New update: Still garbage. This app used to be functionally better and visually appealing on android. Then they had to go mess it up and try to be like iOS. If I wanted a crappy iphone I wouldn't have purchased an OLED phone. Now this app just makes me angry and I'd prefer to go pay for a bod pod measurement. This app used to be great. Then the new UX came out and it looks like they let the high school intern have a go at it. The white is ugly and the shades of orange and blue are so similar you can't tell them a part. The old UX was perfect. Seriously please go back to the old one. I can't stand using this app the way it looks. It's offensive to my eyes.

Old app colors and UI were visually stunning - easy to see wherewhat needed work. The new colors and UI is so similar that I can no longer tell without really paying close, detailed attention and bringing phone closer to my face to see difference between colors.

I have both an iPhone and Android device (Samsung S7 edge) I don't know why but i scaned the same place 3 times in both devices and there are a real significant difference in percentage on both devices like (24% BF and 45 MQ on IOS - 21% and 49 on Android) And the layout of the IOS is better than the Android And there is a live scene feature on IOS that is not on the Android Those the ones that i caught IDK if there is more or not

UPDATE: you have a good product I think, all you have to do is to make a good app but you guys are making hard for it to happen.. 1) The parts of the body and the values have a too similar color 2) The analysis part of the app STILL isn't opening anything 3) Make the app material design streamline (this isn't ios, it's android and they have their own color guidelines). Do you even test the app before releasing an update? Please stop ruining a good product and make a good app.

Update Mar 2017: Thanks for the visual overhaul and for responding to my review. That you are engaging with us the users is greatly appreciated. I just ran my first scan with the app and am sad that scanning still produces the strangest results. Depending on which muscle I scan 15% body fat can be considered good or considered needs work, there is no logical comparison between muscles which doesn't make sense. Further I apparently lost 4% body fat in less than a week without working out. And still the measure is a good 6% higher than my Fitbit Aria scale. I'll be sending in my screenshots, maybe you can help me make sense of this. Also you have dedicated users that backed you on Indiegogo that believe in the product let's build a community to make things better. Oh and use the Alpha and Beta features of the play store you'd be surprised how many people will happily test your new features.

It was working until the recent update. I can view my numbers from before but none of the buttons under analysis and training work, so i cant access the plans. Also, itd be nice for the plans to rotate more frequently and target tue same muscle groups with different routines.

I am really fusterated with this app. I was impressed with the app and the product at first and then this useless update destroyed my impression!!! I was planning on getting one for my girlfriend but quickly changed my mind. I was two weeks in and the update made the app and my Chisel worthless (why dont you just reverse the update). Even with a fix I will be reluctant to recommend this app for sometime and I wish I could get a refund! There are other apps out there that does the same thing without bodyfat measurements ( by the way, the BF % are off too! ). I send the support staff an email

The analysis part doesnt work! Is this going to be fixed?? At least give back the older version! Im sending back my chisel and asking for a refund at this point bc its useless without the app working

Please change the display back or give us customization options. The white is awful and all the colors are so similar now it's hard to tell anything apart.

Analysis - Comprehensive plan is totally broken. Returns always the same workout plan no matter your Scanner measurements or even gender. (I compared my plan to my girlfriend's and we have totally different muscle quality and fat levels. Also I haven't scanned in a long while and the comprehensive plan stayed the same even after updated (different) results) To quote skulpt from their site GET PERSONALIZED ADVICE "Regardless of what stage you're at, your workout plan and diet advice will be adjusted in response to your latest Scanner measurements. The data helps us to see what works best for you, and help you reach your peak performance, with less wasted effort."

I've not used it for a while then came back to expect it to be great... This was not the case. I still have issues using the app on my android phone. So have to resort to my iOS device. Very disappointed

The new UI looks great, but as others have noted the color palette is too similar to see distinctions. I do like that the exact values are now listed on screen, but the color coding needs to be more distinct. PS I don't want you to lose your job! Keep up the good work!

What is with the ugly white interface that is so much harder to read... Please go back to dark background. This is not iOS! I funded you guys and got the aim day one. It doesn't match other bf measuring such as dexa or Hydro and it used to. The app has gone down hill and it is a nightmare to sync or even just trying to scan. There is no excuse for such poor app development.

App in my android is not working. Measurements are working kinda ok, it refuse to measure some muscles, then I can't see the training programs and it's not possible to modified goals.

I bought Skulpt Chisel, and obviously downloaded the apo in order to have also the Analysis stuff, but with the new update I cannot see my routine

Will definitely upgrade this to 5 stars once I can do a bf test in guest mode. Waiting to use this in my pt business. Update: Thank you so much for updating this app!! Great functionality!

