WRVO Public Media App for Android
Local NPR news and radio, what's not to love?
The easiest way to listen to NPR.
It's great

Love to be able to listen to my local station, whenever I have internet access. I keep it even with NPROne app, so I can still listen to a more "live" broadcast. I do have issues with crashing, though. And the app banner persist on notification screen after I've closed the app. Only a reboot seems to remove it. I have a moto g4 on republic wireless.
The app worked before but since upgrading my Nexus 6P to 7.0 the audio plays for 5-10 minutes at a time and then shuts off until I open it up and push play again.
Haven't used the app in 3 weeks, but it has somehow used more data than any other app on my phone. There's no excuse for this nonsense. Uninstalling.
Its not on more than 10 minutes. I have to keep restarting. I have reported it every time it crashes but does no good.
I travel extensively and having WRVO with me is a treat. Over several years I have found it reliable and responsive.
All the NPR, BBC, PRX AND old time radio at night. Please don't ever change!!!
I've grown accustomed to WRVO's lineup and station personnel. Now I get to take them wherever there is wifi.
Consistently saves my sanity by keeping me in touch with home while I'm on the road.
Love PBS in Syracuse NY and Rochester NY and this is the superior app.
My favorite station in CNY.
Works!
great app only really use it to steam npr. works well for that.
Rocks!
I love this app
Drives me crazy how it cuts in and out but love not missing my favorite shows, especially Saturday.
Can be spotty reception but overall I rely on it for all my fave public radio shows.
Fast forward is poor due to bad buffering
I am not very tec oriented. But, I can use this app to listen to my favorite radio spots.
Great station but the app has a few issues
I like using my local station's app, but it's not always easy to find program info, or recordings of short filler pieces.
Glitchy but also the app I use the most. So even the glitchiness is worth it for easy access to my local NPR.
I use this app all the time recent updates seem to have fixed much of the glitchy nature of the app
WRVO's app gives me 24/7 access to all my favorite programs on demand no matter where I am in the country. Their tech guy has helped me when any issues with the app come up. Thanks from North Carolina, WRVO! I'm becoming a member to help support you. Also sending friends!!
You're killing me wrvo. The app works good for it's major features but almost every day I start it up and it crashes, I send bug report, then open it again and it works. Then, I stop it or shut the app down when I'm done and it hangs in my notifications with the pause button. The app has done the same thing for many versions, and on two different phones. Fix the stupid issues so your app can shine.
Since I've moved away from CNY its nice to be able to continue to listen to my public radio station.
No matter what device I've tried it on or what version of this app I've tried, the WRVO app consistently force closes itself for no reason, at all.
I love being able to listen to the morning news as I get ready for work. I just carry my phone from room to room.
It is unstable but works for the most part. TuneIn radio works better with the streaming.
FM public radio streaming
Much improved, better organized than before.
Love WRVO!
Easy to use.
Easy to use
Good App Good Station!!!
Love this app. Use it every day. The search engine for finding past stories could be easier and more efficient.

Why in the world would this simple app need access to so much on my device? "Phone number" really? I'll find another app, thanks.
