SimpliSafe Home Security App for Android
Works great. Keeps me logged in, like the push update, LOVE that I can control activationdeactivation from phone. Would get a 5 start if, like the website, I could see sensor status.
The app is relatively simplistic and occasionally forgets its login credentials and the app pin settings. Otherwise it does what it is supposed to do without bloat or adware.
Great app when it works. For me it works about 75% of the time. The other 25% I have to log in on web page to arm/disarm - totally defeating the purpose of having the app.
I saw the Simplisafe YouTube video featuring the app which showed sensor data...but this app does not have that? It looks very nice but the app only shows 2 things. Status of alarm (Off, home, away) and temperature... I was hoping to see other sensor data too...can that be added pretty please? Update 1/7/17: Just an FYI this app seems erratic for changing modes. Time to change modes is between 4 and 15 seconds. Rarely it will get stuck is a disconnecting loop where it will say "Reconnecting in x seconds" then revert to the mode you were in. Not sure if an app bug or a problem with the cell system it uses. Update 5/12/17: App flaked out on me. Would just keep showing ERROR on the circle when you start the app. Logging out and in as well as clearing app data didn't help. Reinstalling the app seemed to fix it so if you read this and experience the same issue hopefully this helps you.
I get a notification on my phone each time the alarm is armed or disarmed... And no way to turn that setting off from what I can find. Quite annoying.
Needs the ability to add Multiple Users... I can't give my renter access to the app without also giving them access to my Master PIN. Other then that is seems to work well.
App won't change alarm status. I still get updates when the alarm status is changed via the keypad, but if I try to use the app to change the status, it just sits and "spins" and then finally times out. The base is getting 4G signal, and so is my phone. What a waste!
Works for the most part on two accounts. Phone on Android 5 requires pin to access but tablet on Android 6 does not require pin. Others have reported this on Android 7 as well. I am on the latest version in a play Store. On both phone and tablet when edit pins is selected it only shows custom pins for my second account no matter which account is chosen from the pull down menu.
Works well for me. I like the push notifications feature. How about adding a "Panic" button or code? Or allowing the use of the duress code?
Unable to see the tempature on the s8 although I'm connected to my nest account this app is full of fake advertisement
App no longer works. Reads error all the time
Needs the ability to monitor multiple Simplisafe systems. Note I must log off one system to log on to another. Sigh, guess I will have to wait for this feature.
An almost useless app, designed to upsell you "interactive services".
Ok, app back to great again. Thanks for fixing it.
It offers the peace of mind that you need out in rural areas, where cops are not close
Totally buggy! Constantly alerts me to false actions
Works great after the last bus fix
Love the new arm/disarm alerts!!
Takes forever to connect
Great app that keeps getting better
Easy and mobile
Easy to use
After the update, it doesn't work. Forget to set your alarm and you're cozy in bed? - no problem just use this app...oh wait it doesn't work...
I can't get into the app. It states network error but my network is strong
Updated and stopped working. WORTHLESS.
The push notifications don't work... On a freaking Samsung S7 Edge... Pretty lame. Other than that, BASIC functionality. Probably should have given it a 2/5... But it works, I guess...
Secondary pin notifications that kids use don't work. Only master pin number sends notifications. Junk! Using s7 edge too. Also, Alexa and IFTTT integration needs to happen.
This has been much improved over the old app. I like the push notifications. Please add some more functionality like the ability to check individual sensor status and custom push notification tones.
Better to just make a shortcut and use the website. Even with the updates it still logs you out every couple days. At least with Chrome it'll remember your login info.
No sensor states and no fingerprint unlock option when using PIN. Could be better. Decent otherwise.
Update: Still a painfully basic app. Definitely won't be trying any of their cameras if this is how it is.
Great system and response, great price, great service and protection, best on the market, highly recommend!
Absolutely a great product. Easy set up and great customizations.
Works great for me, seemless
SimpliSafe needs to step it up. We can't get a better app?? This app is very basic. If you need to make changes to a sensor or to even see what sensors you have setup you have to log-in to the website. The only thing the app really does is allows you to arm and disarm from your phone. You'll also get a text saying that it's been armed/disarmed.
My mom, my sister and i all have simplisafe. But because my mother has set them all up under her name we cant use the app for just my house. There has to b a way to separate them without having different accounts
Worked great on my Note 5 till I went to android 7.0. Now it doesn't ask for pin or password, and doesn't always turn system on or off (just spins). Same thing on my son's new S8 with same OS.
The recent update in April 2017, added the ability to view or change your PIN. This update is completely useless. What needs to be added is the ability to see what sensor is open. It's too much work to log into the website and view that sensor. Having the simplisafe app to view the sensor in default is much needed ASAP.
Terrible app. Why does it not have an option to stay logged in? What if I need to trigger or shut off my alarm immediately. Honestly this app seems like an afterthought. Makes me dislike the whole system

Love the whole concept. Already talked my brother into getting Simplisafe. Just wish I could make changes through the app like I can online. Still highly recommend this system except for the camera. Camera definitely needs some work.