The new UI looks like it's a cheap PowerPoint presentation. Please revert to the previous UX.

This really doesn't do what it says at all. Able to measure but all buttons from plan and analysis do nothing. Please build better app.

Good new app. Like the clean and smooth look similar to the iOS version. Minor improvements and live scanning feature in next update please

Seconding- update neutered the analysis pages. Are you guys going to update this or what.

The product (device) is great at measuring bf on each muscle, but the algorithm that interpolates the 3 point (quick scan) could be a lot better: It gives too much priority to the tricep measurement, being the smallest mucle group of all(Any deviation on that measurement and it throws the whole scan off)... the formula should be (for males): TOTAL_BF= (TRI_BF*0.15)+(ABS_BF*0.35)+(QUAD_BF*0.50) Based on the proportional mass each part contributes to the whole body weight on an average fit male. You could even make it dead accurate by including tape measurements of the muscles (ARMS, BELLY, LEGS) and modifiying the multipliers with those... PD: The new colors are horrible!

Updates actually made things worse. Aim now starts with an error message. It is often difficult to sync to app. There have been delays in showing whole-body stats. %BF no longer matches DEXA, which it used to for me. Can no longer filter graphs by coherent time periods. Now have to navigate to settings in order to sync to app..... Why is everything moving backwards? Used to recommend the device to everyone; not any more.

I RARELY give a 1star. But this app SERIOUSLY need a major rewrite. The user experience with the app gives the brand a bad rep. Clunky pairing process (yes I know how to pair BT devices), forced firmware update (why force user?), unsuccessful update = blocked from using your previously fine Chisel, login-first approach (user hates this), unable to downgrade to use previous calc formula, and lastly frequent crashes as of Feb17. When an app failed to reach at least 4-stars, there is something seriously wrong with the app. Hire more devs Skulpt! >:(

The battery life of the unit started off mediocre and only got worse. At this point if I take it off of the charging unit with a full charge and use it to do a quick scan, the battery is dead before I can synch it with my device. Still needs work.

Frustrating initial issues getting it to scan. Needed to contact Skulpt on Facebook. They removed my details from the server and recommended a complete reinstallation. Finally the first triceps quickscan worked and subsequent scans.

The latest firmware update screwed up the device so badly. It's a paper weight now. It was a cool product, but now is crap. I can't get a single muscle to be scanned. Wish I could get a refund but it's too old.

When it was working, I loved it... Then, analysis went black and now I can't log in at all... Please fix! Then I'll up the rating. It's fixed!! Thanks. It will get 5 stars once it comes out with some fixes.

Can't log in and now I'm stuck with a 90 quid paper weight. Im willing to wait for the app to work but can Skulpt please acknowledge that there is a problem, and they are in the process of fixing it. Just a little communication please!

I cannot log in to the app. I put the correct login credentials, but when I tap the log in button, a Toast message says "Network error". I have a solid Internet connection, and I've tried on LTE and wifi. Same problem on a different device.

I had the original AIM for over a year great product. I went to use it 2 weeks ago and it died and didnt work. Spoke to support even though i had it almost 2 years they took it back and gave me a brand new chisel cant beat that service with a stick.

I am afraid of changing my goals since that erases advise that takes months to of measurments to show up. Is there a way that can be archived somewhere ?The fast and full body fat measurement disagree. On my last reading, they disagree by 1.4% or a 2.3lb of fat difference. With my current eating and exercise plan this impression leaves me in the dark for 3 weeks. I would like to measure progress with more pressision so I know what works for me sooner.

I've noticed that over a period of time using this device/software that my muscle quality is decreasing with every measurement and that the body fat is increasing overtime. now I ain't bulking but I am looking a lot more better than when I first began measuring myself, maybe it's just me, but I don't think this is accurate

Just bought the skulpt chisel. U cant even log in or create a new account to use it.tried on Wi-Fi, tired on cellular..the website doesn't haven't a place to create or log in. What the heck.

Shows up in my list of bluetooth devices. Add it in Bluetooth settings, says paired. Connection fails. Delete everything, try to pair through skulpt app even. Keeps saying are you sure your Chisel is flashing blue? Of course I'm sure...

I cannot even sign up!! After the 'one last thing" where i entered email and password it just says network error. Now the skulpt chisel is totally useless without the app functioning!!

The app is really a mess. The app is completely different from whats show at the app install page. For each muscle I have to click to a different page to see fat and muscle quality.
