About ShaderToy

A simple tool for developers that lets you edit OpenGL ES shaders directly on your Android device.

Inspired by Inigo Quilez's ShaderToy, and includes some of his shaders:

Hardware keyboard recommended.

NOTE: this is quite an old app - to get the menu up on modern phones you need to do a long press on the back button!

It displays a default shader and that'd it. No buttons appear and the apps functions are not accessible.

Only thing lacking is a better editor than stock text area, but it's just the app I need to learn more GLSL .

K70%

The default shader appeared, but there were no buttons and no way to intereact with the program at all. Am I missing something obvious? Samsung SM G900V running Android 4.4.4.

N70%
by N####:

Would be amazing I am sure. Unfortunately no buttons are appearing on my samsung note 4. The demo shader appears though.

Awesome app... Would be 5 stars if the error log wasn't always blank and it had a fps counter.

W70%
by W####:

Sure it would be great otherwise :)

Good interface, and a great feature to save/load shaders! I only wish it could tap into the website to display any other shader - many smartphones don't have WebGL

Write shaders on the go! Awesome! Any plans to add a way to import custom meshes or maybe add some built-in meshes for testing some shaders? A, FPS counter could be really awesome! Great job with this app! Where can I donate?

N70%
by N####:

Works perfect! Would it be possible to have a touchinput varying?

N70%
by N####:

Selecting Droid with Quad on TF101 reboots the device!

It would be nice if it could also show the frame rate, and have some sort of failsafe that stopped trying to render if the FPS drops too low (the bug droid in high res locked up my device). Thanks for a great app!

This is one of the best tools I've seen.
