About Cell Coverage Map - mobile network signal testing

Cell Coverage Map is an application for experts in cellular communication and enthusiasts that helps to create a coverage map of mobile network (GSM/UMTS/LTE) by mapping markers of a color depending on the level of the received signal at a particular location.

The application puts colored markers on a map after determining the exact location using GPS. Google Maps or OpenStreetMap can be displayed as a map.

Collected data can be exported as an image, KML or CSV file.

Crashes more than it runs, can't handle many data points and very slow even on latest devices

Once you figure out you need to change your network to 2g gsm only and have wifi scanning and your gps should only be on device sensors you get really accurate readings from signals around you thanks great app

Solid, stable app, gives useful information and map data, quite nice.

It works for me on a MotoG3 and Nexus 5. But it does not work well with lots of collected markers, for example after a long car drive, and will show a black screen and become unresponsive. The only solution then is to delete all app data. It also does not seem to detect when GSM gets wrong data, and suddenly thinks it's miles away for a moment. So you get randomly scattered markers around the actual trail. I also haven't figured out yet how I can access the saved data. Also, the app does not add markers when there is no signal at all, which does not make sense to me. There is a difference between not knowing if there is signal and knowing that there is no signal. It's sad, the app almost does what I want, but all these quirks make it almost useless for me.

This app worked when I first installed it 3 months ago but now all it does is pull up a Google map and become unresponsive. When it was working, some of the information was useful but little more than I get from the LTE Discovery app. I've visited all of the fewer than 20 cell sites in the very rural county were I live. GSM Field Test's tower location map shows at least 60 sites, certainly not usable information. The app was uninstalled!

Freezes unfreezes repeat. Needs a way of displaying list of towers with a generic name, so that you can discern which tower is doing what more easily. What is a dark blue dot?

Great app when it work but hangs too often to be usable. Pity because it has a good interface

Lg nexus 5, Android 6* Aside from a couple of minor ui improvement opportunities, this app is awesome! I recommend it to anyone who wants to map out their local cell coverage! Just make sure to be careful about how large the data collection becomes, if it's too big, the app gets sluggish, or breaks. Export your data after a few hrs of driving/collecting and then delete all. Then the app doesn't get sluggish

even with google play instaled is moving to slow.stai up to 3-4 min to hit magnify scale again.i stop walking and the map is far back.

Worked fine on Galaxy S3 android 4.3, but only seems to ever report -51 green dot on s6 android 5.1.1 :(

The app looks like it would be really useful for me, but it's to unstable.

Entering the main page ALWAYS defaults to a global map, panned back to show the entire planet. It does not remember where you were or find your location on the map. It did not display any signal strength information in North America. Even when I zoomed in to my location (manually ) no coverage data other than your current incoming signal. It is about as useful as the 5 bars your phone normally displays. Don't bother installing this app.

The application could not be opened on my T2 Xperia 4G LTE. Hang, and crashed.... In my Lenovo A706 the application it's works... does well...

I previously had this app on my Samsung S3, where it worked flawlessly. That would have earned it 5 stars from me. I recently installed it on my LG G2, and it has a habit of crashing. It freezes and consequently stops plotting data points. It now also has a banner at the bottom with streaming ads.

your recent update lost a field collection of my area that I had been collecting over the period of a couple of months. Please be aware of this in future updates - EXTREMELY frustrating..is there any way to recover that data?
