Translate Offline: 8 languages

Trying to use the app on holiday - has good features and seems ok except I cannot get the text to voice to work - like a previous reviewer I am also using a samsung galaxy s5.

I would definitely recommend the full version of this app for anyone travelling overseas. I have found their backup service very fast and useful. I still give it five stars. It can convert speech (for other languages you need to add them in settings), scan a picture and convert it to text (like all ocr software, it's best with a high contrast image) and can reverse the languages so you can allow the other person to speak in their native tongue just after your text has been spoken to them. All this for about four dollars Australian! Well worth it. Try the free version first and you'll soon buy it.

I paid for the full version. Some of the Spanish translations are incorrect so Im unsure about how trustworthy or worthwhile it is. Pretty poor for what you pay. It works offline at least. Months later and a few updates and still no better dont waste your money

I speak English and decent French. I travel the world and this is a dependable application. I use it as my voice and I even have people write out their replies. It is a bit slow but in places with no internet this is priceless! Best less than five buck I ever spent

Amazing that it manages what it does OFFLINE. Of course it is not perfect. But it translates full sentences!

Just looked like something I've always wanted, paid for it and every time I go to use it , it comes up with a message say unfortunately skycode has stopped working very disappointed.

I have just got back from Europe. This said it did exactly what I was looking for, however I did not find this app at all useful. Most times the 'translation' is the same as the original.

The Spanish translation is from Spain it does not work in Mexico or Latin America

I paid for this app over a year and a half ago it still will not download correctly this is the third or fourth device i have tried to download it on it goes into some sort of download loop just keeps downloading and won't access the download and then just started downloading again. This is a arrogant developer attitude he had been told hundreds times and does not care please just refund my money with out a hassle and i can at least have one positive thing to say but I will never waste another minute again

It's a great app but can you do something about the text to speech in the translated segment. The input part works perfectly.

Bought full ver. Tried the phrase ' I do not understand English' and it translated ' comprendo' in Italian. Not a very good translator for one of the most common phrases used.

Was driving around cuba and this app made it much easier. Best to know a little spanish but this app helps if you are stuck. This year the updates allow voice recognition and character recognition to work offline too. Works really well. Good work dev team.

Tech helped install the offline voice. I'll test once I head back for accuracy.

The app is great & THANK YOU for adding Chinese however am new in Chinese & don't know much of Chinese character's which makes it impossible to read the English to Chinese translation without Pinyin ???????????????? Please add PINYIN to Chinese transnlations. Other than that: the app has help led me a great deal in practicing Italian & German ????????

I have a Blackberry Priv running Android version 6.0.1 and downloading and installation of this program couldn't have been simpler and was flawless. Opening it with one click revealed an intuitively friendly screen. Clicking on each flag (I bought the full 7-1 software version) in their corresponding half screen allowed me to select the two languages I wanted - Italian and English. Clicking on the microphone prompted me to begin speaking in English. Transcription was phenomenally accurate and far beyond

I paid for the app. But i dont like that the app force it self each time i copy any info. This is a negative privacy issue !! I cant find any settings to stop or change that. Please add that choice to users !! I will give 5 star as soon as an update provided

I have ver.2.35 and the app takes up 12.5MB on your phone's internal storage. But it also places a folder that is 165MB on your phone for the translations. It, too, is in your phone's internal storage. There is an option to move it to the SD card, but it did not work on my phone. The app is useful for looking up or translating individual words and the pronunciations are amazingly good. You can speak it into the phone, and it will speak back the translated word. Neat. However, due to the size of the app and files, I cannot advocate getting this seven language app unless you really need all languages and have a lot of phone memory. I wish I had bought a single language version instead.

Paid for this app, but with the new changes it doesn't work anymore. In fact, the free version is better. Do I get a refund??

Gives many choices but fails to explain the suttle differences in usage.

well i am happy to note that this is one of the few app developers who has responded back and have suggested solution to my problem.

But keeps asking me to install and pay for full version which I have already done...very annoying.

Worked well when in states, when got to Italy it didn't work. It was supposed to be able to be used offline. Don't waste your money on this app.

Great. You don't have to be online to use it. Some annoying nonsensical translations. Very annoying update to full version add on free version. Just bought full version.

Crap app... Don't bother... The translations make no sense. An absolute waste of time and money. Silly me for purchasing it. !
