Mitel Connect (Formerly ShoreTel) for Android
I created a meeting in outlook using the shoretel buttons added to outlook. Meeting did not show up in my shoretel app. Recreated the meeting in the shoretel app and it gave me a different url. It didnt work. I ended up making the call directly and sharing my screen. Once finished with the call shoretel still shows as busy and you can't receive calls without manually changing the status back to available.
Whenever I attempt to make calls from this app, the call fails and a message pops up that says 'Call Failure - Network Busy'. HOWEVER, if I initiate a call from my desk phone or soft phone then move it to the app while it is ringing, I am able to complete the call. What gives?!?
App is getting better however still not great. You cannot receive calls E.g. if you are a member of a hunt or workgroup. Additionally you cannot make calls if you have call accounting switched on. Crucially missing copy paste of numbers into dialler. App needs more work please.
Didn't work before that well as shoretel, now it doesn't even let me connect with the newest update as Mitel. At least it saved me the headache of exploring further while this non functioning app still eats up your battery like none other. Deleted. Disappointing app.
All these people complaining about the app. I would suggest you verify your network and setup. I have not had any of these issues.
Crashes immediately on open, also displays a ANR whenever an incoming or outgoing call occurs. Android 7.1.2 on LG G6 International.
so bad ................... is the service really cheap or something? why did they choose this vendor.... completely syncs with the android dialer. impossible to keep work calls/contacts separate from personal.
Crashes on opening on stock Android 7.1
When configured correctly!! The new Connect app rocks!
Basically it works, most of the time. You really need to get your network set up correctly, which is apparently not super easy. There is a lag when switching networks and when you phone is locked phone come in "Enterprise call" mode (press any key to accept). You can't manage favorites in the app and all of your cell phone calls and contacts get mingled with your Mitel network calls and contacts, so if you using this app on a personal cell phone it's confusing/ awkward. Overall it works, but it seems more difficult/sloppy than one would hope for.
Since the update the app is crashing as soon as I open it
Hate that I have to reprovision my phone every time I open the app. Also replaces my server DNS names with IP addresses which doesn't work. Have to change them back every time. How did that make it past development?
App is ok it's a great face lift over the old app. The issues we are having if you turn on audio over cellular it does not hold that setting so you have to toggle it back on every time. Also if you are using cellular the phone does not ring when you are getting and incoming call, outgoing works fine. If I'm using WiFi the phone will ring with an incoming call but most of the time I'm not on WiFi so that's a big issue.
Still a piece of c**p of an app. Frequent crashes and no ring with incoming calls are the 2 biggest problems. Unlike other similar apps, this app have to be running in memory for it to give any kind of call notification.
New app works great. If you're having issues, your system was not installed correctly. This is not a plug 'n play app. The supporting server and PBX need to be installed by a professional.
Another worst app from shoretel. Open source relesing better app than this. Evertime its chashes, will get hang while calling.. Kindly hire good developer and resolve this issues. Or dont propose this worst SMC to customers.
WORTHLESS! I'm forced to use it every day for my job. Maybe I need a new job, it's that bad! 4 taps to get to your contact list, no quick scroll option so you have to scroll through every name, you cannot add people to your "favorites" from within the app, if you try to search for someone and press the search box the search box will open... but no keyboard to type the name in. If you want the keyboard you have to tap the search box AGAIN. Very clumsy, poorly planned app. Makes business way more difficult.
I cannot tell if I'm connected. Keeps saying connection interrupted...
Bette than the previous version but still unstable. Often fails to reconnect after moving between WiFi and GSM. Crashes when Bluetooth connected.
Terrible call quality, constantly crashes, long delay in communication.
Works, but really needs IM functionality.
When it works it's fantastic.... unfortunately mine crashes nearly everytime the phone locks/the app is idle. Also the incoming call notification intermittently gets stuck. I have to force stop the app or restart the phone to clear it. I'll be happy to update this review if the stability issues are resolved.
At first glance this appears to be an improvement over the previous app - the ShoreTel Mobility Client. . Unfortunately, it is missing simple functionality like Instant Messaging. Directory lookups are much much slower and other issues abound. Great face-lift - but missing critical features.
Great UI, app is not at all feature complete and has greatly suffered from the forced release. Whoever mandated they release now was foolish and straight up wrong.
Overall a great graphical redesign, too bad it ends there. If, and when, you get a phone working with it a few things seem to be missing, most notably IM. A few times too many I have had the incoming call notification fail to go away on the phone even if the call ended hours ago and was answers from my desk not mobility. While these seem minor, for an app that is being forced out by Shoretel by the deployment teams due to the imminent removal of the older version it seems in poor taste.
Personal dial has been removed so the app is now unless when integrated with car Bluetooth dial. Had to remove the app and switch back to the old one.
The app moves toward unifying the ui of Shoretel connect (compare to the chrome plugin) but since it will not start on my phone, I can't give it a real review.
Looks great....but it never connects to the server
Brilliantly Simple!!!
All these users complaining of lock ups and app not working. We been using the app pre-connect ST13 and now connect. We have seen none of these issues, maybe some of you all need to verify your network and config. Yes audio quality can be an issue, but in most cases especially on public wifi you have no control over network so it's not the app.
Very nice redesign of user interface however much funtionality lost and App crashes frequently on Samsung S5 with Android 6.0.1. Had to unintelligible and revert to precious App.
The app broke for me. Unable to connect to shoretel mobility router citing certificate issues. Installed previous version. At least that still works for now.
Crashes a lot and missing basic features like IM. Looks nice but needs stability improvements.
Doesn't work, call quality ducks and kills my battery. Installed old app will use until they disable.
Much improved user interface, much decreased stability. Constant crashes.
Can't really say. Wouldn't let me login. "Unprocessable entity"

Ugh. Was really excited about this. Then I used it... App starts up when making calls from your personal number, so you have a call from your phone and this app running at the same time with no way of closing it out. Rings indefinitely when getting a call. Glitches out and won't let you answer. CONSTANTLY loses connection and drops the call, even when wi-fi is strong.
