Orbit - Find Keys & Phone for Android
Need more work and tweak for software and hardware. Not function very well. Slow to connect. not user friendly. Button hard to click in and bulge.
Stupid app doesn't even connect properly. I have to turn on bluetooth and pair with the device before I can put it somewhere far from me and when I turn off bluetooth it doesn't work. Overall this app and device needs alot of improvements.
The alarm goes off randomly, even with the separation alarm setting off. And it only works about half the time to locate my keys--it just loads and loads. Waste of money.
No good atm. Still has bugs. Previous version lost connection all the time and no alarm or reconnection. New update goes off all the time even when they are next to each other. Seperation alarm is off in settings but the orit always sounds. Phone battery is drained so quickly. I have to uninstall untill its fixed.
Great idea. Poor execution. Loved the idea. Bought two alarms. Then they started going off ALL the time whether I am at home or not. All night too. Have you ever tried removing batteries from these in the middle of the night? Have tried lots of things and only uninstalling this app has worked. If you ever deal with this problem (seems to be common looking at the reviews) please let me know. Until then they'll sit in a drawer. Sorry I can't recommend them.
Sync is s.l.o.w. Always beeps even when phone and keys are beside each other even when in the safe zone. Doesnt beep outside the safe zone. A bit useless and pointless. Had high hopes when I bought this product 2 months ago.
Abit unpractical as it uses bluetooth and i do not like to always have my bluetooth on. Reconnection as mentioned bit slow.. dont think i will use it and not really impressed. Meh.
The idea is great but it doesn't work. Simply wouldn't connect to my phone often, particularly when I needed it. Also caused my GPS to stop functioning properly in other applications.
Pretty unusable for anything that you don't ALWAYS want with you. Plus even in my small house it constantly alerts I've left it behind when I haven't left. If it could take Android intents (please!) at least I could use Tasker or Automate etc to tell it to turn on and off at the right times.
Won't stop beeping no matter what. Phone and keys are near each other and it beeps. Nothing's moved, nothing's changed its beeping. I'm talking on my phone and it beeps. Horrible
Orbit has stopped on note 5 SM-N920i
Keeps ringing randomly when im near it with my phone after update taking it back
This is bad device
Wouldn't leave it running just in case I am separated from my keys because it drains battery. If I've lost my keys I need to be able to turn the app on and have it sync while I'm walking around the house, then press the button but it doesn't sync for ages, just keeps keeps searching
Installed app on 12/29/16. Worked fine when I installed app and did as directions say. Then this morning, just does nothing. I have everything running, Bluetooth, gps, data, everything. It just constantly says searching in the app. Please release an update to fix. Thx
Great idea, but needs work. My phone randomly disconnects from my orbit. And doesn't work at all if I don't have the app on. Can you set it up to run in the background?
It's all fun and games for the first 20 min but as soon as you walk away from the keys the app loses the orbit. Reinstall the orbit and app and still the same thing. Please get this working as it is now a useless disk flicking around on my keys.
Bought it cheap. Don't loose my wallet anymore
Seems to work ok but uses a lot of GPS. Also when I hit the settings wheel in the app it crashes 100% of the time.
Finding my keys is good, but I can't "find" my phone.
Find your keys with your phone find your phone with your keys.
I have an s4 and it has come in so handy I have hearing problems and can not hear the beeper when I have lost my keys but the phone let's me know how close they are my only problem is I cannot afford another one for my other set of keys lol.
I bought this turned it on it worked for 2 hours and then the battery was flat I have a note 4 also I can't see any way to disable the notification
My Samsung Note 4 is supposed to be compatible but the device constantly disconnects so I have to find the phone and reconnect so it defeats the purpose somewhat. Would like support as I want it to work. As others have said it did work at first but after a couple of days stopped.
The orbit up date on my phone dose not allow anything to work through my Samsung. Before the update worked perfectly fine. Now it says i have a constant dead battery on my orbat (yes i have changed the battery) and dosnt find phone on phone dosnt find orbit.
I can't get the symbol off the top of my tool bar and it constantly pops up telling me to tap to edit settings. This is getting very annoying, how can I stop this as all I want is my time, battery power etc at top of phone.
I have an S5, When 8 ft away Find Orbit just continues to search. Have to Uninstall App or it runs down my battery. Data Usage Spikes in Search, Battery Usage is huge and it will continue to when KEYS IN HAND, must REMOVE APP to Stop Search. Don't waste your Money, Time or Data Usage. Returning ASAP! Doesn't Work........
It's such a great idea and it could be extremely useful... if it worked. I bought it for my wife, who has an iPhone 6S, and she cannot connect to it. I tried it with my Galaxy 6S, was able to connect, but once I went out of range (which was way less than 100 ft, more like 40 ft) and came back it would not reconnect; it would just search and search and search. Super giant waste of money.
I bought two of these before christmas for my girlfriend and I. Hers works fine on her iPhone but mine does not work at all for my Samsung Galaxy S6. I've been very patient waiting for you guys to release an update that fixed this issue, but all updates thus far have not. Great idea but very disappointed that I wasted $40 on this
I can connect it, but the connection doesn't stay. A total waste of money.
Key finding app
Will be taking it back to get our money back because it does not connect. Tried numerous times on three different compatible phone.
App can't connect to device, even though Android can pair natively through Bluetooth settings. Followed instructions as set out in manual. Nexus 6p with Bluetooth 4.2
I spent AGES trying to get the orbit to pair with my phone. If the instructions had said a light will go on when the battery is installed correctly (I had assumed the battery wasn't working) and that when the button (that was hard to find, too) was pressed, it would chirp, I could have saved a lot of time and frustration.
I was reasonably happy I could connect with my keys via blutooth. Unfortunately two days later the app dies and does not connect. The battery was new. This is no good. I may have lost 35 dollars buying the device.
I like the product so far. I was hesitant in getting it because of some of the reviews or even a lack of reviwes. I have no issues with the map. However I have a slight issue of reconnecting the orbit once my bluetooth has been switched off & on again. After a lot of fiddling around I can usually get it to reconnect but it is very time consuming and not very user friendly for someone who might not know much about their phone settings. Other then that if bluetooth stays on then its a recommendable product
This is a really great idea and I was so excited to use it - except the map will not load whatsoever! Renders the item kind of useless honestly. Would appreciate some troubleshooting help. Cheers
Are you kidding? How do you replace the battery? How do you set it up?
It took awhile to figure out my Orbit. Firstly it works best with higher end phones. Now I have it working with my iPhone 5. It works well but I would recommend keeping the separation alarm turned off unless you are out and possibly could leave your phone or keys behind. At home it is not necessary. You can find list keys or phone easily at home without the separation on. If this is not turned off you ca use a lot of battery. So to those who say it does not work, try again as it is a very useful little gadget

My friend bought this for me not knowing that it wasn't compatible with my android 4.1.2 phone. Not everyone upgrades their phone cos a new one is out. Now it's a useless buzzer for my tablet. won't recommend to anyone Edit: my tablet doesn't even find it anymore. Bluetooth is on but continues to search endlessly. Useless
