About Vacation & Travel Journal
The Vacation Journal is a MajorForms android application that allows you to track and document your vacation or trip incorporating images, video, audio recordings, and/or text. It also allows you to track (with GPS) all or parts of your vacation/trip and enables the data to be synchronized to a free website created by you to store, edit, and/or share your trip with others. You can also allow family and friends to view your vacation during or after your trip by sharing it through your website, Facebook or Google+, Twitter, Linkedin, e-mail, etc. Once the vacation-trip is uploaded to your website, you can edit the data, create reports and/or maps, and download the data or reports to spreadsheets or other documents. You do not need to have access to the internet to run the application, but if you do, you can upload your data and preserve it. I added a week (+) into the journal and cannot see my GPS pinpoints on my map without a crash. This app is NOT for beginners, it is difficult until you spend time with it. I personally would like to have the ability to add in entries from previous days, when I didn't have time to log them. I also was looking to log my trips not so much POI. Otherwise, seems to be ok for the advanced user.

I downloaded this app and spent a couple of hours designing new fields and creating a trip log. Had no problem connecting to the server (multiple times) to upload my info and data. Now, today, it will not connect to the server. There is no help available ANYWHERE and the error message is worse than useless. (Operation failed. No data has been changed). The android app is really great and I guess I could use it as an offline record of my trip but I really wanted to upload to a website for the family.

Cannot cut/ copy and paste. Needs to be able to print to file/ PDF of line for security. Needs to have ability to save maps for offline use. Can take a position reference, but cannot show it on map. Cannot change numbered event to dated event. When syncing, it does not carry over all media information to the cloud.

Great Idea! Not too bad to work with. Will use on my cross America Motorcycle tour. It worked good but now has a stupid tweet thing on map. Now not so happy with it. Get the tweet off the map!

I used first Geology sample collector. ..just fantastic apps I really like it ..it does what I am looking for. However in order to make it perfect I would suggest 1.Allow to store data in other clouds like dropbox. 2.allow us to reduce the fields in the menues. 3.allow to save media in External sd card in order to reduce usage in the phone memory. Thsnks

I used this app for the first time on a six week long trip of a lifetime, to Europe and Russia, and Sochi Winter Olympics. But unfortunately couldn't share it with family and friends, because the website wasn't updating for me, and I couldn't work out how to use the GPS function, couldn't ( and still don't know how to) use the theodolite function, etc etc. Now, more than a month after my trip ended, I have worked a few more things out, and updated/uploaded changes to the website, and will now share it with friends and family. A great app, but difficult to use, unless you're a real tech guru. So, how about those instructions, so we can all learn how to use it.

This is a travel application that logs your entire journey through gps points that are recorded at intervals you decide(to control battery usage) and you can watch your trip later on Google maps. You can add events on your journey and link them with pictures, videos etc then add your notes(write your travel diary) and several other nice details about your journey. Its drawback is that it takes time to learn this app, perhaps understandably considering this app's power, but the interface can still b improved

The app looks perfect for in-progress holiday logging. Unfortunately, I didn't have it ony recent trip and finding it very difficult to add locations retropectively as the GPS is the only way to do it. Also wish there was an option to include a website related to the event your recording.

Think about all the things you want to record about your holiday, or trips, or even recording "moments" in your life.... this app does so much, it's easy to be over whelmed. Personally, I can't think of any way to improve this app, Im a picky as they come when it comes to "i want it my way". the fact its free. is insane !!!! Maybe the layout, and G.U.I could do with some work, so you can input all the information you want a bit fast, but thats only because you can put in everything you ever imaged in to it.... all I want is a round the world trip, so I can use it to its fully potentional

I was looking for a travel journal app for quite a while. Finally found this and after using on 2 long trips (1 week each), it pretty much does everything I was looking for. I'm surprised it doesn't have more downloads! Still have to test more how well it does with all the events I've created and see if there is a space limit for attaching videos & pictures.

This is a decent app. Probably the best app on market as a vacation notepad. But the app needs to improve. The UI is bad. Should move to a halo one. When a field is left as empty it would be nice to leave it out of the view, rather than show it as emptu and leave a huge space. The syncing is also bad. I generally dont care much, but I need this to improve

Downloaded for LG Spectrum. Upon downloading, get a screen that didn't do anything. Tried to create an event and shuts down every time. Not worth the time.

A really good vacation journal app. Haven't been able to find any other ones like it. It's full of nice features, and the fact that it creates a website is genius. It's great for letting friends and family "watch" your trip. I love the app but.I did take away one star because of the design of the app. It really could look more attractive. 4 stars

So I went on vaca sailing and thought this was the one application I needed. It just kept force closing every time I tried to save GPS location. I should have downloaded another app as back up. No tracking of my vaca at all.

I have been using this for well over a year on a galaxy s4 and it has been great minus a few minor crashes. I just got a galaxy note 7 and it the app crashes every time I try to add a photo from my gallery, regardless of storage location. I can only add photos if I take them from the app now. Not sure if it is a problem with the newer android os or the phone but either way there needs to be an update for this functionality to be restored.
