Trying to sync my phone (LG G3) to my PC music folder via this app is unbelievably slow - over 2 days! Just analysing takes almost 2 hours!! This app also flattens the phone's battery very quickly. Why my phone just can't connect directly via a USB cable, I don't know. Goodsync works fine with my PC - NAS drive on my home network and with hard drives plugged directly into my PC via USB.

I've recently started having trouble staying connected to my external SD card on android 6.0.1. I've allowed access to the extent SD card, but still frequently disconnects on Goodsync 10. This used to be my favorite sync app for android but looking for an alternative.

Used to be fantastic and im a big fan of goodsync on other platforms but this app is as much use as a chocolate tea pot. Constant errors, slow, always losing write permissions. Such a let down.

This works fabulously with 2 exceptions. It crashes randomly and each time the program is started it doesn't remember the "writable folder" selection. Once started and writable folder is set files backup or synchronize perfectly, until it crashes. These crashes happen on the Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S7 Edge, and Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 (with Resurrection Remix 5.7.1)

DANGER DO NOT UPGRADE WITHOUT READING THID FIRST! I am so sick of this program and its companion RoboForm that I could scream. I've used both of these many years and find that they've gotten worse and worse. Goodsync 10 is an absolute POS. and can only be used on one computer. In activation of their current version 10, they used us, version 9 users as guinea pigs for development of their new version and then took away the MTTP potion in the old version 9. Their competitors have much better products. For example now Goodsync does not have the capability to know which is a modified program versus which is recently copied over. It is absolutely worthless. Many better alternatives now. UNINSTALLED.

Only works with PC Goodsync, isn't a stand alone sync/backup app. Occasionally crashes. Can't access SD card since my phone isn't Rooted. Fix the Root Access problem and I would be very happy.

This is the third time a pc update has caused me major headaches. Phone app can no longer connect

After couple of months of using it on my android device and couple of PC in home network I noticed some issues. Application while still running sometimes loses connection with network without any obvious reason which is quite annoying. Server manually has to be restarted and synchronization process as well. Sometimes application closes itself and breaks sync process. Every time SD card must be pointed out for application otherwise it cannot see it and yet cannot synchronize with external SD card. Apparently file change monitoring does not work, no matter how many files are changed/deleted on android device no action is taken on desktop to initiate synchronization process. My initial grade was 5 stars but it dropped to 3 because of mentioned above. I believe work is still in progress and hopefully all these annoying issues will be addressed soon. I really hope so. It would be shame if this application did not match desktop version in reliability :-(

Goodsync should make clear in their advertising that their program will only function properly with Lollipop and your phone's SD Card if your phone is rooted.

Working on lollipop again! Updated my device to the newest 5.0.1 firmware and now everything is working again with Ext SD Card Sync! UPDATE: I have found to get this program to work after an update of the Android OS an unroot is required, followed by a factory reset (remember to backup all data before reset)! Reroot and then apply the SDFIX for kitkat and lollipop. When inside goodsync program pick writable folder and Ext SD Card should be in the list again!

even with the option "minimize network exchange" this app uses way to many battery power just sitting in the background. it's around 30% this needs to be addressed.

Can't write to an external SD card on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2! Although there are instructions on their support page on how to make a SD card writable for Android 5, it doesn't seem to work. Email support is also below standard. Even after explaining what the problem was, and sending them all my logs, they just kept repeating that it seems like the SD card is not recognized as a writable device. Which is only stating the obvious, and nowhere near helping me find a solution. On a side note, the SD card is fully functional and writable for all other apps on the tablet.

Can read and analyse external microsd card OK, but cannot write to it. I tried 'pick writable folder' for the external microsd via the app's menu, but still no good. LG G3 running Android 5.0.

I see Multiple folders under Home, Good sync software display 3 folders under Home "SDCard1", "SDCard3","SDCard_A5" Where Both "SDCard3""SDCard_A5" seems to be my external SD card. Once I select "Pick Writeble folder" and Select SD card "0000-0000" In External Card on phone. I can not sync by selecting either of them - ERROR: Cannot delete destination file: server said: cannot delete file /storage/extSdCard/All mixed.mp3: Permission denied (error 13) or - ERROR: Cannot delete destination file: server said: Can not delete file

This is the second time an update has caused me major headaches. Now Goodsync does not see any of my ad card contents or folders and tries to erase the ones on my phone when it sees the older synced folder on my pc. It's not my phone not sd card either, it is the same with my phone and my wife's phone S5 and S4 and we both can still read and see the sd card contents, Goodsync can't.

I just synched with my S3 and Samsung 10 inch tablet. So simple and it even got to the elusive extsd cards. At last a simple reliable method. Used and paid for Good sync for years on PCs to backup music and photos. Never failed. I have tried other (free) products but always go back for GS. Roboform is from the same company and that is wonderful too. It cannot replace Isyncr for iTunes playlists so that stays as well.

Over LAN transfers faster than traditional SMB style sharing. Is there any chance of adding Goodsync Android client in the future? Oh how I'd love that!

T70%

This app is great, as is the desktop software. I run it on three computers and consider it the best money i ever spent on software. One issue is that in Kitkat, writing to an external microsd card is no longer allowed. You need root to re-enable it. In Lollipop there's a new api to allow apps access, so this app will have to update to use that. Kitkat users can only sync to internal storage unless rooted.
