Turn your Android phone into a heart pulse monitor by using the camera to detect subtle changes in the opacity of your finger as your heart beats. The graph of your heart beat is displayed in real time, and is used to calculate the BPM (Beats per minute) of your heart rate. Monitoring your pulse has never been so easy, accessible, and accurate.
To use:
- place your finger over the camera,
- keep your hand still,
- wait at-least 6 seconds for an accurate reading.

No ads, insanely tiny, works without the flash. Couldn't ask for more! :) Be sure to find a position that you can hold perfectly still: it is extremely sensitive to movement (and this is by design of course).

It's ok but it doesn't do much......it checks your pulse and as soon as u take your finger of the camera...well...it stops and that's it...

I like very much the ascetic interface - nothing unnecessary, but very informative display showing intensity signal. Unfortunately, at least for my phone (Philips Xenium W632) it gives totally wrong values - something around 120-150 while actual is around 60 bpm. I will be waiting for new versions!

Too many problems to waste space on this app. When it actually runs it reports that it is too dark to read pulse and recommends turning on flashlight. Then it reports that no flashlight is available (every other similar program that I've tried has no problem using the flash automatically - this one can't even find it manually). Most times attempting to run it results in the message that the app has stopped. On the very rare occasion that it does actually get a reading it is wildly inaccurate. Uninstalled.

The app couldn't control the light on my Samsung S3,and the interface is a little uninspired, but it didn't request any mystery permissions, and it measured my pulse just fine with ambient light. So, give it a shot.

I suspect the results you get are proportional to the quality of phone camera and how steady you keep your finger on it. On my galaxy s3 even in a modestly lit room the results are excellent.
