ChordGen - Chord Progression for Android
There are only a small number of default progressions, you can only build progressions using chords within the chosen key, nothing above 7th chords, upgrade does not function without an internet connection and worst of all the app lags to the point of being COMPLETELY useless. Save your money and avoid.
All I wanted was an Am6 chord. They make you pay to upgrade to even see the chords, and in the end they have a tiny selection. No 6 chords. No lots of stuff.
Disappointing in the free version, not even worth trying it out
It looks good. The free version is very limited though, I'll consider an upgrade.
Love this app. Its been super helpful in learning btw chords and figuring out chord progressions.
Will pay to get rid of ads!
Great App! However , the beat goes away after the first chord. Would love it if this could be resolved .
No sequencing allowed in free version. Try guitar chords sequencer instead. Completely free and helped me hear chord progressions on paper quickly.
Great when you're stuck and need a quick idea to jam on!
I works fine for free version needs a few more features
An educational shortcut tool for chordmen.
Android phone. The app is fine in the free version except for a mistake or two on the chords. Buying the upgrade provides the ability to make longer sequences. Do stuff like 4 bars of each chord and you get more chords to pick from. Plus you can save your sequences to load again later. 3/4 or 6/8 time would help.
I just payed for this app hoping that the choke between each chord change would go away.. I feel fooled. This is not possible to play properly over this inconsistent rythme. Guys don't waste your money, the free version is (cranky) enough
Pretty cool. I don't remember what it does but it does play some solid backing tracks.
Klonky. After i purchased an upgrade it actually ran rougher. Nanosecond pauses between the end / start of progression makes the sound unsmooth and bumpy. Nothing but common time meter. Also after i purchased it, it worked for 1 day and them prompted me to buy again to use the "upgraded" features. Additionally the three choices of chord voices are not particularly useful, I would prefer something akin to an organ rather than the "power chord" option. Something with a long sound that isn't so dumbed down.
This app is helpful when trying to discover new ideas for arrangements though it is limited to a number of common progressions. The in-app purchase allows you to build your own progressions, but without the ability to save your creations or create multiple parts, it serves little purpose. Please consider adding this feature in an update.
It does what you need it to do. But it's just kind of like one of those things that when you look at it, you can't help but cringe and want to kick it away. It works and it's decently fine but...at least make it look half way decent and more user friendly. Very utilitarian though.

No need to buy the extras just learn with what it gives you its top.
Helps to get me out of ruts I fall in, good inspirational tool. Clean, simple and easy.
This app is useless if you're trying to develop your own style. There are others capable of doing it for free, but if you're a beginner guitarist who just wants to play and be knoblicker to impress insecure girls this is for you
all in one place i recommend it to other guitarists it will increase your talent times ten no fumblin around wasting time what you should play great idea thanks goes to the makers!
This tool makes playing with modal progressions really fun and interesting. Very intuitive design and the piano, power, finger picking options allow user to hear the modes in a variety of ways. Good work By2Labs. Slight break in sound when it starts the loop over, but still it meets my needs.
Can I make my own chords? The chords of the key are fine but I also need to add chords not on the list or change the chord. Such as add a 7th chord or a diminished. So that option would be great
Best of all, you can import and export in multiple file formats. A relatively intuitive program. Works well for me.

Just a good easy to use handy app :-)
Iove this freaking app
nice
Good
No support from developer after emailing. EDIT: support received and helpful
I cant believe you want to charge 3 dollars just for people to make their own chord progressions on this garbage app, there are lots of free apps that do everything this app does and 10 times better. Trying to charge people is insulting.
This is a great app but it needs to have the option to prevent device from sleeping at least during playback if nothing else. Also would like to have the option to build chord progressions using durations of 1 & 3 beats, not just 2 & 4. If those features get added I'll come back and give the 5th star. Great app overall. Definitely worth the download AND purchase! Very pleased!
Yeah, the orange and black interface & plane graphics is uninspiring to look at......(Could be a bit more colorful)....... Nevertheless.....it provides progressions.
Bought the premium version because of the app's convenience, but the musical features of it are too simple and limited. Include more chords, don't limit it to the chords of the key. No musician sticks to chords exclusive to the scale. Also, you should allow chords to go on for three beats for songs not in 4/4.
Fun little app. Just what I was looking for.
I like picking a key and playing monster guitar solos in it and this helps with my creativity. It is a bit stiff but I can work with it
It's nice. needs to be louder. acoustic drowns it out. phone on full blast. yes, I am ghetto
