Silent phone crashes on launch with S8. Faq says to uninstall/reinstall. Reinstalling does not bring back silent text app as no longer included or supported and does not fix silent phone. Support seems to be working on it.

Why the hell can I not sign up or pay for your app 'service' with a green dot 'prepaid' card?!? My weekly paycheck goes in my account just like anyone else with direct deposit. Probably quicker. That sucks

X70%
by X####:

Very good

This app does not work with Android Nougat 7.1. It will not run in the background and shuts down causing the app to go offline and you will not receive calls or messages. It works fine on android lollipop. But if your using anything newer don't bother save your 10 dollars a month because it just doesn't work as advertised.

Latest update disabled dark theme. Bring it back and I'll change my review to 5*!

No longer shows notifications on Nougart 7.1 and Blackberry Keyone

Can't use my prepaid card anymore.. That's sucks because you guys are asking for visa when it's connected to bank.. That's not safe..

O70%
by O####:

Use this app and you go to jail. what kind of anonymous you are when you must allow your location to be able to take a picture. and they got much more security issues. I'll be back!

I bought the black phone 2 and im having issues but can get ZERO customer support on the phone or this app, hundreds of dollars wasted.. I feel cheated

X70%
by X####:

Buy a blackphone 2 and have silent phone for comms. Its that simple everyone should be buying there products and services. Keep making sure we are secure guys thanks

This is another UNMENTIONED HIDDEN FEES - Hooks ya w/everything but the TRUTH. If your going to be THIS DECEPTIVE about an outright thing - such as simple as cost... ! WHAT ELSE SHOULD WE BE LOOKING FOR DOWN THE LINE? (Leaks of my info, or better yet my conversations)? THIS KIND OF DECEPTION IS A SALES GIMMIK/METHOD, & I FOR 1 DO NOT APPRECIATE WASTING MY TIME, & 4 U 2 LOSE OUR TRUST. and oh,.... Theres not even a 30 day trial geesh!

X70%

How to solve this? "Provisioning error: you must activate a service level before logging into your device"

G70%
by G####:

This App is not free right? Whenever i try to sing in it says i must complete a service first!

X70%

Im only able to make phone calls... How do I access all the rest? Ive been paying for sometime now for it and I knew it sent texts but could never figure out how but now I see ive been missing oit on a whole lot. Mine doesnt even look like the one upabove??

Not recommended. Signed up for it, purchased a subscription, and spent an hour trying to get it to work. Screen froze on "phone number selection." Reboot didn't help. If they can't handle the first step of customer acquisition, what does it say for the rest of their service?

M70%
by M####:

A very good, truly multi device privacy platform. 4 out of 5 stars as the service is slightly expensive for small businesses, given the number of free privacy apps providing similar functionality, such as Signal (Open Whisper Systems).

I'm a programmer myself and from this point of view this app has gotten worse with every update. There are clear intuitive ways to make this app simple and very functional but you guys seem to just make it worse every time there is a new update. Do you hire your programmers from wal-mart? Ill just jump through a few hoops and make my phone secure without your app. This app sucks donkey balls

Love this app. Totally secure and now i feel safer! Really happy! However i have noticed a security bug with using the application on a non blackphone that could allow an attacker to read and send messages and view all details of the account...

Pay... Just for encryption... Signal it is.

This app has worked well for me on my blackphone 2. I can use all features. Only issue I have had is the app password option. It only allows for a pin because if you set a password it will only give you a pin pad to enter the password so you are locked out of the app and need to wipe the app and start again. Hopefully silent circle fix this soon as a strong password on the app is a very important feature.

confusing

T70%

On my blackphone 2 it is horrible, it disconnects from the internet and goes off line constantly and I must re-sign in after I missed my messages and calls. Probably has to due with that ridiculous "smart wi-fi" feature on the BP2.... After wasting my money on the blackphone 2 I went back to my blackberry priv and installed the app. Needless to say it's flawless on the BLACKBERRY PRIV and str8 garbage on the Blackphone 2....

My only complaint is I don't see a way. to video call using the basic account type. That's really the only reason I established the account and there are free apps that do it, though w/no respect for my desire for privacy. Otherwise, I appreciate Silent Circle for this software. Thanks.

Did you try to use your last version! How many actions must a user do in order to make a simple Silent Phone call? Too many!!!! It is so hard to make a user optimised and effective application? Even if I have paied for an year in advanced, you make me quit using Silent Circle services because of this cumbersome application.

T70%
by T####:

I have blackphone 2 and the app worked fine at the start but after an update 4 weeks ago it has totally stopped working. A factory reset doesn't help and the login screen just spins and spins or else it leaves a black screen. I am totally unable to login and occasionally a box cites a handshake error

This app has been a source of disappointment over the couple of years I have been paying for it. It has always been buggy and unreliable. I really want to support SilentCircle because I believe that strong cryptography should be available to all. But at this point, I have lots hope that Silent Phone will every be reliable enough to be useful. Latest bugs * has trouble stating online. Seems like network transitions render it offline for a long period of time. * messages sometimes get out of sequence. The receipient gets older messages every time a new message is sent.

Have been using the app on blackphone 2 so silent circle cant complain about hardware and os. If you enable password encryption to the app it works terribly slowly.

Q70%
by Q####:

I've been a paying customer of Silent Circle from their first week of launch. Suffice to say, having kept my faith all these years, I would like them to succeed! Alas, that success has proven elusive, the app is unstable and cannot be depended on to connect you when you need it most. Its frequent technical glitches render the service someplace just above hobbyist. Worst still_ their customer care has become so unresponsive its a wonder I'm still with them.

Being a former Intelligence operator and also the owner of a cyber security company (bits&digits) I'm very critical when it comes to organizations claiming to have a *secure solution*. They have thought of everything when it comes to secure communications. From Data at Rest Encryption, Voice In Use Encryption with valid algorithms (FIPS 140.2 compliant) to its data shredding function. If your looking for C.I.A Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability in a comm solution. Alas (oh out the box HIPAA compliant)

The app is broken. I've attempted to reinstall 7 times. Also reset my service each time by reseting device settings. Each time I login it says I'm in CH Geneva but doesn't allow me to fix it. Right now it sucks! I'm a paying customer and I'm unable to use the App. I have a Note 5.

It's good security technology but draining battery life. Come on I thought that was fixed..
