SHOWTIME for Android
We got this for watching twin peaks. It worked fine until today. Yesterday we were charged the monthly fee. Today it no longer works. I've paid $11 for a month of error message. My customer service experience today drove me to tears. It involved two phones, help chat, multiple emails, and a big chunk of my time. The final advice I was given before the help chat was lost was uninstall & reinstall. That was the first thing I did before contacting customer service! They said it would take 24 hrs to get to me.
It was working fine until I was charged my monthly fee. Now it doesn't work. I cannot get on the website either. Help chat couldn't help. They said they reported it. I hope it starts working again.
Can I order pay per view events on the app? Like the Connor McGregor vs mayweather fight

Great shows on here to watch, but watching them on my Chromecast is so glichy I don't ever see myself subscribing full time until it's fixed. The menus turn unresponsive sometimes and I have to quit out manually to do anything else. Meanwhile Netflix works every single time I use it, is cheaper, better Google home integration and the user experience is 10 x better.
This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever had to deal with. SHOWTIME tricks it's customers into signing up for the "FREE TRIAL" and gives no proper notice that charges are being applied. It's really no way to do business. It's quite shameful. I will never deal with SHOWTIME again. And advice anyone who would be interested in purchasing from SHOWTIME not to deal with this company ever.
Honestly, I just signed up for Twin Peaks...BUT Dexter, Californiation and a few other favorites are available. I've also watched trailers for some new shows to check out too. This app is awesome for my Google Chrome device. No complaints. I'll be sticking around!
The app doesn't learn what you want or make it easy to pick up where you left off. It offers select content on the front page and hides what you were doing last - 10 steps is too many to resume an interrupted binge, which is strange for a binge delivery system... Glitchy with Chromecast
This is very unstable for something we have to pay for. Crashes constantly. Once you cast it to chromecast you can no longer browse for movies with out it freezing up. Possibly won't ever see it fixed. I don't want to pay for another month just to hope it's fixed. Thought maybe this would be better than Netflix.
I like that it has shows I enjoy watching and no commercials but when Im watching it doesn't matter if Im watching on my phone or TV it just constantly freezes and sometimes it turns off on its own. No it doesn't need trouble shooting. You guys need to update your application.
Showtime has a number of great shows that everyone can enjoy but that doesn't matter because the app is unusable. The when using a chromecast the app frequent freezes and requires a manual reconnect. Such a simple and important feature and showtime completely drops the ball.
Free Trial Is A Lie. Showtime Suck's Big Time. They Should Act Like They Have Class. Starz & HBO & Amazon Prime Video & The WWE Network Are A Lot Better Than The Showtime Joker Network. I Think Showtime Is Ran By Joker's & Clown's. Movie's Are Outdated. Showtime If You Offer A Free Trial Give It To Us & Don't Cheat Us. We Hate Showtime. Showtime Suck's. Showtime Please Stop Liying About Your Free Trial. You Know That The Free Trial Is A Big Fat Lie.
Guys, subscription price is good but all the stuff only in Standard Quality? Am I wrong? I'm not asking Full HD (1080p) on my smartphone, but how about HD (720p)? Didn't find anything about preferences of choosing HD video quality in settings.
Why can't large companies get this right? Tried the free trial....4 hours in and there's NO WAY I would ever pay for this. Doesn't work on my tablets, wants me to install flash on my laptops and is a nightmare to watch on my phone. Netflix, HBO, Hulu, all work acceptable on all those devices. Offer a free trial when you've got a service to be proud of and people will like it...this is embarrassing for whatever CEO gave the go-ahead on this. They want you to install Adobe Flash in 2017 with all its known security issues...no thanks
The shows are great but the app needs some work done I've never been able to move easily from one episode on to another. There's a good feature to watch new episodes but if you're watching a show that is 6 seasons in there is no easy way to go on the next episode after starting up the app
unfortunately the app was written only for phones or tablets. an android device connected by a LAN cable cant be used because the app checks for a cell service provider or wifi and if neither are present it believes there is no internet and shuts down the player.
Will not cast to Samsung smart tv. Should get simple casting features especially for $11. Youtube does it for free...Decent movie selection. Less high quality tv than Netflix/HBO.
constant player errors, have to restart videos every 20 to 30 seconds. seems like a great start but very glitchy. What video player is being used
App has a lot of problems. When done watching a movie you can't get out of it to chose another one. UI and just how it's set up isn't done right its a mess. Hope they do a complete rewrite of this app. When you go to tap on a new movie to watch it won't unload the one you just finished watching and replace it with the new one your trying to watch. Because of this you get an error saying you have used up your three simultaneous streaming and won't let you watch it to you exit totally out of the app and go back in. It's a mess.
Stupid and obnoxious that I have to disconnect the app from Chromecast, and then reconnect it, in order to watch more than one episode or movie. Poorly written application. Awaiting a solid update to fix this and other issues.
Great for watching a movie or one episode of something via Chromecast but haven't been able to watch sequential episodes seamlessly one single time. Have to continually disconnect and reconnect Chromecast to keep watching. And that's no way to pick up where you left off in a show. There's no 'Next Episode' feature or button.
I am having problems with the Chromecast support with this app. Shows are stopping, and the connection is just wonky in general. HBOs app works much more consistently. I love your content, improve your app

Unfortunately whenever I pause I program that I'm Chromecasting through the app itself it only pauses what's on the TV and keeps going on the device making it a process of figuring out where I left off and trying not to expose myself to Twin Peaks spoilers. Otherwise pretty solid app.
