Fitness Buddy : 1700 Exercises for Android
Noticed a bug with workout tracker - swiping between exercises (ie when doing a circuit) the weights and sets get copied over from the other workout. This is just a visual glitch as the info is still there but it makes it tough to track a workout, please fix! Definitely one of the best fitness apps. Makes it very convenient to create and track my own workouts. Would be 5 stars if videos played in-app and were downloaded with the initial install.
Love this app. Easily best I've tried for weights. That good it warranted premium.. but disappointingly premium doesn't require use of weights or even the gym! So would waste gym subscription... Granted they did refund and had excellent customer services but that wasn't what I was looking for slash expecting.. Either way credit where credits due the best FREE gym app out there
APP is good, lots of exercises. I m puting one star because too much bugs on the PAYING version. Eg: you do one exercice, save and 10 sec later the app tells you that you ve done another ecercise. Therefore Impossible to follow a routine
Great for exercise but that's it. It should incorporate food for the price. First you by the app 2.99 then you have a monthly payment which is like 4.99 or 5.99. The information that's included is great. **Update** this app downloaded all the videos and 400+ 3 second voice tracks to my library. Why won't my music continue playing after each segment? It's really annoying. Save your money. Why is it when I finish the workout it doesn't register? Great I bought the app and subscribed for a broken app.
I already paid for the app now in the new update you keep getting asked to purchase premium. I already paid for the app why should i give you more money. This tells me there are other better apps out there and you arent making enough money because of competition. So in that case i will probably go pay for your competitors rather than you.
Fitness Buddy hasn't been updated since 2015, and it shows. The app is buggy, cumbersome, prone to crashes (it crashes every time for me when I tried linking it to Google Fit), and overall provides a poor experience. I highly recommend the app Progression as a superior alternative.
Paid for pro version. It is just average library of exercises and recorder with not pleasant ui if you want to do something quick during workout. Body measurement is ok but does not justify the cost. Paid programs are not for me. No additional features such as proper analysis in pro. I am very disappointed, going back to FitNotes.
Bugs bugs bugs. I hate to see nice apps go bad. Tried tracking exercises not in linear order. The moving between them freaked the app up. History got mixed up between exercises and days. Come on, that's basic.
This is a must have workout app!! Saves all your workouts and shows you the proper way to lift. I also use it when I train clients and keep track of there daily workout routines. Only thing I don't like, is I already bought the app... So why should I have to pay for a premium.. That's why I paid for the upgrade version over a year ago!!!! Smh
Helps to keep me from getting bored with the same routine. The videos are very helpful and I really like how I can find activities by muscle and then specify even further based on the type of equipment I want to use. Makes the app useful both in the gym as well as when I'm at home with a smaller set of resources.
An incredible amount of exercises, and the ability to create your own workout plans. The built-in plans could be altered a little bit. For example, on biceps and triceps day, they made it to where you complete all of the bicep workouts before moving on to triceps. I like to alternate muscle workouts to prevent burnout.

I absolutely love this app. Going to the gym at a big university can be intimidating when you don't have a plan in mind. This app gives you the ability to walk in and work out with confidence and efficiency. Thank you for developing a program that will help those of us stay healthy who might not know all of the in's and out's of every workout move or machine.
Great App! Something for all levels. Helps keep me motivated and looking forward to the next workout. I had been away from exercising for a while, and I didn't know where to start. This app helped me to begin again and to get into a routine. I highly recommend the full version.
App freezing! No mater what i go into it freezes and i have to shut my phone off to get out of it! Reported numerous times, no reply and still not working! Great to set work outs on each body part when it wants to work!
I keep waiting to find something to like about this app. But it won't stop pestering me to rate it. It doesn't have the weight machines I use in it. There are better strength and cardio tracking apps (e.g. Strength, Sronglifts, and Google Fit) available. And did I mention that it won't stop pestering me to rate it?
Best app so far, totally worth to pay for. I did not try the premium package, there is plenty of pre made workout and with such a large database of exercises it is really easy to make new one yourself. Good job guys, love it.
Most disappointing part is that its hard see your progress in this app. Also it always defaults to dates way back so you have to pay close attention as you enter what you lifted and what day for every single workout.
The play back keeps freezing in the middle of the work out so i have to skip an exercise or do whatever reps i want. Also the demonstrations are blacked out so I do not get to see the sample. I have to see the first rep to know what i should be doing
Able to log all my info, Weights, reps, and sets. Some exercises still arent in the pro version, i.e Roman Crunches or Roman Chair Twists. More im sure but i cant recall much off hand till day i do em. But over all A++!!
This app crashes frequently. If it crashes during a workout, it loses your current workout stats. It's a shame the developers don't really care about fixing these bugs. They have a great list of exercises and features, but what's the point if you can't depend on it to work. I would not pay more than a dollar for this.
