SkyCaddie Mobile Golf GPS

Have it with my golf Linxgt. App seems to work well for distances but the scoring frustrates me to no end. I have the tags and I am meticulous about logging my shots but the scores never match. I can't figure out how to track putts either. It always defaults to 2 putts unless I go in and track it manually. I have assigned a tag for my putter but it does not log. I have reassigned it with other tags but still does not log. One of the main reasons I got the watch was for the tracking and after every round it just makes me think I should of bought gamegolf.

I purchase the premium addition and the GPS does not automatically push the hole forward once complete. You have to manually move adjust which hole you are playing. I've had at least 10 emails back and forth with SkyCaddie and they have no idea on how to get this fixed. Very disappointing!

Using the free 14 day premium trial for the first time today. Spent quite a bit of time learning how to use the app (not very intuitive) and meticulously tracking my shots/clubs...and the app froze up numerous times when "loading to the cloud". 2 times it froze and ended the round so i had to start all over. Another time it froze and didnt record my club and when i went back to record the club, the app recorded it twice off the tee. I could not figure out how to remove one of the errant trackings. This happened a few times. Extremely frustrating. I also dont like that we cannot go back into a scorecard and edit...especially since the app froze and recorded incomplete scores! Also, when hitting the back button on the android version, the app wants to quit the round. Could not figure out how to mark where the actual pin was on each green...so yardages were skewed while tracking shots. I really would love to buy the app, but it just doesnt work well!! Disappointed.

Absolutely waste of time. I have an account but I can't even sign in to use it. Keeps telling me that username and password are wrong. Going elsewhere unless this can be rectified

The app works great! I have a Galaxy Note 8 so the screen is huge... very easy to use, pinch in or out to check distances on bunkers, hazards etc...scorecard is a breeze to use and auto advances to next hole AFTER you enter your score and press save...it was a joy to use..each hole is in crystal clear HD so everything is vivid to view... try it you'll love it

Excellent app, well worth it's subscription fee. Had a small issue that was resolved quickly and efficiently, great customer service. One feature I would like to see added at some stage is the ability to disable the screen lock when in use.

Will not recognize my device. Long time customer and always have issues syncing.

Got the app because I have the link gt watch and club sensors. The app is slow, unintuitive, and trying to use it for scoring and tracking is almost worthless. It will only start on hole 1 or will continue to bug you until you stop the app or finish your round. This app has potential but has a long way to go.

I am in love with Skycaddie Mobile view of the course the only problem I am having with the program, it does not advance to the next Hole.

Best GPS system I've used without a doubt. I am a 3-8 and this puts me in control of the course and not the other way around.

App never worked and there is no one to contact. Skygolf would not help either.

Works fine for me. Have to manually move forward on each hole, but yardage works fine.

No satellite view! Free apps do this.

Decent app. But my course I usually play changed hold order last year, and this app did not. Pretty much unusable.

The Gametracker 2 accuracy of the GPS and data collection are great. Would like to see more in round edit capability. It would be nice to be able to add penalty shots in round and also correct past holes scoring. The program will lock out previous holes and sometimes the data doesn't pull accurately from the gametracker device. Overall I'm very happy with the product.

The free version does not have the maps that are shown as being examples of the screen during use. You have to pay for them. OK, yes it eventually says that in the detailed hidden description, but the screenshots are from the paid for version. There isn't even a trial. You ask for my email, but What's to discuss? You do not even show a screenshot from the free version as downloaded. The FIFTH screenshot is the closest, but the free version does not have distance to green. Even to find that out, I had to register for an account. Sorry but I do not feel that your description is fair. Further investigation (via the web site) shows not in-app purchases, but that you need a $29.95 annual subscription. Please don't contact me unless you have updated the listing to show what is available for free, noted on the screenshots of the holes that these are for the paid for app only, and stated PROMINENTLY what "In-app purchases" actually means.

Totally unusable app crashes several times during rounds shot tracking is farcical losing shots; moving shots.to different holes and changes the score for played holes later on in the round. There are more reliable app out there steer clear of this one.

