سوره علق

سوره علق اولین سوره‌ای است که بر پیامبر اسلام نازل شده‌است. این سوره در مکه نازل شده و دارای ۱۹ آیه است. کلمه علق به معنی خون بسته، زالو و کرم است. همچنین در قرآن از واژه علق به عنوان یکی از مراحل تکوین جنین یاد شده‌است. این سوره جزو ۴ سوره‌ای است که در آن آیه سجده واجب وجود دارد.

این سوره به مناسبت تعبیرهای مختلفی که در آغاز آن است به نام سوره «علق»، «اقرا»، «قلم» نامیده شده‌است.

در اين سوره رسول خدا (صلى اللّه عليه و آله و سلم) را امر مى كند به اينكه قرآن را كه به وحى خدا نازل مى شود تلقى كند. و اين سوره اولين سوره اى است كه از قرآن نازل شده، و سياق آياتش آنچنان به هم ارتباط دارد كه بتوان گفت يكباره نازل شده، و به زودى بدان اشاره خواهيم كرد، و اين سوره به طور قطع در مكه نازل شده است.
