Simple Checkbook Ledger Free

I have been using this app for over a year now and up till now i have loved this app! But, the constant having to back out of the play store because it is trying to get me to download more apps is getting ridiculous. I have had 12 different apps pop up in the play store before it would let me get back to this app to finish what i was in the middle of doing. I understand this is a free app but one or two times taking me to the play store ok but to have go through 12 different apps to get back to my ledger.

I have only been using this app for a few weeks now and I was adding preferences to my account, specifically; highlight balance in yellow once it gets to $50, and then I get the "unfortunately Simple Checkbook ledger free has stopped" sign. This was 2 days ago and I haven't been able to sign back in since. I am not happy about this AT ALL. Any suggestions?

Wanted a simple checkbook register to record transactions quickly & easily. Other apps had lots of bells, whistles & gaudy color schemes. This app is perfect for my needs! Same as recording transactions with pen into checkbook register. Easy! Love it!! Only flaw is I cannot delete more than one transaction at a time after balancing checkbook. Says that you can, but it doesn't work. Takes longer, but wouldn't trade it for another app.

Like many of the recent reviews, I USED to love this app. I have a credit union and my account balance through their app is only updated at 8am Monday through Friday. This app was a wonderful find for me years ago. But in the last month, web pages and the Google play store are automatically opening, making it VERY difficult to add even one entry to the ledger. I looked at downloading the add free version, but it's reviews are not the best. I think it is time to look at another app altogether. :-(

So far work great. There is many financial apps. Most of them with tons of things that can get you crazy and at the end u have no idea why it doesn't match your numbers. This app is simple but very straight to what i need. If they can improve in the look will be awesome.

Had to get a new phone and reinstall the app. Started to put in data with no issues.I did not upload any data from previous phone. I am starting over as if first time use. I go to open the app and get a message saying 'checkbook ledger free has stopped' I can report to Google or click OK. I have gone to settings and cleared the apps cache and also gone to Google play services and cleared cache. Also did a force stop. I am still receiving the same message.

I've been using this app since 2014 and had two accounts that I was maintaining. Recently I went to enter transactions, and in both accounts, all of my 2015 and 2016 entries had been completely erased. Only 2014 remains... I checked the archives and everything else in the menu, is there anyway I can get these years back?

Have used this app a very long time! Luv it! Or did! Now out of the blue every time i try to do something it trys non stop to take me to a web page of some kind! I understand ads! But taking me out of the app completely. ...WTF! PLEASE FIX THIS! I LIVE BY THIS APP! Will gladly give 5 stars when its fixed

I work in a bank and hear folks fuss all the time about how they can't keep a ledger. I like this. It is basic, simple, and keeps a running total. And you always have your phone with you, so there ya go. It's handy

Started out loving this app. Glad I didn't review earlier. Would have given 5 star then. After a couple of weeks use, all of a sudden I'm getting double and triple entries of everything. Removed entries and they came back. I'm stopping use.

Created an account and used it. Worked just fine until I closed the app and tried to open it later. Prompted me for a password but it hadn't asked me to set one up, so now I'm locked out of my account. Useless.

Very simple to use. I have only found one drawback. I believe the credit card ledger should have a due date option. Because if it is due on the 3rd, its month runs from the 4th to the 3rd of the following month. Instead of the usual calendar month. Would be easier to balance.

I spent 2 hours entering all the data into my ledger and creating a ledger. When I opened it this morning everything was erased. I had to dumpster dive for all my receipts so I can now manually enter them in a paper ledger. What a waste

I used to love this app, but now it's full of bugs & crazy advertisements. Every time I try to input something it redirects me to another ad page. It's useless. -unhappy

I actually really liked the app, it was exactly what I had been looking for. One daddy I opened it, and everything was gone.... As if I had just downloaded the app. I figured I had accidentally dented everything, and downloaded the app again, 3 days later, everything had disappeared again.

I used this for 2 years. Today, I go into it to balance my checkbook, all my information-gone. No way to get it back. So angry right now!

I love this app. It's convenient and easy to use anywhere without consuming a lot of my time. I just wish there was a print button instead of exporting and going through extra steps just to print it if needed

Loved this app for the first several months then started getting pop ups and redirects. Now I have lost my data for the second time . Very frustrating - if I'm going to start from scratch again it will be with a new program or back to a hard copy!

I've had the app for a year and I've LOVED it.... until today. Never any problems, and then today I opened it to find the last 10 weeks of entries ERASED. Did it get too full? Should I have deleted some old entries? I don't know.

I just wanted a simple checkbook app. The one that I was using started suffering from feature creep and kept getting more bloated. This is what I wanted. A checkbook. That's all.

