Sitar Jam: Jam with People

Sitar Jam let's you have a jam session right on your device, connecting you musically with other people. It is the only app where you can jam with other people from your device without needing any additional music instruments or hardware. You can play music anywhere and don't need to own a physical music instrument. The jam app contains all the music software needed and connects you to other people who are synced to you over the internet. So you can jam with someone while you are waiting in line or while you are riding the bus or whenever you have a free moment for jams.

The app is targeted for all levels of sitar players and includes an authentic sitar tone. The sitar sounds are built into the music pad inside the app. You don't need to own a sitar.

Jam sessions last for 2 minutes and occur between different musicians playing different instruments. Players are synced over the internet using a music key and jam beat. You can also have a solo jam session where you play to just a backing track drum beat without another player jamming with you.

The app includes a music pad that spans up to an 8 octave range (much more than a standard sitar) with 10 different volume levels. With the music pad, you can play single notes, major chords, minor chords, or dominant seventh chords. Every note or chord has two durations - short or long.

A big part of the jam experience is getting a musical connection with your jam partner musician. So before jams occur, you see a brief profile of the person you are jamming with - including what instrument they are playing and where they are located. When you make music with someone else, you create a special artistic moment that's unlike any other experience.
