Melihat potensi yang besar yang dimiliki oleh petugas baca meter dalam proses akuisisi data sekaligus memvalidasi posisi pelanggan, selayaknya proses tersebut dapat didayagunakan secara optimal untuk berbagai kepentingan yang terkait dengan keberhasilan pengelolaan piutang pelanggan. Melihat aspek strategis pada aktifitas pembacaan meter, diperlukan sebuah Infrastruktur Sistem Informasi yang dapat mengakomodasi proses bisnis pembacaan meter sekaligus menjembatani aspek lain yang dapat ditopang oleh data – data hasil pembacaan.

dibangun dengan platform teknologi yang Up to Date, sistem ini beroperasi secara online dan bertumpu pada integrasi data ke Pusat Data Baca Meter di kantor Wilayah PLN. dengan model ini akan memberikan manfaat yang lebih besar dibandingkan dengan data yang terdistribusi ke beberapa titik penyimpanan data.

2. Kompatible dan Mengakomodasi beberapa metode pembacaan
Berdasarkan adanya tahapan migrasi sistem pembacaan di beberapa daerah dalam waktu yang tidak bersamaan, sistem ini mengakomodasi dengan adanya fitur pembacaan manual, digital camera dengan GPS atau dengan HandPhone berbasis Android.

3. Aktifitas Pembacaan beserta Progres dapat di monitor oleh semua stake holder
Sistem ini menyediakan Aplikasi Berbasis Web untuk semua stake holder untuk melakukan monitoring, koreksi atau hal – hal lain yang terkait dengan aktifitas Baca Meter.

Kehadiran petugas baca meter dilokasi pembacaan menjadi salah satu data yang disimpan oleh sistem sehingga validitas data dapat dipertanggung jawabkan sekaligus dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai pemetaan lokasi pelanggan.

3. Pembaruan Route Baca Meter
Petugas baca meter adalah orang pertama yang mengetahui kondisi lapangan yang secara alami akan melakukan kegiatan yang mempermudah proses pembacaan. Sistem akan mencatat urutan pembacaan berdasar waktu baca sehingga memungkinkan diadakan pembaruan Rute Baca Meter secara periodik dari waktu ke waktu.