Good exercise database, takes some digging around sometimes. Would like the ability to do supersets/tri sets without jumping in and out of exercises for each set, and the ability to see your estimated 1-10 rep weight.
I have tried updating my workout routine on the tablet and it always brings up an error message whilst trying to update. This app is useless on any device you use so it needs an urgent update.
The basic app is pretty good. And the premium cost is reasonable. But it is far too hard to keep it working. Right now for the third time I am unable to access my premium account... Despite having paid for it.
I like the built-in routines as well as the ability to custom workouts. One thing I have trouble with is deleting an entry if I mistakenly record a wrong number. Most apps allow you to swipe to delete. This one does not. Other than that, it is an excellent app.
App would be better if date would default to current day (versus last day you inputted data). Also would be nice if distance allowed for two decimal spaces (versus rounding to the nearest tenth. Example putting in .76 and it displaying .80). Makes it more difficult to track improvements if .76 and .84 both show as .80.
Have the Xperia Z3 and the app runs flawlessly on it, pity the phone doesn't run as flawlessly. I've had this app over 4yrs, age bug
Looks like a good app. I use a web based service and was looking forward to moving to an app right on the phone. I like many users can't even open the thing. Every time I try to create and account it crashes. Have emailed developer with details but have not heard back yet. Given that I cant even get in to the app to make an account hopefully they fix this soon as I can't imagine this is good for their subscription revenue.
Is this app ever updated?? App freezes with the keyboard or scroll wheel for time open and I can't go to the next exercise without exiting my exercise. If screen is turned off on certain screens, that screen will remain even when on another page. Created workouts are not easy to get to. Once a workout has been excited you can go back into it. All around just a bad app
All the good stuff you would expect in a fitness app to track your progress. Downside is the cumbersome interface and that the date is always the last entry date rather than today's date. This is a major pain and I would not recommend unless they fix this issue with the date.
Useless sync function does nothing. Always thought I was uploading data to cloud (I always manually synced).. Formatted phone, re-sync and wallah.. Nothing there. Thought this was fixed by now, but no.. Also crashes every time I open it for first time in the day (second time I open it, works fine)
I use this app but it doesn't have a great interface and won't store your info or workouts when you get a new device. I would not recommend it to a friend. I would also hope that there would be updates to fix all the bugs and forced closes, but there hasn't been one since Feb.
This app is great but you need time to enter your workout plans so don't expect a quick jump into app. Would like two major updates: 1) ability to add workouts while IN a workout plan (custom plans), and 2) ability to create a workout name that isn't on the list. Example: lying leg curls.
Paid for the upgrade, can't use it. Trying to do a Premium Program, tell it that I want to "Do This Workout". Downloads "Initial Assets" and tells me that "This only happens once". Download completes after 5 minutes on wifi, so I tap "Do this workout", downloads initial assets, only does this once. Download completes after 5 minutes on wifi. Tap "Do this workout", downloads initial assets, only needs to do this once even though it's now downloading for the third time. Give up, kill the app and uninstall. Wish there was a way to get my money back. This is my second try attempting to use this app. After 6 months and several updates I would have hoped they fixed the bugs. Apparently that was wishful thinking. Lesson learned, won't be using this crap again.
Tried using this a few times but, at least on tablet, this app was more double than it was worth. Screens for exercise plans were not laid out well (button to view example workouts was too small compared to the available screen space)(timer could have been much easier to use (should have been one click, drag, & release movement)). Fields for body weight exercises has to be filled in on each and every one (even though they are obviously all be the same value). Needs elegant interface before getting my $
Still showing completely wrong info as I add exercises. Just crashes every time i try to use it. Won't sync between phone and tablet. BASIC FAIL! Now can't change the name of custom workout, keeps reverting back to as it was
If anything goes wrong you are on your own. Bought the App and the premium package but app didn't give me access to premium and still asks me to subscribe to the premium side of it. that was $30 down the drain. I sent 2 email and 10 days gone by and not a word they don't even have a phone number listed on the website. Scam Alert.
It's a very good and detailed app, but I think it's unfair for me to have to pay again because of a update. You should reward your customers that have paid for this app along time ago.
I really enjoyed this app on the iphone, but the android version has a strange glitch. I will enter my weights for a set, move onto another exercise, and when I come back to original exercise it displays the information for the wrong exercise. For example, I'll do 20 sit ups, then do 10 pull ups, when I go back to sit ups it says I did 12 sit ups with 20lb weights...

Good exercises BUT despite paying for the app, they also want to charge you for premium...So WTF did I even buy this app for? Not just that though. Theres no way to stop the animations. So the only way to read the instructions is to go into the info..which then you can't see the pictures. The UI is so outdated it looks like it's from the iPhone 3. I wouldn't ever buy this app if I could go back in history. Id rather just Google the exercise for free
