Shiprack Package Tracker for Android
My current 2* review: This USED to be the best package tracking app around. But now the dev is unresponsive and features (like email forwarding of tracking numbers) don't work. Time to find a replacement. Unless there is a significant update, don't waste your time. My prior 5* review: Simply brilliant! This is TripIt for package tracking. Awesome and well-done. Dev is amazingly responsive.
6/2017, emails forwarded are bounced back, just like my emails asking for help. I think this once great app is deaf. ...... Great idea and excellent implementation. Could not be any simpler. Updated review because the same day as my original review, they implemented one of my feature requests! Well worth the $1 asking price!! Remaining feature suggestion (which they are already working on): pull the reference field from the email and use it to name the item in the android view, making it easier to distinguish without having to edit/rename. THANKS!
Loved this app for years, but like many other recent reviews, the app no longer refreshes on its own. There was a comment from developer about adding a manual refresh, but now auto-refresh does not work, so I don't get any notifications. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling and did not fix. Will up my rating once they fix this.
Does not sync anymore on it's own. It used to be later than carrier email or text updates in it's prime, but this was always my favorite package tracker. Now that there's absolutely no syncing or notifications, I've resorted to carrier options. Sad!
I used to love this app, and the support they offered was good. However, now every time I forward a shipping notice, it gets rejected because the email box is full. I went into the app and cleared out everything I could from my side, but nothing changed. Before that, push notifications stopped coming. It had happened before and support fixed it after I contacted them, but this time there was no resolution. I ended up paying for another app which doesn't work half so well as this one did. I'd be happy to pay for this app if it would just go back to working again.
Once was extremely reliable but no longer auto updates. What's the point without this feature? Author has never responded to any of my requests for assistance. My recommendation...find another shipment tracker app..
Was great but pretty much useless now. Their inbox is full so mail forwarding no longer works;everything just bounces. You can enter shipping information manually but the auto-refresh no longer works. Manual refresh is spotty at best. Several emails sent to their support mailbox have gone unanswered. Time to uninstall and find something else to use.
Usually my favorite shipping app but it stopped automatically updating, you now have to manually refresh. The developer abandoned this project once before, hopefully he comes back and fixes this.
Edit: The auto sync stopped working and not the email forwarding is m not working either. Dev used to be pretty responsive but I guess they ran out of money. The best shipping app I have used. Forward the tracking email from Amazon and it automatically starts tracking the package in the app.
I've been a user of this app for a long time, even paid for it, but it seems the developer has abandoned it (I hope they are ok). It no longer works for UPS at all. Google, please consider removing this app from the store as it no longer works.
This has been my default shipment tracking app for years, primarily for the feature that allows forwarding emails to them for automatic tracking. That email address now bounces, and emails to support are not responded to. It appears the app development is dead. If I had an alternative to recommend, I'd provide it. I've always liked the idea of Slice, but there's no way I'm giving them unlimited access to read all of my emails.
Was my go-to for years until apparently it became an abandoned project. Emails sent to add tracking numbers automatically bounced back from a full mailbox. I continued to add tracking numbers manually but recently ups numbers stopped even being able to refresh status so it just says status unknown all the time. Very sad.
Used to be the best but for a few months now, shipments are no longer updated and therefore, the notifications don't work. Apparently, it's an app error so like everyone else, waiting on an update. Let's go!
UPDATE 7/2017: Appears to be defunct. The inbox for forwarding messages is full and has been for a month, so the main useful feature is now dead. Auto-refreshing seems to have stopped working awhile back. Too bad, because this one was the best... I tried a couple others, but the confirmation email forwarding is killer - forward the email to the shiprack address and it shows up in the app almost instantly!
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! This app has a long history of being the best. Unfortunately things have changed. Is hasn't been updated since June of 2016. Support has stopped answering and the app has problems. It's sad to see a once great app fall.
Looks like they've disappeared. As mentioned in many other reviews, this used to be a great app, but it no longer updates and now the tracking emails are no longer accepted (says inbox full), so it no longer works.
Does not notify anymore, unless you you refresh it manually, please fix or you are going to lose a lot of users. I reported this before, but now is worst. I've been using it for a long time so I will give you the opportunity to fix it.
