Compass Steel 3D

I very much like the features, but the calibration never completes no matter how many times I do the figure 8. It also asks to be calibrated every single time which seems excessive. Great having true/magnetic choice and ability to sight and see horizontal. I have tried several compass apps and would like this the best by far if it would calibrate.

Best compass app I've used. I'm a pilot, and I have a 50 ft sailboat I spend most of my time on. I'm an old fashioned guy. My sailboat has over 75 he's worth of GPS and other navigational equipment. But being an old fashioned guy I enjoy using the stars, the sun, the moon, my charts and this compass app for my navigation and it is fantastic. Navigation without GPS is quickly becoming a lost art.

Once I hot the operational side under control it became an attractive tool to use. But it appears to me that I have to re calibrate everytime I start this app. Is that as designed There is also a challenge to understand the difference between true North and Magnetic North. When would one use which? Otherwise I like the design very much

BEST. Simple, easy, smart. Moon and Sun data. ALL of what I want, none of what I don't. I want: calibration mode NOW, done. Vert= backside cam points to where, done. Horiz= top of phone points to where, done. Where is the moon, done. Where is the sun, done. Nothing more- done. I want it to work reliably and fast, done. PERFECTION. Here's the thing... I know my compass points from my house, however this app didn't give me a proper direction. When I face NNW it is telling me I'm either west or east. Yes two different reading after shutting down the app and restarting my phone. It isn't helping me with finding stars.

It's the best compass ap I have seen. It elegantly solves the problem of how to hold the phone while using it. The only attitude that doesn't work is face down (I checked). Graphics are clear and easy to read.

THE BEST FREE COMPASS APP. YOU CAN GET! No ads, many variations, true and magnetic north settings, etc. 100% accurate, just follow calibration set-up as needed.

Works excellent. Note: you need to calibrate outside of your car or truck because the metal will make readings incorrect. Works better than any other apps I have used.

Clear and accurate. A suggestion to make a great compass awesome. Android now has a split screen option. If you could display the compass on one screen, and the camera with a cross hair viewfinder on the other. This would put this app away ahead of the field. I know android doesn't let you split the screen with the camera app at the moment. Perhaps you could find a work around. There is always one somewhere.

I like it but there is a discrepancy between the horizontal and vertical views which means one or the other is inaccurate.

It simply seems to work well. Would I use it in the wilds? Probably not. (I would use a Silva.) But for around-town use and general orientation, it does the job.

GRRRRR8 I have an Acurite weather station on my roof and so far they're both in sync. Love the app!

Coordinate accuracy upto 6 digits atleast is desired. Also must display GPS coordinates regardless of the magnetic/true North mode. Need one click switching​ between true/magnetic heading.

Without doubt the best compass App in the Play Store and I have tried several others before finding this beauty. The really great part is that there are no Adds to disrupt the viewing experience. A very well designed App which I will readily recommend to my friends. As an extra bonus the developer has made it available in both eyes down and horizon view; Fantastic ******

Very handy app. Works really well after calibrating. I have checked its accuracy against a high-tech handheld device and it was pretty much spot on...well done...

I really like the new ads feature plus all the colors plus the true north setting option I really like then no ads feature and also the true north option and all the colors

Calibrated every time. Compass off 30 degrees constantly (toward the west) Even calibrated with sun possition

Dose not even work crashes as soon as I click on the app I have downloaded about five compass apps and they all didn't work so I am still looking

At the moment its the only compass app that I can get to calibrate properly on my phone. Its good.

Inaccurate. North seems to be a random point! Pretty useless for a compass.

Clean app. Very nice design. Looks good, works well. Just what I wanted. Love the sun and moon locations on compass and info on today and tomorrow rise and set times. I will use it just for that sometimes!

Works perfect. I like how the compass pivots in 3D when you tilt your device. Very nice.

I'd like the option of removing the heading dot in the middle of the compass. Allow the option of switching The top and the bottom.

Perfect. Simple, accurate, pretty to look at. I use it all the time: hiking, kayaking, traveling on the road, stargazing!

Love this app regardless of having to calibrate each time. Pretty close to accurate more than others I've tried...probably because of recalibrating.

Calibration a small problem in that you need to repeat the process
