SideloadVR for GearVR

Mostly I like the oculus home interface and the cardboard apps but is there a way to use this app to "import" existing cardboard apps into the oculus home? Can one "re-sign" existing apk files so the gear vr sees it as a oculus app? All the current available apps dont quite have the feel and polish of oculus home. I want to be able to play CB apps from the Oculus home app. Is there a way to do this? That will be the ultimate solution. And worth paying for I might add! Thanks.

This is a necessity for Gear VR owners. There are some really cool games(all free) on here that are original (Tetris style gameplay with a vr twist ) and some ports of familiar games (Doom and Quake) It's very easy to set up and downlpoad the apks, it's all done through the app. This is a necessity are a few things that I hope to see improved: 1) don't bring me back to the top of the list after i back out of the apk page. 2) need better descriptions and more pics of apks 3) need more content!

This app worked very well under Android 6, but using the beta of Android 7 it cannot find the device ID - and even when provided with the device ID on both of the web pages, the app cannot associate my device with the uploaded signature because the app itself cannot identify my device ID. If there was a way to manually enter device ID, or a fix for Nougat users, this would easily be a five star app. It's really an essential for any Gear VR user - as long as that user is using Android 6.

Can't get pass the signature set up so can't review it. Copied and pasted the device ID and download the file in step one and two of the set up. But when I try to up load the file in step three it says "The selected file dies not appear to be a valid signature file" so can't progress any further. This is on a Samsung S6 Edge.

I've used it before and it worked great but in android 7.0 on the galaxy beta program it can't seem to find my device id. Even when I hope it up to adb and get it that way and generate an osig the app says that it failed

I've been having sideloadvr a while and it was working really good then today I noticed it say it couldn't find osig file. I uninstalled / reinstalled . Tried to upload osig again but says server offline.. pls help!

Most annoying feature is the app market list; it always resets to the top, making you scroll down a lot more often than necessary. As more apps are added this will only become more annoying. ___ The blurb for SideloadVR doesn't list S7 or S7-Edge as compatible, but my S7 and I am very happy. Try "DGVR" (Doom for GearVR), "Quake GVR", "Islands in the Sky", and "YouTube Cinema". ___ Also recommend the app "CB enabler for GearVR" - worth every penny.

Same problem with these apps as I'm having with oculus. I don't have a gear vr to plug it into so I can't load it. So I can't make it believe I'm a developer. So I can't use the apps...it's a viscous circle. And can't get the app developer to respond to my emails.

Used to work on marshmallow. But on nougat, firstly doesn't find the device id. Even when I put device id finding it with a third party app, and upload sig file both on app and desktop browser, yet doesn't recognise the signature. It's a fail. Please fix. Using nougat on galaxy s7 Edge.

Set up super easy. Site refreshes so hard to scroll through without jumping to top. But noticed no s7e support. Is this why i cannot view any apps i dl'd?

Im on s7 edge. Did all the setup steps but still cant load app market screen. App crashes after 4-5mins of waiting. Kindly advice.

Well - I wish i could say i like it or i hate it, but i'm apparently too stupid to use it. galaxy s7 android 6.00.1, gear vr: 'install' an app through sideload - where does it go? it's not on the criminally ridiculous (opinion) samsung vr screen, i can't find anything leading me to it. i've installed 4-5 apps, all claim success, and all have disappeared. help...?

Previously worked great on my s7 edge but since last update install off apps keeps failing, I have unknown sources enabled as always but it keeps saying install failed please fix

A search bar, and a way to import from cardboard games from the play store. Because one of my sensors in my phone is broken so I can only use vr through the gear, can't use cardboard enabler

Says signature uploaded. Found it in my documents after about 10 attempts to upload it eventually said uploaded successfully. OK then...go to verify..says something went wrong unable to verify ur signature...if course that would happen nothing is simple.

I downloaded an app from this called pony viewer and my norton Anti-virus on my phone said it have malware im a bit worried can someone or the creator plz reassure me that it doesn't have any malware. Edit. I downloaded a few other app from sideloadVR and Anti-virus said thay all had malware

Am using s7 edge and android 6.0.1. Everything seems to be working fine, remember to allow install from unknown sources in settings or install will be blocked. You will get security warnings from your phone about identity and details theft, standard stuff, just choose install anyway and away you go...thanks devs, a great app for Gear VR users.

This app appears to be be fine but when I attempt to install something within it my knox brings up security warnings! Those warnings won't disappear until I delete them! S7

Does not work with Android 7.0, I am running the official version on my Galaxy S7 and it can't recognise the osig during setup and when I do so manually through a PC adb and get the Oculus file still it cannot verify the signature. Very disappointed with this. :( I hope you are able to fix it in the future then I can increase this to 5 stars. It seems like a fantastic marketplace for apps and would love to try vridge through it but unfortunately this issue makes it literally unusable.

Says my apk file needs permission of verification even when I followed the instructions. Says this on both apps I downloaded and installed. I have an S7 Edge. Contacted support and no reply...

Thank you for making this app available. Occasionally the servers will be down, but when it works you can load non official Oculus apps onto the phone. I still support running an ad version of this app to support your efforts 100%. I don't mind looking at ads if it means the experience is more stable and more reliable.

I tried to put my device id to get the OSIG file. But it only says "Whoops! It seems you’re lost. Let’s get you back home."I repeat the proces but nothing works. Please do something about it. Thank you

I spent two hours trying to get a single app downloaded from SideloadVR to open. When clicked on, every app downloaded does absolutely nothing, at all. I uploaded my osig multiple times, multiple ways. I hope the author can help figure out why the app does this. Would consider changing review if fixed!

installs sure.. but can't finish downloading anything within their store... guessing they don't have enough bandwidth. I have tried 20+ times of various titles and they all get 2%-17% or so then simply time out and freeze.

Got the official 7.0 update on my s7 edge but this still doesn't work. Please fix

App doesn't show device ID or allow me to setup OSIG manually with device ID found thru ADB. Never tried before getting on the beta update.

Alert!!! Some of the side loader apks like S.P.Y Robot have identity hijacking virus malware my ips provider detected the hijacking malware virus inside the APK file virus known as 0.1.102_5.1.1f1 was caught trying to send my credit card and Banking and online account information to an unknown source and was trying to use my system to send out malware, was traced to SpyRobot.apk as it was trying to duplicate my system files,I had to flash my device to to completely remove ,if you installed this apk please do the same for your own safety,Dev please scan these apk you may already be infected.

This app worked two or three times. Now the screen goes black. I've tried re-installing everything on my phone and it still wont work. Very disappointed. Its the only way my Lovense toy would sync with the movies and now it doesn't.

For everyone wondering why they can't get past the signature then check if your phone actually WORKS with the app.. Very first line in the description

I keep trying to upload the device osig.bin file but I keep getting a page that tells me the "upload failed, please enter device id and try again" please help.

Can't install. Step 1 and 2 work, but tells me invalid file in step 3. The file name gets changed on import and there is no way to edit it.

I dont get it, does it mean I have to pay 400 a month if im not a patreon?

There are not a lot of apps here. And no updates of list coming.

It requires that I generate, then upload a signature file but when I upload it just shows a blank page.

This was working well. Now when I start it it says "SideloadVR Server Down." Please may I have some support please!
