PDI Mobile Connect for Android

I needed this app for work, so I got a new phone & downloaded it. I showed up for work, found out my username & password, and tried to log in. That's as far as I got, because it said "An error occurred. Please check your internet connection". I'd made sure I was connected to the local wifi and everything! I even uninstalled and reinstalled the app, all to no avail; it still gave me the same error. (I have an LG Stylo 2 phone.) I'd LOVE to give this app a fair review, but I couldn't even use it...

The app does not download and install properly on Android, at least not mine.

This is running on my Galaxy S4, Acer Iconia A-500 and Asus Transformer 700. (It insists on running in portrait mode.) The map doesn't "follow you" using GPS, but the collected survey data records GPS coordinates. The obvious problem with canvasing on a phone/tablet is viewability in sunlight. I'm looking into a "Kindle-style" screen tablet, maybe the Kobo Glo with Android loaded, but not sure what will happen when no GPS data is available. I also have an Entourage Pocket Edge that I'll try! No matter what app we use to do canvassing, we were going to have to deal with the sun/glare issue one way or another. The benefit of this is that it loads the results into your campaign. BTW, if you have an Apple, this requires iOS7, so your gen4 iPod won't cut it. Stay tuned!
