Showmax - Watch TV shows and movies

Just throws errors when I try to play any material. Tried for the first time and the experience is very bad. The app seems to be one big web view with the basic functionality not working. Apply yourself!

App stops working before I get to see anything. Frustrating and annoying...have tried uninstalling and reinstalling... Waste of time. Big thumbs down

App is horrible. Tv app crashes. Android app doesn't work properly. No PS4 app yet. Absolutely terrible. Only good thing about app is content that is not viewable!

I have uninstalling and deactivated my subscription less than 2 days after installing it. Between then and now, I have not been able to stream ANY content on Showmax. Nothing! Useless app. Content does not load on my 50/50mbps fibre line. App crashes on both my Samsung and JVC TV. App crashes on both my Samsung Note 5 and S8+ phones. Totally useless to me.

App does not open just crashes. I have reset my phone and same thing.

i had a beautiful 1st 3 weeks then today it just stopped working iv been trying for 2hrs now but it keeps showing that loading circle. i have rebooted my phone and uninstalled the app then reinstalled it again. still no change. help me i need to watch my series from home. i dont live in africa anymore. I installed it in New zealand and i have not moved since. my billing is in new zealand

Really guys ? I can't cast onto my smart tv ? I think netflix kicks your bum on this point. Pick up the slack.

You give free trials option yet access is denied! Very wrong

This app doesnt work errors on the phone doesnt allow you to play anything.On android Tv it doesnt allow you to sign it I have 3 months subscription I cant use, disappointed

I download in high quality so its very annoying when the episode says "retry" and when i select retry it says "in transition ". Now to waste more cap and stream the episodes !! Not cool!!

Have downloaded it and the first one was telling me no content found and I deleted it and the second one refused to sign up Pathetic app...disappointed

Suddenly stopped working. Downloading update now, hope it will be fine after the update from playstore. Really loved the other version that was pre-installed on my other TV. You had the option to go to Kyk-net directly. Now it is taking forever to search for what I want to watch. After download, get server not responding message :(. Worked fine since November 2016 till now :(

Downloaded the app just over a month and half ago, everything worked perfectly fine until the 2nd payment went off and it was all downhill from there. There customer service representatives were unable to provide support and nor can they give a refund. Kindly also take note that not all streaming devices support Showmax.

Absolutely awful, videos take forever to load or not at all with an error message after a few minutes. I definitely won't be signing up after the trial period. For a paid service it leaves a lot to be desired. Just get Netflix instead

Keeps showing error "Transition not allowed" and "Verification failed" for downloaded content. For streaming just shows rotating circle. Very annoying and a huge waste of time. Netflix works perfectly on the same device.

Nice app. But I was wondering if there was a way to reduce video quality due to data consumption especially to those on cellular networks.

Please add the option to view full screen. I cant view full screen on my 10 inch tablet and when I cast to my smart TV its half the TV but my Samsung S7 does not have that problem. Thank you.

It is not working on my jvc smart tv if I want to play anything all I get is a black s reen with a rotating circle

I'm so disappointed, Season 4 of Younger keeps giving me error message. Error1,-1004. Now my data is gone, do I get a refund.

Worked well for two days then just hanged on the "recently played" and the videos there aren't even available

Every time I download it gives me an error message "transition not allowed". Get Netflix instead.

After 2GB worth of data usage, downloads ALL said "verification error".

It suddenly says "Showmax stopped", & it's not opening

Hate it every time I try to play or download a movie it tells me to sign up/in I do it then it says the email address is invalid or it already exists

App doesn't work at all when loading a video it tells you to sign up when u go to the sign up page it tell us show max ain't available in your country

this app keeps telling me that that it has stopped working and other times that I have other working accounts otherwise it is not playing any movie

Awesome app! Great for when i am traveling and want to take my shows with me. Huge amount of content to watch too.

Honestly my experience with this app has been terrible, it keeps telling me that the max devices has been reached meanwhile I've connected 3 devices... and everytime i have to remove one of the 3 devices... apperantly i have 16 changes left.. definitely cancelling my subscription if this doesn't get fixed soon.

New to Showmax and whatever we're watching continually buffers and then stops. Says our internet connection is down - not true - it works fine on Netflix. Also having issues opening the app. Content is great but technically this is a poor app.

Please can someone explain how to navigate back to the episode list. It is so frustrating when you have watched an episode of a series and then it doesnt go back to the list of episodes or back to the screen where you can click on the seasons below... all it gives you is "recommendations" not seasons... then i have to search for the show all over again to get to its main screen then go find my next episode. Its So frustrating. Other than that i love the app but this freaks me out so much i would rather use netflix.

This version is problematic. The movie buffers all the time. No it's not my Wi-Fi speed because your previous version played just fine.
