NCPR Public Radio App for Android
Easy to use. Streams well. The news feature is good.
I like the quick access to the podcasts.
App
This is one if my top apps, right up there with my messaging app, FB, and email. I can't actually think of how it could be better.
NCPR is my favorite radio station but if I had to try to pull in the over-the-air signal, I wouldn't be able to pull it in as my town is in a bit of a dead zone.
Good, except when using Bluetooth link, the broadcast shuts down suddenly after anywhere from 2-8 minutes. Frustrating.
Lived in Potsdam for 7 years. Now that I've relocated to Rochester, i was less than impressed with our local station. So happy i can continue to have the North Country in my home and on my way to work!
Glad I can travel without leaving NCPR at home. How many other stations report lost goats, horses and dogs?
Control in the notifications doesn't dismiss and closing the app leaves the notification open.
Hey this gets me public radio
I use this in my office in the morning.
Works great most of the time. Occasionally freezes and need to restart my Galaxy before it will work again. All in all love having it!
A reliable Web streaming app for a great NPR station
The interface is busy, cluttered. It's good to have easy access to local content, but NPR programs have much better app access, like WNYC.
The quick bar that's accessible from the status bar needs some work. Sometimes it stays after closing the app, and you have to play around to get it to go away... Other than that, works great
Streams stop playing after 20 minutes or so, the cant be restarted without a phone reboot.
This app is user friendly.
Consistently stops working, then ibhave to back out and try again. Sometimes it will start working and sometimes not.
Public Radio for the North Country is easy to use, nice for portable listening.
works pleasantly.....
NCPR adds incredibly-important value, and the app is well-organized and easy to navigate.
Love being able to tune in and hear Todd and Martha when I'm on the west coast!
Let's me stay connected to the North Country when I'm home. Love the 8 o'clock hour weekdays!
... the regular signal, it's a good thing to have, quite speedy (when my phone can find a cell tower), and a pleasant alternative to times when a radio is unavailable. Oh, good options too. Thanks to all concerned.
The app works great, but I dislike the recent update. I would prefer one big play button right in the middle of the screen. The latest update fixed the white on white issue in the notification bar, but now the notification bar doesn't go away when you close the app and you can't swipe it away. You have to relaunch the app and close it the delete the notification bar. Annoying.
This app is maddening. Works great and then for no apparent reason will quit and will not work again unless you reinstall......Update. As of Feb 15 they appear to have fixed the problem. Thanks NCPR,
Im from Albany and love NCPR. Now I can listen to it whenever or wherever I want. Much better than WAMC and the garbage Alan Chartock produces.. Thanks NCPR for a great app and programming, keep up the good work!
I listen to NCPR over in VT. App is great for listening to "podcast of the week" in the Programs tab. Obviously streaming on-line as well. Nicely laid out. Hope VPR develops somthing as good as this for android users. Thanks NCPR... I'll contribute a few bucks during your next fund drive.
I've been waiting for this - very happy to finally see it up and running! Very pleased with the interface, nicely done!
Thank you NCPR

Cannot create login, nor skip the login like the application tells you to do.