UPDATE 2: Now all emails with tracking info are bounced back saying the mailbox is full. Guessing this is a dead project UPDATE: Used to be great, but as many others have noticed, it no longer auto-refreshes anymore. No notifications. Have to open app and manually reload to see anything
Today's package is the third time the app stopped tracking a shipment. My package was delivered and the USPS tracking web page showed delivery and several intermediate scans that were not reported in the app. Refreshing it every day manually made no difference.
I just got a bounce back from the server that the mailbox is full when I tried to forward my tracking numbers. I also have been getting errors in that it doesn't automatically update my tracking period I have to manually refresh to see the status of my tracking.
Used to be my favorite package tracker, but now it won't sync. Too bad I need to use another package tracker app.
No longer updates status or pushes notifications. Ruined. Hopefully the developer fixes it, but it's been over six months already.
Edit: No longer works, their mailbox had been full for months. Seems abandoned. Try a different app. Tracks packages for me, all the time. Wonderfully helpful.
This was my fav tracking. I loved sending an email and have it auto track. Alas this thing no longer fully functions and support is non-existent.
I used to love this app but it keeps going downhill. About a year ago, the e-mailed function ceased with "mailbox full" notifications. Then the auto update failed and I had to do manual refreshes to see current status. Now it seems to no longer recognize UPS tracking numbers and displays "Unknown" with no info available. I keep hoping that someone will fix the problems so I haven't uninstalled it yet, but meanwhile I installed a different app.
now doesn't update even after refreshed. It states package is in Moreno Valley, CA and I now have it at home in Phoenix...
Has recently stopped giving push notifications. I have to manually refresh the app for status updates now. Please fix!
Was great, now just OK without notifications and refresh working as they used to... Developer just seems to have given up on this one....
EDIT Jan 2017 (v2.3). The thing I like best about Shiprack (compared to other package trackers) is the fact that you don't have to copy the tracking number from another place, then paste it into Shiprack. Instead, you just forward the email to shiprack, and it "reads" the tracking number automatically. So, I set up a gmail filter that (i) recognizes any email from Amazon that tells me that an item has been shipped then (ii) automatically forwards that email to shiprack. Then (iii) the alert automatically popped up in Shiprack (on my phone) within a few minutes, without my having to do anything. This worked well for about 10 months (Jan 2016 till about October) and I gave it 5 stars. However, as others have reported, recently the auto-update stopped working. So step (iii) above no longer works -- now I have to open the app and manually refresh it in order to see a new shipment (or a shipment's changed status). Down to 3 stars until the devs repair the auto-update function
06/2017... Uh oh, mailbox you send delivery notifications to is full... Have we lost Dev support? Best tracking app but would love to see support for Amazon's own tracking/delivery system
This app is vaporware and is no longer maintained. Automatic tracking no longer works and the app as a standalone appears to be failing nowadays. Switching to other apps. Super sad because it WAS my favorite. This developer has pooped the proverbial bed.
The devs don't appear to be concerned with replying to users in the comments, time to uninstall
Not working anymore I have to check it myself and refresh uninstalling I found something way better.
I've been a loyal user for years... but lately the emails are bouncing back, saying the inbox is full
I've been using this app since it's very early days, without a doubt my favorite until recently. No more auto notifications means I have to manually refresh to see if something got delivered. Unfortunately, after years of use, I will be looking for another tracking app. Still hoping this will be updated with that feature again
Used to be the best package tracking app around. Tracking #s sent via mail now gets bounced back.
Set up your email to auto forward emails to Ship rack and it works perfectly.
Once the pinnacle of package tracking, this app has become abandonware. You can still add tracking via the website, but many features have ceased to function. Email forwarding to add tracking hasn't worked in months. Finally uninstalling.
No longer auto updates or auto synch. Disappointing. This used to be the best app of its type. No longer.

I will have to join the chorus. Have been using this app for years, worked great. Now all my emails are kicked back. You can still add them online but now its not tracking very well either. Of the three packages I am currently tracking the only one showing tracking is one from China/USPS delivery? Yet I am able to track the other two using different sources. If it isn't fixed will have to go elsewhere.
