Skillsoft Learning App for Android
Text is wonky and fluctuate page to page. Severely limited to copy text for notes and no screenshot ability makes this suck for work book club. Not sure what we are paying for access to their library but it is not money well spent.
Every screen takes an age to load regardless of how good my 4g or WiFi connection is. The content is good but that's pointless if it takes so long to even do a search. I'm based in Ireland so my assumption is you only have servers in the US, you need to sort this out.
Text formatting is very wonky. About every other page the text would flip from correctly sized to microscopic. Impossible to actually read a book with this app.
This used to work really well however I'm now stuck in a login loop.
Is very slow , need to improve on app response time
Cant zoom into videos.. videos do not switch to full screen mode
Slow... Not user friendly at all
When it works it's a great app. I have some trouble getting content to load sometimes, it may be connection related, but other apps perform well when I'm having trouble with this one.
App freezes frequently. When reading books, random pages are blank or not fully displayed on the screen. In a browser on a desktop, I can find a course that can't be find in the mobile app.
Many things aren't intuitive about this app but once you figure out its quirks the sheer size of the available library makes this easily a 5 out of 5. If they improved the user interface and it stopped telling me my Python interest had been removed even though it hadn't I would try to give them a 6. :)
Full screen not working while watching videos. Why wi-fi connection is mandatory? Need to look at all aspects.
Loading content is a little slow, but available information makes up for this issue.
Pages in the books don't always render in correct format leading to text being chopped off the screen.
After sign in showing an error page.. object moved to here.. on click of here nothing happens
App works very lazy, and there is no sign up option
The ebooks only load partial pages. It wouldn't be that bad if you could make it through a chapter without missing 14 pages.
Most uncomfortable to use. No Page number.
Can't get to work with cellphone data
Nice application but very slow.. need to concentrate on performance..
Has a good collection of books - app frequently crashes, though
Course videos are not playing when we switch on mobile data
Technical bugs in the application Specially Books reading
Search is limited in app compared to desktop
Needs more improvement to enhance the UI
Videos are in HD.
Need few improvement.. consider user reviews pls..
Works great for on the go!
Buggy when completing a course.
Very good
Loved it.
Nice...
I want to enter, and it says me to choose 3 interests(even if i have only 1) and after 30-60 seconds of waiting it keeps telling me i am offline. Tried 3 different wi-fi,and the mobile network, so that i am sure o have internet access
It's good that Skillsoft have a mobile app. But usability is not good, should look at Amazon Kindle app as reference. Issues so far: - Figures are not displaying correctly - Text gets mixed up over time - Does not always return to the same place after closing app - Does not work offline 3/26/17: Reading contents on Android (Edge 7) can get frustrating. Formatting gets weird, like the fonts are cut off or scroll contents when it shouldn't. Bookmarks also works in unexpected ways.
I would like to use this app to read books my company had made available to me, but scrolling between pages is almost impossible . Pages get stuck half way or several pages are skipped at once. Sometimes it works better if i "hop"pages by drawing a "n"with my finger but it's just not reliable.
Has some basic problems with the UI, like scrolling between pages getting stuck at halfway and pictures and tables being cut off or grainy. Reasonable functionality elsewhere. Could use some work.
Primitive application, created only for the purpose to check-mark having mobile application in portfolio: courses do work only in portrait mode (on mobile phone - Samsung Galaxy S7, both on Lollipop and Nougat), not possible to see videos over mobile data (Wi-Fi only), not possible to download videos for offline watching... The only good thing is that... it exists at all...
The pages cut off on the right side and it keeps telling me that i am offline, even though i am connected to high speed wifi. When restarting the app, i frequently have to flip through pages to find where i left off. Very frustrating...
The sign-in page just sits there after entering in the subdomain, selecting the correct drop-down and hitting next. I even tried the different protocols that work and still nothing. Can't even get to a login prompt. For trying to access via web on a mobile device, just brings up a menu that doesn't have any saved courses in it so that's a wash as well.
Can't get past the "Your Interests" page. The text says "it'll be quick, we promise", but nothing seems to happen until I get told that I have no Internet connection... Doesn't work at the moment.

The app is so slow navigating from one page to the next. Just trying to browse books and add them to my list is a hugely time-consuming process. Kind of ironic since some of the books that I'm looking at are on managing time.
