Open Comic Reader

A simple great comic reader. The only two downsides so far are proper sorting of series with multiple parts (eg. 2, then 20, then 200) and not marking a comic read/auto advance properly to next in series. But this is all nothing compared to the beauty and ease of use this provides. Good stuff.

Whenever I read something with a lot of pages the reader crashes part way and won't let me finish. This is fixed if I split it into smaller parts but it's still annoying.

Simply the best comic reader for my phone. You use the volume buttons to turn the pages. You technically can turn the pages by swiping, but it is slow and difficult to do it that way.

This is definitely the best comic reader I've found. It offers tons of customizability, only thing missing is folders within folders. I really wish i could have separate folders and sub collections.

Great app. Love that it's open source. The only thing missing for me would be the ability to turn off the volume button page turning

It's amazing, I like it. By the way could you add support for .7z format please? I often compress comics and mangas to 7z since (somehow) it compress much better than zip or rar. Thanks!

Swipe gesture not working properly, no buttons for next page,starts getting on nerves after few pages, uninstalled though I am a strong advocate of open source.

Simple CBR viewer with only media read access. Other apps want permissions they don't need.

I want to start off by saying I love your app i think it is hands down the best. The only reason I i'm only giving it 4 stars atm is vecause it keeps crashing during syncing for some reason after update. Thus I have not been able to use it. I have tried fixing via cache clear library clear etc. Please help if possible again love your app

I don't know if its my comics, my phone, or the app, but this is unusably slow and unresponsive. Seems like a good enough app.

I think I've tried just about every comic reader out there and this is my favorite for Android hands down. Keep up the great work!

Lacking opening files from many sources like network made it a no no

After getting settings just right, this reader is the best of the bunch.

Best in market no disturbing ads. And lightweight. Only pdf reading compatibility missing hope that will come soon

I like it but the double tap fonction zoom in the middle of the screen, not where i tap.

Feature request: Access files from cloud storage services (Dropbox, Onedrive, GoogleDrive, etc...)

No frills, no thrills, no nonsense. I love it, but I would give 5 stars if I could swipe to change pages. I have an Otterbox and have comics set to fill the page by width, so pressing the edge of the screen against my case is a little cumbersome.

Loads maybe half of the comics in the sync folders, refuses to group them in any sort of recognizable way, and has no title search function. A joke.

I've settled on this as my main reader. The viewer is slightly clunkier than some, but the library presentation is top notch.

No ads, no frills. I find the comic selection to be clunky and sometimes working the ui while reading can be awkward, but overall it works well.

I tried to set one of the sync folders to /mnt/sdcard2, but it adds .. at the beginning, rendering it unable to sync/load any comics

Seems to do the job - the only issue I had was not being able to change pages at first. Easily fixed by going to Settings - Tap Boundary and changing it to something like 100 or more

Free, open source, no ads. Simply genius. I loved it. Only defect I came up with is sorting CBs, when I sync it doesn't seem to order the files alphabetically...other than that it's just perfect and suits my needs. Thanks Sketchpunk!!

Free. No adds. Open source. Very simple no frills - super easy to access media stored locally.

It's really good compared to other apps but don't like the page scrolling it's stiff n it couldn't view some of the webtoon pages :( can u plz fix it i really like this app!!!

Love and respect open source. But I tried syncing my folder and I didn't show anything, at all.

I hate the new look the new navigation the new everything the old version worked better
