I like the flash card and voice prompts, ability to replay and favorite words. This will help with basic words and give you an idea how to say a few important things in Japanese. I am personally embarrassed when I speak Japanese, gotta try sometime, just always try to be polite, someone will help and figure out what you are trying to say. This even have the words in Japanese, just show it.

Fantastic app, makes learning Nihon-go an absolute breeze. With plenty of useful features, fun methods of revision, all the basics and more are pretty much covered. I tried a few others, but in regards to speaking the language, this is probably the best one I've downloaded. Just a heads up, it isn't free, if you want full access I believe it's a one time payment of £5 or something, but if you want a quality app to learn how to speak Nihon-go with no ads, well, good luck finding one for free.

I really love this app! The premium is worth the 5 dollars as it's more complete. I love the pictures, I love that at the begginer level they have Romanji, I just started using it and I'm hooked!

If you want to learn Japanese out of the plethora of things available (of which I've tried a lot) this is actually really helpful and easy to Use. You can also make and mark progress. worth the upgrade super helpful! With this app you won't need more than a dictionary and practise. Thanks guys !!!

Personally I think some of the other vocabulary apps teach you lots of unusual words that you are unlikely to use in your everyday life, but this app seems provide more of the words I would want to learn. Also, the having romaji available as an option for all of the words makes this app ideal for beginners who have yet to master the kana. Could always be improved by adding more words.
