Contacts & Dialer by Simpler

Best minimalist dialer I have come across so far. Makes favourite contacts more accessible and the tools (merge contacts and pull profile photos from Facebook) have been really useful. The only thing I would like to see improved is the page the app opens on. In the settings there is an option to set which page of the app opens first when you open the app, but this is only applied when the app is closed. It would make sense for this to be applied every time you move away from the app.

I was setting this up and trying to look at a contact's information. Instead of letting me view the contact, it placed a call and the entire screen and went blue for the duration of the call, so I couldn't even hang up before voicemail picked up. I had to turn off my phone to end a call. Terrible first impression, uninstalling now.

Simplicity with basic theme features, but best of all it combines all your backed up contacts and checks for duplicates. It also smart identifies phone numbers. Currently lacking a shortcut messaging icon in the dialer keypad; even my stock Samsung S7 dialer keypad has one.

OK app. Too many false duplicates, need to be able to exclude home or work numbers to match on. Will only allow saving of new contacts to Gmail account, which I don't use. Very frustrating

Generally good app but No option to group calls and no option to use already existing contact groups. No shortcut for dialer. No option to customize favorites shape, size and order. When scrolling down contact list you can't see the leading letter if it's not English. Doesn't support non-English contact list.

The best app I could find. Anyway, You need to get used to, for example if You click on number, it calls to the guy, if You click on avatar, it opens info of the guy... By the way, missing option to esit number before call... Sometime mistakenly type number, ao it would be easier to edit and cal rather then type all number again...

Good clear interface, easy to use. But one major issue. The backspace and + sign while adding a number does not work. Numbers on the top 3 / 1 are pressed when these signs are pressed. I have to add new contacts at google.

So far so good. I appreciate the way the call history labels which phone number was used (home, cell, etc.). My phone's but in app didn't do that. The only thing I would change at this point is to have the app icon be a phone or to have a widget with a phone icon. Not a big deal. It will just take some getting used to.

Constant nagging to post a review immediately on installation means I haven't had time to evaluate this app properly before posting. Otherwise looks like it will be a good contact manager. Only other problem is headings appearing in a foreign language despite choosing English in settings.

I love the customization. Only thing I would adjust is change the icon into a phone also allow for swiping to call and speed dial. Great tools in the app, merging contacts, cleaning blank numbers or just email addresses saved as contacts.

I've tried a lot of phone apps, this is nice and simple, great. I have a problem with the default app which came with the tablet, it flashes black to white when dialing. Until you ask for nearly $15 a year, when Google is free

Simple, the only reason I switched to simpler is my previous app that I used for calling was sharing the my saved names to a particular numbers are displayed in the same app installed in other mobile. I hope you guys are not doing so. Features are good, simple to use, very useful.

This app helps me identify unknown callers. Also, if someone that I don't have in my Contacts, Simpler automatically helps me add them to contacts after my phone call. Great app!

The UI looks nice, like how it will replace photoes, yet an expensive back but haven't used it much yet. It kept pressuring me to rate it. Will update when I have a better idea.

Used to love this. Just today I finally let it merge suspected duplicates and in doing so, it deleted all of those contacts - out of all my devices and programs! Not happy.

Awesome app. Best part is images from Facebook. A bit of confusion that there are 3 different apps, need to corporate that into one. Good work developers

in my opinion would be nice to have an option on how to delete backups. I couldn't find such feature. Overall is better then other similar apps like intouchapp which if you uninstall-deletes contacts, also its free version has limited devices.

Seems to have improved. Some comments about only being able to save new contacts to Gmail - I haven't found this to be the case. Offered Google, Outlook or Phone to save contacts. The options for cleaning, duplicate management and backup are very easy to use. Pleased with being able to personalise the palette options. Would be good to be able to change font styles.

Loving the app so far. My only complaint is that it takes a couple seconds to open before I can make a phone call but it works fantastically.

Great contacts app. Clean, simple, somewhat customizable. My only complaint is that it doesn't preserve my existing Google contacts groups, but otherwise, it's everything I needed.

I've never needed a separate contacts app from what comes standard on a device until now, but since the AT&T address book is so awful I decided to try out Simpler. I really like how easy it is to edit and that it shows a name for callers that aren't saved on my phone

So far it looks great. Unlike the stupid Google Lollipop Phone app, this let's me display only the contact groups that I want to display.

So far I really like it.. I've gone threw 15 others & got to this one & have stuck around a bit

Very nice. Think about adding search by email including the use of wildcards. Would be very usefull to weed out unwanted contacts from previous jobs.

All of a sudden will not work on my Google Nexus 6P, was working great before but now just crashes every time I try to open it and will not work at all.

Good for if you dial a wrong number by a digit and it shows the name. For example if you want to call dominoes and you messed up a digit it will show a different name other the dominoes pizza

Failed to send messages. Worked for a while, then stopped working. Messages appeared sent. Then switched back to default ap. and there was no trace of then. Uninstalling.

A good easy app. The only main problem is the app does not show missed calls on icon unless you open the app.

LG G3 needed a better dialer and contact manager. I tried a few others and then found simpler. I've been using it for more than a year now. It works very well.

Would LOVE IT if, whenever I use a shortcut to direct dial, my old dialer us used. Is there no easy of creating NEW direct dial links for this app?

This app has never given a problem. Saved me when my main phone app quit working!

Not a full dialer, just an additional app in serial operation to the actual dialer. Comfort function of cleaning contacts is limited to a certain number of contacts. After that the upgrade to the paid version is required. I will uninstall it and find a real dialer.

My default contact manager stop working properly. So i download this app. It works like a champ. 5 star for you.

Just installed.. Reading from the reviews, I hope this app would not let me down... I have been looking forward to this and I hope it works!

Awesome! Takes the guess work out of who you've called when they aren't in your address book.

I'm still finding my way around this app, I've not tested all aspects of it yet but so far it's fulfilling all my expectations.

The app makes it quick and easy to find people I'm looking for an organized them in groups amongst other things satisfied with it so far Happy with the app so far makes it easy and simple to find people and organize my contacts

My Samsung J7 contacts starting missbehaving and preventing me from making calls. SIMPLER solved the problem!

A better app. In my moto 5g plus group and group messaging facilities was missing and Simpler has simply solved it. Highlight of missed call and message options on the contact window is admirable. It is only one day I used. I love it.

I like the app a lot. Especially since I can change the contacts so they are not all different colors.