Always like it except the adds popping up with out even being clicked on. I've had for over a year never had a problem until today. Went into it and 2 months were gone. They were not even in my archives. :( glad I work at the bank so I can program it all back in!

Great app. I highly recommend it. I'm actually addicted to it LOL. I tried the free version for only a few minutes then I bought the full version shortly afterwards. It's only .99¢ - I wish they had an "online version" that I could sync with.

I just lost every transaction on this a couple days ago, has this happened to anyone else? Not sure if it was the app or if someone has tampered with my accounts. They are "deleted" completely.

I used to love this app. I could archive my old items without any issues and now that function doesn't work. Every time I try to enter a transaction it opens my web browser without me even touching an ad and won't let me enter my transaction at all without all those pop ups

Loved this program, it imports, it exports, it's simple to use, but now it has an ad that opens your browser without clicking on it and takes you to a site with pop ups that say your phone is infected.

Every time I try to open this app it goes online top a "claim your prize by taking advantage of one of these offers" pages.

I have used this app for almost a year and LOVED it, but all of the sudden I lost everything. I went in and started all over, and now every time I open it it throws me to pop-up ads saying my phone is infected :( so sad I am going to have to see if there is another app I can try and uninstall this one

Revised-pop ups and redirects are very annoying. Make sure to export( backup ) once a week. A lot easier to restore if you somehow lose a few months entries.

Since the update my register has been all messed up. I had to delete my old acct (lost a yes worth of data) and start over now the new acct won't save. I'm deleting the whole app & going with something else.

I have tried virtually every checkbook app in the play store..free and otherwise. If you want a checkbook app that looks like your register..this is the one. Search function is great, now it syncs with Google Drive. Great app! Gary no longer answers email. If you have an issue...too bad. I had one way back. He answered quickly and solved problem. Recently I had an issue on a new device....no response. I am so tired of developers not answering. I'll gladly pay for the apps for a little support.

When I first installed this I absolutely loved it. Super easy to use. However, now for some reason anytime I touch any box to input data I have to deal with pop up ads. I understand and didn't mind the ads at the top of the page that would obviously open if I touched them but now ads open all the time no matter what I do. It's invasive and annoying.

I noticed all the great reviews and decided that since this is the free version I would try it before paying. however when I upload the account name and enter my password it says incorrect I've uploaded 3 different names and it still says incorrect when I enter my password what gives. I'm going to give it one more try before I completely uninstall this app. I uninstalled and reinstalled this app attempted to enter and save transaction its still saying password incorrect.

Best checkbook app out there. I have tried them all. Free and otherwise. Now it syncs with Google drive..Great app! Unfortunately Gary no longer answers email. If you have an issue....too bad. I am really tired of developers that do not support their app. I would gladly pay for the app to get a little support!

It just erased everything I had entered and made me have to force a balance in my checking account. It was great until then.

The sponsor ads in this horrible piece of crap FORCIBLY try to launch your default web browser over and over and over gain, like LITERALLY ten times in a row while you're trying to use the app, even while you're just trying to log into one of your accounts, making this piece of crap utterly unusable for several seconds at a time, and also repeats this cycle over and over and over again the whole time the app is open! I would say to Get it - but only if you WANT an app that P's you off and SUCKS!

I absolutely LOVED this app until what seems to be a new update. Every time I open the app now, after a couple of clicks (if I am lucky) it takes me to a pop up window with some ad or tracking site. is anyone else having this problem? Please fix so I don't have to delete the app!

You would not believe the number of checkbook apps I installed and uninstalled before finding this! All I wanted was a way to track my balance while including accurate automatic expense payments and income. Some had the automatic payment thing down but not the running balance. Some made it impossible to add 2 paychecks a month, some rounded the balance to the nearest $10 (why?) Some had so much other stuff you had to go through a dozen windows to reach your balance. I even tried paid apps. Thank you SO much Gary Streck for actually thinking through all of what automating a checkbook register means :-) The only thing I would add is making it possible to tap the icon once and see your balance. My phone is password protected so I don't really need a password. But I'm not complaining! *UPDATE - I just found the option to turn off the password :-)

I bought this app wish I didn't spend the money. To difficult to maintain vs regular ck book

It worked good for about two days and now it wont work! What a waste of time!

Have had this app for awhile and it was great. But now after some time it's messing up on me, I've had half of my descriptions randomly deleted and now today I opened the app and an entire week of transactions is gone. It was fine last night when I put a transaction in and this afternoon it's just gone. Sorry to say, but I'll either go back to a paper register or find another app.
