KPCC Radio

KPCC is always a 5-star station with the best content, but the newest update won't quit, and you have to go to settings to force quit. Every bug you fix seems to create a new one.

Needs to stay closed when you exit the app. Also needs a close function from the notification pull down on android. If it had the control functionality of Pandora it's be fine.

Streams don't show progress, crashes often and streams stop randomly.

Love the station, hate the app.

Update: I'm still getting crashes and Open App failures. I have donated mainly to insure this app would get proper funding, since you are not trying to fix this app i will have to end my subscription KPCC. - Good Day!

I'm an app developer and I'll volunteer to rewrite this thing for you. It should be a simple app but doesn't do basic things well. Audio stream keeps dying. Alarm doesn't go off. Need to force stop app to get the notification to disappear.

Most recent update iscomplete failure. It crashes before it loads. You need to get new people on your Android app. It is once again crashing before it opens.

It keeps failing every other day.

Adequate, but no landscape option on my tablet.

KPCC Live Stream just quit working via this app on my Samsung Galaxy S4 about a month ago. I had always listened to their Live Stream previously on my phone with no problems. (And I can still listen to the Live Stream on my desktop no problem.) But all of a sudden one day about a month ago when I clicked the Live Stream on their app on my Galaxy S4, I only got the audio of their short, canned pre-Live Stream ad, but a pop-up box then comes up that says "Unfortunately, KPCC Radio has stopped." And then nothing. Silence. There's a "Report" button which I always click and send the Feedback, but their Live Stream has never come in since. Samsung says it's not the phone, that the problem must be with the app. I emailed KPCC station directly two weeks ago and only received an auto-response that said "We will forward your message to the appropriate department." Never heard back from them at all. And the Live Stream still doesn't work. One star.

App stopped working recently. Same as others have describe. Opens, plays add while displaying 'App is currently not working' message and then does nothing at all. 3 Stars for KPCC. Zero for the current state of the app. Otherwise it's an easy 5 stars. Love you guys over there. Thanks for all the great news and culture.

KPCC is a great station, it's a shame the Android app has been a consistent disappointment. The latest update somehow made things even worse. Now, in addition to the previous streaming start/stop inconsistencies (requiring frequent app relaunches to resume), the stream had now begun to skip back like a broken record. Also, the notification icon and banner are stuck and cannot be dismissed even when closing the app! The previous version was merely inconvenient, while this new version is close to unusable. Edit for new release: Always hopeful when an update is released, always disappointed. Latest version still has issues with paused audio resuming (specifically after watching an Instagram video). Also still has cases where notification cannot be dismissed without force quitting the app.

While I love being able to listen to KPCC, there are a few glitches with the app drive me insane. Sometimes I'm not able to completely close out of the app. I have to robot my phone to get it to go away. And now if I use my voice to text feature while I have the radio paused it automatically starts back up, playing over me trying to use my voice to text feature. Drives me batty.

On my phone, this app won't shut down! In order for me to stop the streaming, I have to reboot my phone. I'm only interested in a few of the programs KPCC offers. It also drains my battery to almost nothing in a very short amount of time.

Tried for the second time to use this app, but it just doesn't work well. This time I couldn't get it to turn off no matter what I did so I had to uninstall. Back to Tune In Radio app...

There's no way to exit. Sometimes it just plays on its own.

Would love this app if I could download a segment so that I could listen to it offline.

Back to borked. Crashes on open on all my devices. Was bad a few months ago. Then they reverted to an old version and it worked. Now worse than ever. Recommend the App Guy to stop monkeying with the knobs and dials and leave it alone on whatever the most stable version.

I installed the KPCC app on my Android, but now the broadcast icon is always on the top right of my home screen, and the dropdown shows "KPCC Live" and then "Q". I click on that and there is NO place where I can stop the application from running. I donate regularly to KPCC, so would really like to be able to listen on my cell phone, but I want to be able to stop it from running like the other 50+ apps on my phone. I'm uninstalling it. Too bad.

The present version crashes upon opening, everytime- so I can't give a very full review. Come on guys! Been so much trouble with this app and I use it everyday. I'll be ready when it works again. Hopefully soon.

Crashes when you open the app. Great station not so great app. Crashes a lot and is just wonky. Little sad IMHO

This app has always been unstable, now it crashes upon loading. I've un-installed and downloaded again, still crashing. Very frustrating.

So many errors with this app. If paused, will begin playing when you make a call, or after a certain amount of time paused will just begin playing again. Stream errors now occur when trying to listen to past segments, so most of KPCC's content is unplayable.

the previous version would repeat broadcasts every minute.. i was so happy when that was fixed and was working fine on Samsung g6.. now cannot open it despite many re-installs

Great content...terrible app. Crashes consistently, you can't backtrack to specific times in the program, once you leave the app screen you cant return to the program without restarting it all

Even though I'm a paying member I'm not getting my pledge free stream. I also tried to give this same feedback through the app itself but after I'd entered all my information I found that there's no submit button on the feedback page... What the heck?

Love KPCC but the app needs a little TLC. Crashes often, when I pause it, it'll start to play on its own.

This app, always problematic, crashes whenever I attempt to load it. It should be removed until it has been fixed.

Crashes often, likes to randomly start playing during phone calls or using voice to text. When disconnect from Bluetooth it keeps playing on phone speaker.

This app used to run fine, but now it crashes on startup. Reinstalling didn't help.
