검은숲은 '엘러리퀸 컬렉션'이라는 제호 아래, 엘러리 퀸의 방대한 저작을 상세히 살피고 선정한 작품들을 총 세 차례에 걸쳐 단계적으로 출간할 예정이다. 모두 정식 계약된 판본으로, '시그마 북스'라는 이름으로 기 출간된 작품들은 엘러리 퀸의 작품을 전 세계에서 처음으로 소개했던 스토크스(STOKES) 사의 판본을 통해 개정하고, 국내에 소개되지 못했던 새로운 작품도 다수 포함된다.
