's only designed for phones. Please make this happen Skylink.
The app is showing incorrect status of the garage door. Works great most of the time. Occasionally I run into glitches where I don't know if my door is up, down, or in the middle. This makes it very dificult to rely on the app.
I upgraded my apps and found that it forgot my hub. At first I could not add it and will just give me "access denied". I then used my skylinknet password instead of the hub password and it works. Hope this helps.
App worked fine for the first month. Then I stopped receiving notifications. I uninstalled the app, reinstalled it, and when I went to sign in it said "access denied". Please fix
I like it but you need to update the app to make sure its working and many yime shows the garage door is open when its not. also you can't choose a notification sound only for this app, it uses the device notification sound so you need to check your device to see if its the skylink or not. Also itvonly shows the date a the is showing on half even though i have a 5.7 inch screen device, useless. Fix it please
The app is pretty clunky and the wording doesn't even match the iOS app "system alarmed home" should actually say "system armed home". A lot of the prompts and notification messages are in broken English which leads me to believe that the app was not produced within the US/Canada or it was done by someone with kindergarten literacy levels. The app does what it says I guess, but if Skylink really want to be a competitor in this market, they need to pick up their game.
Tried to reinstall app because was I no longer getting push notifications. Now it doesn't recognize the hub and when I try to add the hub the app crashes Had high hopes for this system but have had it for a few months now and have had constant problems with the app.
The app is great most of the time when it works. I have onr major issue. The garage door sensor is completely unreliable... it works 70% of the time which is not acceptable. Every once and a while it tells me the garage is in the open state....so i drive all the way home from work only to find out its closed!! Yes, i dis refresh the main page multiple times and waited over 30min to check up on it at home. I fized it by opening and closing it again. The aensor is fairly close to the hub. Second issue: for some weird reason i receive double or triple the amount of notifications... this happens 10% of the time. 3rd issue: under the event log im unable to see the time column because my phone screen is too narrow. It would be nice if we could scroll from ledt to right.
Garbage! You go with the settings of the hub to the last step when you get the message "unfortunately the app stopped working" when you have to start over!
Cannot sign in to create an accoount. Invalid parameters keeps appearing. Frustrated. This unit is going back to the store.

Horrible app and support. Same issues as most people, could not initialize the hub, app kept crashing. Installed, reinstalled same issue. Contacted support, their advice was to clear the cache for the app, which I did, same issues. They then advised to return the product to them. The problem is not with the product, IT IS WITH THIS APP. I returned the product for a full refund anyways.
