Simple Gallery

Almost the best image viewer! The only two things missing are a little check button when selecting more than one image to send on Discord. And the nitpicking begins! The image quality you get when viewing images using this app is extremely close to the quality of Fast Image Viewer. I will use this as my main image viewer for now on. Four stars indeed!

The concept of simple apps with minimal permissions appeals. Lots of new features being added, but the basics are not being sorted, bugs in each release, and ongoing problems not being addressed. ▶Major issues ① Won't open pictures shared from some other apps, eg can't open email (K9) picture attachments. ② Sort by 'date taken' not working, all my pictures are jumbled up. I suspect they may be in 'date modified' order. ③ Some pictures very slow to open, high definition pictures don't open at all - just get a grey screen. Unusable on any of my devices in its current state: Tablet Android 4.2.2, Sony Xperia Android 4.3, Sony Xperia Android 5.0

The problem with deletion an moving are solved, but still the process are really slow compared with other apps. Keep the good work!

Very good photo-viewing album. I downloaded this after switching from the Moto g3 to the Moto g5, and was disappointed to see that the g5 did not have a normal gallery. My only issue is that GIFs play at half their normal speed after viewing them in fullscreen for more than a few seconds.

[Edit: Slow on folders with many pictures. Even if folder is in internal storage.] SOOOOOO slow. Sometimes only a grey background is shown for seconds, could not load pictures quick enough. Not an alternative.

Unless I just don't see it the only thing missing is a slideshow feature. Other than that this app is great. Edit - Can't wait. 5 stars now instead of 4.

Awesome so far, hated the google photo app that came stock. Drag and drop pictures amongst albums would be a plus, can you make it happen?

Really nice. Love the ability to set custom colours for the interface, as well as the option to avoid cropping thumbnails into squares. It would be most appreciated if you could add a simple slideshow feature; preferably without any silly transitions, with a setting to adjust the duration each image is displayed. That would be excellent. Thanks for creating a neat alternative to QuickPic!

It's ok. There isn't a way to exclude folders from the SD card, so all of the album art from my SD card shows up as thousands of different albums. Excluding all of them would easily take hours. Edit: thanks to the dev for responding. Never would have thought to exclude albums that way.

Can you please fix "Out of memory" error. This error is encountered while saving second image after rotating the pic.

Since my device had the gallery app not installed, iam satisfied by its performance

Believe it or not my lg tribute hd did not come with a gallery app for viewing photos. Only a crappy file explorer that barely functions. This app does everything i need it to do. View images, delete images, share images, and basic edit. Perfect. Thumbs up for adding new features quickly but stop complaining people. Its called SIMPLE gallery not photoshop.

It's a overall decent app. The loading can be slow at times and when I go to share photos to something else or when i go to delete photos it does what it's suppose to do but you have to go out of the folder you're on and go back in to show that they been transferred or deleted. That can be a big issue but I'm not gonna say it's major. Does need to be fixed though

Nice app. But if I'm scrolling threw pictures and think I'd like that one as my what's app profile the option not there to set it as what's app profile only set as wall paper. A lot of people use what's app now days so would be nice to add this option.. Thanks you

THANK GOD!!! I've been fighting with Google photos for months. This app feels like a breath of fresh air! Default folder view, and you're able to exclude folders like your music, so your not scrolling through ensures folders trying to find what you're looking for. Great app!

I like it a lot but the total of pictures and videos are incorrect, it's not really that big of a deal but it's very annoying when I have 10 things in a folder and it shows 300 on the outside. The correct number are inside though. That's why it's not that big of a deal.
