Discerning Hearts

I have been looking for an app like this one made up of rosarie, chaplet, and novena audios for a very long time and thank God I've finally found it. I have other prayer apps but, this is my absolute favorite one. I use it every night. I love falling asleep while listening to the rosary streaming. I also love the audio teachings. This app is very complete. I absolutely love it ❤ and highly recommend it.

The content is wonderful but the app is essentially unusable. No media bookmarks so you cannot easily return to something you only partially listened to. I constantly get the message that I'm offline and of course I am not. You should be able to zoom text as well. Again if it were even marginally friendly to use it would be a five star app.

I previously rated this app a 5 because the content is outstanding. However, recently the app is not functioning properly and the podcasts will stop and need to be closed out and totally restarted every 2-5 minutes. It's so distracting and really takes away from the otherwise wonderful spiritual depth of this app.

UPDATE: The app is fixed! Podcasts can be downloaded and will play without stopping. I am so glad to have this app back! It is my companion when I take my dog for daily walks. Thank you Discerning hearts for all the blessed and beautiful work you do! Thanks to those who commented on problems with the app. I thought it was my phone. If I try to download a podcast, it keeps loading. When I go out of the app and back in, it shows it was downloaded, but will not play. It looks like it is trying to continuously load. I have removed the app and reinstalled it several times to no avail. If I do not download the podcast, I can stream it but then it stops playing frequently. Anyone know what to do? I love using Discerning Hearts, but cannot access it well on my phone like I used to.

Okay aid, would be very good without the background music during the prayers and meditations. There is a whole lot more power in the silence (that is, without the music/background noise). The music so very much detracts from really listening and entering fully into both the prayer and meditation. As a result, all that is really of much benefit are the interviews.

Wonderful app! Two feature suggestions: an ability to bookmark or make shortcuts/folder to individual podcasts and a way to mark/identify ones that have already been listened to.

This app is the best Catholic application. I like the fact that I can learn more about my faith no matter where I am without caring a lot of books. My favorite is anything that has to do with the Carmelite spirituality. Thank you and God bless..
