It's horribly outdated and in massive need of an overhaul.

I created my account by using Google, the app doesn't let me login with that however?? Seems weird.

I really really wanted to like this app the problem is it only works half of the time many times I take a picture of a receipt and it never processes so I lose that receipt thus lose my deduction not what I want in an app

Much like most apps... The developers spent more time making the iOS version than the Android version. In the iOS version you can upload your receipt and select the category you want, all within the app. The Android version, you must upload the receipt and then login on a computer to assign a category. I don't get much use out of the Android version as I use my iPad to log receipts to save the extra step. I hope an update comes soon so I can start using my Android phone for this! I'll change my rating when it's available.

Terrible app. The UI is ancient. Receipts never finished processing. Claim to take an hour... I scanned receipt this morning and nothing 12 hours later (and it's a non-holiday weekday). Menus are terribad. Unable to even attempt to upgrade account. No pricing info. Vague FAQ. Just no. Not even sure how this is was an idea in someone's head.

The mobile app hasn't been updated in ages and it's still using 2016 mileage rates and it's nearly 2018! Also, wish I could access my business cards that were scanned and available on the site.

Not fit for purpose.

This program is difficult to use. If you are on the free version you can upload your recipes and then log your own receipts, but only through the website. The website itself is insanely slow and a pain in the butt to use. I'll keep trying this for a month or so, but frankly I doubt it will get any better.

Has been working well for months now. It still is a bit awkward, requiring more taps than necessary, requiring that I type the note each time even when it is the same note as on the previous receipt, delays opening the camera, and camera time out when I try to get it setup up ahead of receiving a receipt to scan. Also, it is expensive. BUT, compared to better reviewed receipt scanner software (e.g. Wave Receipts), this is the only one that doesn't do a horrible--I mean worthless--job of transcribing receipts. In fact, no matter how bad the scan, this software seems to nearly always transcribe it correctly. Clearly there are people interpreting the scan rather than fully automated OCR. And so, this is my preferred scanner for the time being.

I need to be able to put start and stop mileages in. Doesn't do that. Also when I start a new trip I cannot change the date and time for retrospective journey. No use at all

If you have an email that is from any of 1,000+ top level domains added over the past three years you're not allowed to create an account for this application. There's more to the Internet other just .com, .net, .org, and .gov. want this comment changed send an email to address of this non-gmail created google account.

Why pay for a service that doesn't provide support for its customers? The OCR is about 70%+. Not too bad. 1 of the most important features that is NOT available is SalesTax for the US. Regardless, of that, manually entered this info for about 300 receipts only to find out there is no reporting available. Emailed support 4X over a 3wk period with NO response other than the automated response for cancelling the service. Too bad, bcs this svc has good potential, but w/o support, this is NOT worth PAYING for.

This is the perfect app for me since I do a lot of traveling in my line of work. Thought this would be a good way to keep track of my spending. I created a new account ( never asked to create a password just for the email) so when I downloaded it on my other device I chose an existing account THEN it asked for a password that I never made. So I thought just resetting the password would work... I was wrong. Just made it to where I can't even log in now. Please fix soon

Don't waste your time. Camera shot of receipt never captures. Just freezes. Using S4 Mini.

Upgraded device to lollipop 5.1.1 (lg stylo). Now mileage is never able to tag geolocation getting spinning indication forever. If exited and retry, previous entry time and date changed to current and is overwritten. Unfortunate, as mileage tracking is my primary use of this application.

Really crippled version as compared to the iOS version. Why??

The mileage tracker is nearly useless. It hangs when I hit Add Stop. Then often it starts a new trip and overwrites the part of the trip I just drove. Too stressful to use it.

I signed up via the web by linking Google +. Couldn't log into the Android app then now link those accounts together. Just isn't worth the effort.

The app is great in concept but has a few limitations. Often (30% of the time), I take a photo of a receipt hit save, and then I'm taken back to the entry screen to start over again with no option to add notes then send. The other problem is the preview of the receipt doesn't allow you to tap to zoom in to check the image quality.

I have attempted to log in numerous times, but never able to. I even changed my password a few times and still it says "Login failed" every time. I can log into the website just fine, but not the app. Useless.

For a while I thought my receipts, scanned by the camera through the app, were being saved only to discover that they weren't -had strong 4G too. Fundamental fail, they should focus on reliability before adding features. This is frustrating, they need to really work on this. I have an S5.

I am so excited to finally be able to see ALL my receipts on the android platform now like on iOS. Thank you very much.

Uploaded 5 receipts, OCR didn't work to itemize the receipt, waited almost 24 hours to get results only to find the work performed would have taken 2 seconds on my part. Overpriced junk app as usual.

Does save my receipts. Asks me to login to my account again almost every time I open the app which is very annoying.

One of the best

The Shoeboxed service itself is great, worth at least four stars if you use it through the website on a computer. The Shoeboxed app for Android is not. I set up my account, using the website on a desktop computer, to log in using my g+ information. The Android app will not use that - it requires a username & password. Not user-friendly. I am deleting the app until I see that it is fixed to use the same login method as the web access.

So far used it first time , not a good app, blk screen most the time, back button does not work, report does not show copy of receipts, already uninstalled

It does a great job to transfer the receipt to digital version with personal verification. But, it takes a long time to process. I would rather get the information immediately and verify by myself. It also requires payment after processing 5 receipts. The price could be reasonable for a business, but not for personal user. Also, the app is so slow and frequently freeze.

It used to be efficient and reliable. Now it's reliably slow to open and to process bills. Plus crashes after EVERY scan.

I have reset my password twice and it still won't acknowledge it and let me sign in. pressing the link for help gives a 404. There seems to be two websites, perhaps one for Oz and one for the row. But links jump between them. The ios app is confusing but at least lets me use google to sign in. To even get a password I had to visit the website as they've forgotten to include 2 of their 4 sign in methods. In summary - use Expensify.

Very frustrating it won't give option to log in with Google plus like it did on desktop version. Try and put in my Google plus info and says it's wrong. Try and create a new account says one already exists under my Google plus email. Ok so why won't it take my Google plus password:( super sad need to get my biz stuff done and this app is holding me up. Pls FIX!!! Or tell me what I am doing wrong

But now requires a phone reboot before each use.
