The app no longer works. The pop up upon start that says, "You're offline! Sorry, it looks like you lost your internet connection. Please reconnect and try again. That would be helpful if it were true. Between my 4G and WiFi connection there's no loss. Clearly by virtue of the fact that I'm leaving this review now before I delete it, I definitely have a data connection. I'll use the website.

Since new design this is now really slow. I don't like the ads. How do I get rid if them? Store locator defaults to USA even though I am in UK

This is a remarkable app. Found my usual shops and several I was unaware of. Can't wait to start using it once I move back to the Chicago area in a couple weeks. LOVE IT!!!

I use this app whenever I am on the road or out of town to find record stores. I have even found stores that I didn't know existed in my area! Love this app!

Record stores come and go. This app provides for user-submitted updates. The TVD staff keeps improving the app, making it great for people who travel, or who just want to know what's new in their own neighborhood. The social, check in feature enhances content and keeps it fresh. Yelp links a big plus. Thanks

Very handy when travelling.

I travel for work, so this app has been invaluable in finding new record stores. In fact, I was driving cross country and stopped in Oklahoma City, hoping to buy some Black Sabbath. Went to Best Buy and was disgusted. Fired up the app and found a local store. Listened to Vol. 4 all the way home. I've used the app on various HTC phones for several years.

Love this app. Locates me record stores wherever I may roam

It doesn't give you a name nor address on the map. Icon for"vinyl" shop moves when you refresh. Doesn't use GPS to figure what's close to you. Google maps will actually give you correct info. Deleted after 2 tries.

I just moved to seattle and it makes it easy to find a store close to me.

I was excited until I opened it and all it gave me were record stores in Munich. And no matter what I do I can't change it.

Wax Trax Records in Las Vegas, NV is my favorite record store. 3 floors of the hardest to find vinyl. Great to see them included in this app!

This app is a must have for anyone who is a vinyl junkie. GPS based record store locator and it is well supported. I emailed about a new store and it was added the next day. Don't leave home without this app!

(Galaxy Nexus, GSM, ICS 4.0.3) Does what it says. Open the app and it shows you stores near you. You can look at a list or a map. The social stuff is cool, you can post shouts and pictures too. There's also a way to tell them about new stores or changes to old stores. (Swipe the lower bar on the home page to the left to show the "Profile" and "Contact" tabs) All in all a very well executed free app which works very well for its comparative youth.This is a geo-aware app. So it loads only the stores around you. This cuts down on data costs. If you want to search for stores in a different locale, Google is your friend. Developer knows about growing pains and is working hard. Some rendering issues on ICS and large screens.

I know of one record store that moved at least two years ago that's still in the wrong location. Missing tons of stores, too. You're better off using Google maps and searching.

I love this app, except that it frequently confuses my location and thinks I am in Baltimore or somewhere in Europe. Update: almost a year later, I still have the same problem.
