 The roof of the house is an important part of the building construction of the house because it is above to cover all parts of the building.
Construction or roof structure generally consists of three main parts: roof cover structure, gording and frame of horses. The roof cover will be supported by the roof truss structure, which consists of horses, gording, usuk and batten. Roof loads will be passed into the foundation through columns and or beams.
Roof structure is generally made by following or adjusting to the overall floor plan or shape of the building (roof design house). If the house consists of 2 floors, the roof structure is made following the floor plan / layout on the 2nd floor.
Roof Design
There are several forms of home roof design that can be used as a reference when you will build a house, among others:
1. Shape of the saddle
This roof is the roof of the house that is considered the most secure because maintenance is easy in terms of detecting in case of leakage. The saddle sash consists of two inclined plane whose top ends meet in a straight line we call the ridge. Angle angle between 30 s / d 45 degrees.
2. Shield Roof (Limasan)
This roof shape is a refinement of the shape of a saddle roof, which consists of two inclined plane roofs that are trapezium-shaped. The two roofs are triangular in shape with the usual slope.

This roof shape is a combination or a combination of a saddle and shield (limasan) roof. Some also mention this type of roof as a broken roof roof or roof joglo.
4. Flat roof form
The model is a horizontally long horizontal plane usually used for roof terraces. Or even used to create a garden above the house. The roof of this form is the most difficult treatment especially in the problem of detecting leaks. What needs to be considered in this roof plan is to take into account the air circulation space underneath so that the room temperature is not too hot.
5. Shape Roof Sandar
