É DA PERIFERIA DE MANAUS A PRIMEIRA RÁDIO COMUNITÁRIA LEGALIZADA NO BRASIL
A emissora surgiu de lutas dos comunitários e já conseguiu várias melhorias nas condições sociais dos bairros que atinge. O sinal chega ha várias localidades das zonas leste e norte da cidade.
Manaus – Em 1995 o Brasil descobriu as rádios comunitárias, no formato de rádios livres. Atualmente existe um grande número de emissoras desse tipo. Os números são controversos: para uns 5.5002, para outros 7.000, mas existem estimativas que falam na existência de 10.000 emissoras no país. Elas ousaram iniciar a “reforma agrária no ar”’, enquanto no Parlamento se discutia propostas de leis para a radiodifusão de baixa potência, com visível atraso em relação as demandas sociais para o setor.
Tratava-se de algo inédito na história do país, não enquanto experiência de rádio livre, cujo pioneirismo remonta o início da década de setenta, mas pela elevado número de emissoras demonstrando uma disposição de ocupar as ondas, numa aberta contestação ao controle exclusivo dos meios de comunicação de massa .
A primeira legal do Brasil
Em 1996 as comunidades dos Bairros Amazonino Mendes 1e2, Conj. Amadeu
Botelho, N.S. Fátima 1 e 2, , Novo Aleixo1,2, e 3, Cidade nova 1,2,3 e 5, e outros…, se
organizaram e
deram vida ao MOVIMENTO COMUNITÀRIO PELA CIDADANIA –
(MOCOCI).
Logo o MOCOCI mobilizou-se para ter uma instalação de rádio-difusão, com as
finalidades: levar aos menos favorecidos, incentivando-os na luta por seus direitos,
oferecer espaços para a comunidades e associações divulgarem suas
atividades, estimular, especialmente através da música, o lazer, o convívio social
dentro da cultura Amazônica, prestar serviço de utilidade pública, para que sejam
atendidas as necessidades da população.
E quem mais lutou para legalizar a Rádio foi o Pe. Luiz Giuliani, a alma da
iniciativa, realizou diversas viagens a Brasília, junto ao Ministério das Comunicações,
e conseguiu a concessãoDecreto Legislativo 001/2001.
Trata-se da primeira concessão cedida a uma rádio comunitária no Brasil.A Rádio
comunitária A Voz Das Comunidades, começou oficialmente aos 15 de julho de 2001,
em 87,9 FM. Logo se destacou por conscientizar sobre direitos e deveres, por
trazer a público os problemas de violências e injustiças e por dar voz e vez as
comunidades, aos oprimidos, excluídos, injustiçados das classes populares, das zonas
Norte e Leste de Manaus.
Ela faz uma informação real denunciando os interesses da classe opressora,
neoliberal e globalizante. A Rádio nasceu pela iniciativa da igreja católica, mas não é
confessional, não faz distinção de credo religioso, tampouco faz distinção de etnia,
condição social, credo político. Não admite proselitismo nem propaganda de partidos.
A Rádio possui um bom alcance: pode ser sintonizada em nas abrangências das zonas
Norte e Leste de Manaus
É uma Rádio sem fins lucrativos que sobrevive de doações, apoios culturais e
voluntariado.
A Rádio já cobriu as lutas pelo transportes, água, saúde, ecologia, desarmamento,
conselho tutelar, solidariedades nas enchentes, denuncias de violência contra a

Soon the MOCOCI mobilized to have a radio-broadcasting facility with the
purposes: to bring to the poor, encouraging them to fight for their rights,
provide spaces for communities and associations to disseminate their
activities, encourage, especially through music, leisure, social life
within the Amazon culture, provide public service, to be
met people's needs.
And who else fought to legalize Radio was Fr. Luiz Giuliani, the soul of
initiative, made several trips to Brasília, by the Ministry of Communications,
and got the concessãoDecreto Legislative 001/2001.
This is the first concession granted to a community radio station in Brazil.The Radio
Community Voice Of Communities, officially began on July 15, 2001,
on 87.9 FM. Soon stood out for awareness of rights and duties,
bring the public the problems of violence and injustice and to give voice and the time
communities, oppressed, excluded, injustice of the popular classes, the areas
North and East of Manaus.
It makes a real information denouncing the interests of the oppressing class,
neoliberal and globalizing. Radio was born on the initiative of the Catholic Church, but it is not
confessional, does religious distinction of creed, nor does ethnic distinction,
social status, political belief. It does not allow proselytism or propaganda parties.

Radio is a nonprofit organization that survives on donations, and cultural support
volunteering.
Radio has covered the struggles for transport, water, health, ecology, disarmament,
tutelary council, solidarity in the floods, allegations of violence against
woman, improvements to the neighborhood, etc ...
