Sheridan is proud to offer a collection of hybrid mobile applications to enhance the experience of students, faculty, staff and visitors who interact with Sheridan. The apps are designed to work on all iOS and Android smart phones. The display will automatically adjust according to the device.
A truly Sheridan cooperative effort, the apps have been a combined effort of many parts of the Sheridan Community including: Faculty of Applied Arts and Design, Faculty of Applied Science and Technology, Sheridan's Information Technology department, Sheridan Marketing Services and several talented Sheridan graduates. We will continue to develop, expand and improve the apps. If you would like to send us your suggestions, please submit your message via the Feedback app. We welcome your ideas.
JAVACAM
Check how many people are in line at each coffee shop. This unique application displays a real-time cartoon image of the line-up at each coffee shop. The store fronts and characters are hand drawn by Sheridan grads. View information about each coffee shop such as store hours as well as information about each artist. Click the Refresh button to update the line count and look for the characters to change dynamically. Can you find the Bruin Bear?
LOCATION SERVICE
Find your way around campus. Select a campus and click on a specific building to view the floor maps.
Use the Search Button to find specific rooms, or search by category or keyword to find classrooms, meetings rooms, food and other services on campus. The room will be pinpointed on the campus and floor maps under the destination tab.
Use the Compass Button to activate the "Where am I" feature. Your current location will be pinpointed on the map and periodically updated as you walk. Use this feature to help navigate from your current location to your destination.
Added feature on IOS devices: on the city map, get turn-by-turn spoken directions from your current location to any campus.
SLATE2
Access Sheridan's new on-line Learning and Teaching Environment (SLATE2).
Note: access to SLATE1 is not supported in this app as SLATE1 will be retired in the near future.

Very slow and needs update bug time. Looks like very old has well. Compared to other college/uni apps this is my least favorite.

UI needs a facelift, the app needs new features, and Slate needs to be built internally into the app. Having Sheridan E-mail built in would be nice too. The app hasn't been updated in 2 years. Sheridan is better than this.

This application is no use unfortunately. Only the tim line up is ok. Rest I can do from my browser. I would like to see sheridan mail for starters. I mean it is really important to establish a mail app. Cause than we won't have to login through 300 sites just to get to it. Please show more useful work and not just joking around like I see here. Thanks.

Simply put, this app needs to be upgraded. The interface is far behind similar apps created by other postsecondary institutions. Most of the information on there is outdated.

Is a decent app(and as for Sheridan mail, you can connect internal with android or iPhone, and is on their website) but I do want to see feature of slate 2 internally instead of taking me to my browser

I love the coffee shop waiting times feature. This feature alone would have several students with Android handsets install this app. The art and design of that feature is also top notch! (Extra stars to the bear in the line, lol!) The one thing that I would like to be improved is to integrate the sites into the app itself, especially with SLATE2. This is probably in the development road map already but would love to see everything integrated in the near future. Keep up the good work!
