About Sleep as Microsoft Band Add-On
Add-on for smart alarm clock Sleep as Android provides bridge between alarm application and smart watch by sending accelerometer data to the phone. In the morning will wake you up by vibrating until you manually dismiss alarm on the phone.
Prerequisites: Installed Microsoft Health application, paired and connected Microsoft Band with the phone, Band is not in "Sleep tracking mode" and "Haptic Alert Level" is set to value other than Off.
Usage: In Sleep as Android go to the Settings -> Smartwatch and enable "Use smartwatch". Later when you start sleep tracking Band will be connected automatically. Application itself does not have any user interface, is ad-free and does not access the Internet.
Known limitation: Band does not send accelerometer data in sleep mode. Only one connected Band is now supported.
Application was tested with first Microsoft Band but should work with second Band too.

No sooner had I installed this than someone tried to take over my Microsoft account.

Working on my Band 2. Download app. Follow the settings, enable smartwatch. Press Sleep tracking in Sleep as Android app, app connects to phone & starts tracking. Only run a 1 minute test so if I have drop out issues during a nights sleep I'll update this review. Soo all good :-)

I've found the tracking to be unreliable. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't and there's no rhyme or reason behind it. I suspect though that a recent update has messed it up totally as it hasn't worked for the last few nights. I'm going to go back to using my phone to track which is a shame as I deliberately bought the band rather than fitbit because of its compatibility with Sleep as Android.

The sleep detection on the Band 2 seems to interfere with Sleep as Android when it kicks in. I've found no way to cancel the Band 2's automatic sleep detection other than waking up several times a night and interrupting the band's sleep tracking. I realize this isn't your fault, but it would be helpful if the app could either prevent the band from automatically starting it's own sleep tracking or continue receiving the data even when the band's sleep tracking is running.

I would give it 5 stars because it works well with my band 2 but it doesn't track heart rate yet, as soon as that happens 5 stars all the way!,getting worse with every update, now it won't track because the band 2 has auto sleep tracking.

App works perfectly, main reason for 3 stars is I went to bed with a full charge on my band, and woke up to a low battery.

Can't make it work with my phone, have the original band and a pebble paired to my phone, the app will try to connect to the pebble every time (even when the pebble doesn't have the add-on for sleep tracking)
