DT Ignite Detect & Disable for Android
I already knew about dt ignite but was hidden in my phone and downloaded the crap-ware... this app found it and I killed it. Verizon, your starting to piss me off...
Worked for me. Uninstalled the DT ignite through ignition test app and then it immediately came back with the factory version. Then the app did a force stop without me having to do anything. The DT widget no longer appears in my application manager.
DT Ignite cost me $45 in data. Im so f'n angry. Further instructions. I went in and turned off notifications, force stopped it, uninstalled updates, cleared app data, and so on and I had to keep doing it until I installed this nifty little app. Ignite now has all zeros after app size and data size. It hopefully is permanently gone. I'll keep checking.
Required no special permission. Took me to the App in the App Manager where I could Force Stop it and Disable it.
I don't see dtignite in app manager any more. I did uninstall updates first before disabling.
I have a new Samsung S7 Edge with no extra apps installed and most of the factory bloat disabled. I woke up this morning to find 5 new apps installed: App Finder, Drop Assault, News Republic, Yahoo Mail, and Z Camera. None of those were granted any extra permissions (sure, I believe that crap)... then how were they installed without my permission? I deleted those and went hunting for the back door. This app found and disabled the hidden system app installed by VZW. Well done! We'll see how long it lasts.
Does the job. For those who complains, of course it doesn't uninstall it, what did you expect? And SHAME ON YOU Verizon!
Been disabled since the day I bought this crap s6 app just wastes data to download does nothing, I guess it's the thought that counts
Damn carriers especially Verizon stop messing around installing data hogging crap before I go to Google Project Fi.
Data was being used like crazy and I saw DT ignite used almost 1gb on its own!! Deleted it thanks to you so hopefully I wont use as much data and my phone will run faster.
By removing it! Plain Awesome. Works well on Droid Turbo 2 running Marshmallow.
As far as I can tell, this app does nothing because all it does is turn off DT Ignite; it does not uninstall it. Anyone can turn off DT Ignite through Application Manager, without the need for this app.
Tremendously useful app, but truly a shame it even has to exist to stop unwanted fecal matter from being installed on your phone unknowingly by your over ambitious cell provider
DT ignite was not showing in my application manager so I couldn't disable it before. but now I can. finally!!!
It doesn't show anything, all it does is to tell me to.give my carrier a cookie
Helped me disable the bloatware mothership that is dt ignite. 10/10
Disabled DT Ignite, plain and simple. Hopefully this doesn't turn out to be a Trojan itself, but as of right now, 5/5.
Shameful thieves at Verizon can be disabled by this wonderful app
Thanks!
This app does exactly what it claims to do. Thank you to the creator.
Tested clean.
I'd pay for this app as much as u saved me... And for all the idiots giving the devs a one star. It says Detect & Disable NOT Detect & Uninstall. Get some common sense...

I regularly scan my phone for viruses, etc., but somehow this was overlooked?!? It's fixed now!
...to do what I was already doing. Doesn't automate anything. You still have to manually disable, just saves you a click or two, so I'll probably uninstall. Good if you don't know how, I guess.
Thank you T-mobile for not putting this crap on my phone
Don't just get it to find out if you've got the 'ware. But it's handy to check if it's come back.

It's about time, a app that does exactly(EXACTLY) what it says and no unnecessary permissions. Å+ to the devs. Galaxy s6 Edge+
Anyone who knows how to disable downloaded or running apps can do the same thing as this app, but to take the guesswork out this app is really convenient. Also those challenged friends saying it doesn't Uninstall DT ignite it's because YOU CAN'T UNINSTALL IT WITHOUT BEING ROOTED- All you need to do is disable it. Personally it chewed through 250mb of my data in 7 days so good riddance. Running galaxy Note 4 with lollipop.
Adware removal? No, it just says "infected" wtf
Wow. Are you'll that serious dumb? This app only disables Ignite. It can't get rid of it. That's the point, this app can't be uninstalled because your not on a rooted phone. You can only disable it, but hat option was taken out too. This will at least disable it. Not to hard to understand, but then I guess that a problem for you low information people. Jezz.
I'm clean yeah!
Settings>applications>application manager>dt ignite disable it Uninstall updates done. This app just takes u to that page
The day after I got my new S6, I discovered DT Ignite had background sucked 10 percent off my cellular data plan overnight!!!
Disabling the dt ignite helped stop the annoying app from working. note 4.
Thank you
Doesn't do anything but find DT IGNITE on the system, then take you to the Application menu to disable it. Does nothing that you can't do through Settings on your phone.
The description is misleading. Dt ignite is bloatware from the phone hardware manufacturer, not by the wireless carriers. If you get new phone, and go over your data limit because of Dt ignite, first disable dt ignite, then ask for a credit from your carrier.

Re: 11/4/2016 new Verizon branded STYL02 model Android/Marshmallow (OS) phone. Fantastically happy we found this program while searching to determine what "DT Ignite" *is* much less knew that DTI is pre-installed by Verizon (or that DTI is reportedly "bloatware" that gives hidden install & other **data & battery sucking powers** to Verizon (&who knows who else!) THANK YOU!! 10 stars!
