This client feels dated, switching channels can be difficult, there's parts of the client that are difficult to learn, I'm not sure what <> does next to the text entry box, probably best to skip over this one. Took awhile to figure out how to exit this client three dots on the home key row and exit.
Not getting how to use no option of help
why connection error..?
Why can't I turn it off? I would like a choice to do so.
Just a mess using this client to login to IRC. I tried doing commands manually and would not work so I quit. I couldn't get the proper Nick to work anyways.
Can't even figure out how to connect to a channel
So much swag.
Works smoothly on Samsung GT-P3100
Crashes frequently, fails to identify or ghost with nickserv. Two very important commands. Chatting with it is alright though.
Can't even figure out how to connect to a channel
Has anyone got this app to work with a ZNC? I get connected but wont allow : /quote PASS : When i input that and hit send nothing happens, any suggestions ?
Ads were not specified to be a part of this. Removed.
After going to home screen, the app always takes me back to its first screen instead of where i was... Annoying
best andriod irc i can easily connect to the channels i wish thank you.
When there's not much to choose from, go with Simpleirc, I suppose.
So much swag.
Full of AD on almost all pages

Crashes on connect
Not simple
Frequent disconnects unless app is in focus. Pretty much unusable.
Crashes. Unusable
Not sure what the author's definition of "simple" is, but this is anything but. Does not even seem o support basic chat commands.
I put in my registered Nick in settings it finds it is already used and instead of asking me to identify via /msg NickServ identify ***** it simply defaults back to the app name. I should register it, then no one could log on.
Needs status in channel selection box after you join selected channels. Hard to disconnect without having to scroll back to beginning.
This app is fully functional using Talkback. Simply the best IRC app I've found. The only thing it needs is an option to be notified of any incoming message in any channel I've joined.
It does actually work which compared to other apps is an advantage, but the settings menu is overly complicated (perhaps put advanced settings somewhere else) . It also will not maintain a connection and there is a persistant and annoying notification (which can be disabled in the app manager settings area). Finally, the inability to hide join/leave notifiers makes it almost entirely unusable on large channels. An ability to increase text size would also be nice but fix the rest first.
Simple but feature rich. Works and looks good. I will admit it does need work, the notification icon is useless ATM and the only way to get back to the app without disconnecting from everything is the recent apps button. Oh and to the guy that said there is no way to view the channel, you must not know how to explore and figure out an app on your own because I figured out how to do it in 15 seconds.
As others have said, it fails to maintain background connections. It also doesn't tell you when it's successfully joined a channel, so you're sitting there waiting for no reason. It doesn't hold focus well when switching to other apps. Frustratingly, it maintains a presence in your notification bar (windowshade), but it just says "List Server" and doesn't do anything useful like stay connected. It also fails to let you select more than one nickname, trying each in sequence until it finds a free nick. Surprisingly, it lets you do this with server ports! And, it supports channels with password (separate name from password with space). It supports SSL connections. A little more polish and this would be a great app, but as of now, it's only proof of concept at best. Can't use AndroIRC because it's DOA for me: it crashes as soon as I select the first menu. So, this is about all we have for Android....
It is where what it says it does. How? Dunno. Just remember this: smoking marijuana is a choice and if you choose now to do so then in the future you will have chosen. You can also choose to make a choice in the FUTURE but that would be completely off topic.
A seriously awful irc client. The UI is the most horrendous thing I have seen. In order to change between servers, you have to go back to the server screen, up again to get to the server list, click the server, click the header, click open chats, click the chat you want to change to. This totals to 5 presses. Furthermore, the chats aren't hilighted when there are unread posts. The server list also has a pair of, discreet, ads on it. Then there is a mystery button, I thought it was for autocompleting usernames, but that's not what it does. The user list is also hidden under the header, 2 presses away, and it is not sorted by rank, so I'm not sure if there are ops or regulars on and who they are at a glance. I suppose simpleIRC might be acceptable if you only have one chat that you want to frequent and never wish to change that, or look at the people in the room.
Great. Couldn't figure out how to join a channel. All you do is /join #channel. Please simplify for new users. Maybe a button. Thanks.
Thanks , but could you please update the UI components (API) ?? It looks very old :p
Disconnects from server when backgrounded, convoluted interface, broken functionality. Oh, and there's ads.