A bit deceiving, read full description. Free version looks to be a GPS app but really only scorecard app. Premium version unlocks most of the features shown. The final screen shot should first and a point out that is the focus of the free app. Caught my interest due to the SkyCaddie name. Very disappointing

Wow they sucker you to download the app by showing you pictures of paid app. Only making their name worse. I know it's free but show me before I make an effort.

Have played with this app 3 times now. Once as trail version and twice after purchase. First two times the gps function was very unreliable​ . I could not get the mark ball function to work after I purchased, but I figured out it was operator error. Third game started out fine. GPS was working and scoring/distance per shot using club selection function was working as well. Around the 9th hole GPS started messing up. On the 12th hole it quit working altogether. I exited the app and restarted figuring it would allow me to continue, but no had to start a new round. GPS and auto scoring would not work at all. Totally fed up. I am using version 1.6 on a Motorola turbo 2.

Worth the comparably small cost for almost all the functionality of a bespoke device minus the Intelligreen system. If your local course allows it, why not utilise the expensive mini computer you already have in your pocket? Only issue I found is sometimes my location doesn't/is slow to update when approaching my second shot. This can be remedied by an app restart and may be down to cloud cover as I have been playing in inclement conditions in Wales. It can be frustrating when in a competition however and a delay to resolve this and obtain yardage is not appropriate.

Really like this app but functions don't work unless you have Internet connection. Offline mode desperately needed!

This app does drain your battery - would love to see a mini compass on hole view would help with wind direction !! 24/3/17 I have now added the GT2 game tag system which could do with a bit more instructions on how to use - as in when to swipe a tag when on the green - the gps boost seems extremely accurate and certainly aid battery life on your smartphone !!

Had an issue with the renewal but quickly sorted after contact via review. All good now and this is the best golf gps available!

I tried the 14 day trial and unfortunately it hasn't worked as well as expected. The shot tracker seems to stop working after 3 or 4 holes, thereby meaning my after round analysis of distances cannot be looked at. It's also slow to save shots when at the ball and does not record them straightaway, sometimes only recognising a save after you've walked away from the ball.

You need the highest upgrade to use it

Its a good app I had one of the sky caddie devices but was getting out of date so tried out the mobile app and it was showing the same yardages as my sky caddie device so I started using the mobile app and works like a charm and I like how you can move around the target marker so if you want to layup you can get a good idea how far to hit it

I am going on my second season using the Skycaddie app. The accuracy of the app is very good. It has had every course I play mapped and ready for use. When I first installed the app and activated premium service everything went very well. This year after my renewal I was unable to upgrade from basic to premium because of an error. I sent an email to the developer and they (Nathan) responded very promptly to let me know they were working on a solution and it was fixed the next morning! Highly recommend

Thought it would be a comparable app to what I've been using. Waste of money. No option to report sand saves, bunker strokes, or unfortunately, the occasional out of bounds shots. All should have been available to report on scorecard. Now to get a refund from the play store!

This app in, theory should be awesome. However , I didn't make it through a round with Samsung note 4. Waste of money. Don't recomended.

Continues to quit working in middle of round. Can't find distance. Wasted my money going back to golflogix

Drains battery

I'm a Gametracker2 user with the app and it has yet to work properly. Random times during rounds it deletes all the data. Customer service has told me this is a know issue that should fix with an update. Still had yet to be fixed. $250 for a product that Skygolf customer service will tell you has a know flaw of deleting data. Hard to believe they can justify selling a data collecting product that can't keep the data.

App crashes after last update. Works for 3 holes then tells me to restart or reinstall. Please fix.

Getting worse

The distances for me are very accurate. Unfortunately the application can't get through an entire round without crashing. If my phone locks it crashes. If I switch to another app it crashes. Also, I lost all of the info from my last score. Just disappeared.

Distances are not accurate even with good service. Playing courses in Raleigh, NC area
