Jamaica Observer

This updated version performs better and is more stable with little or no crashes. Not very fond of the aesthetics. Also the first few lines of the first paragraph in some articles are not displayed. This makes the report disjointed. Need to fix this.

First thanks to the Observer team for replying to the original critical review. This new version of the app is much improved on testing, and I haven't encountered any significant issues apart from a crash after I first opened the app (hadn't used it in a while I must admit). Initial loading is very slow sometimes - will be monitoring that. Sharing works great now as well.

Older version was much better. This version does not give up to date notifications. Older version always kept me current with news articles

Doesn't open on nougat. The big block of red background and text when reading an article needs to be reduced or removed to allow for more reading area. Remember it's a mobile app. Otherwise it's average.

This app does not give breaking news or news update. The original version was better.

The Main section has been showing the same food section for several days now. No lead stories in the food section.

The application continuously shows all articles having a date of Sunday March 27...not sure why

Whenever I click on the columns link, I can see the various articles but the entire app shuts down whenever I try to open an article. This needs to be fixed.

Still not updating. Not getting notifications although it's on. The Gleaner notifies me based on the settings I selected, but I have to open the Observer to get news from it. Will someone please fix the problem.

The UI is very intuitive. Menu is better laid out and more helpful than Gleaner app

Almost two days now and I can't get access to the app.

What's the sense of an update that shuts down the app?

Wanted to give it a 0 since it keeps closing after i open it

Constant crashes when changing sections. Sometimes an individual story will cause a crash and you will have to wait until it ages off the page.

After 1 year of not using and now with a new phone it's the same problem. App crashes very regular especially if you attempt to load news from the business section, try to read older news or try to access the news articels at the bottom of the list. If I could give a zero I would. Its Very irritating!

I can understand needing access to my WiFi connection info but NOT understanding why a newspaper app needs access to Calendar, Location, Photos/Media/Files, Camera and microphone. It's like u plan to spy on ur readers. I installed it to get the Clovis toons but not liking the format. Need to be able to view the toons full screen and share the pics of the toons themselves - not the link to the toons. Disappointed and very suspicious of the app. Will quickly uninstall.

I am having a difficult time to read or even to see the Clovis Cartoon using the mobile app. Please update the app so that the Editorial Cartoon can be seen without a magnifying glass. Notwithstanding I love how the articles transition smoothly throughout the app.

The latest update is not working for me.. now all pics look stretched out and ugly...

Needs fixing...constantly uninstalling & reinstalling just to be able to read the news...open app to a headline without a story....smh.

I regret updating because the app hasn't worked since, the minute I open a story, it automatically closes!
